I am now on day 3 of my blow out and while some of the curls fell, the volume has held nicely and it doesn't look greasy yet. Ten friends also offers makeup services and most of the staff do both hair and makeup. Pricing is a little high, but at least the style has lasted for days making it worth the price. They are extremely uncomfortable, and during shampooing my head ends up in a position that causes significant strain on the neck, head, and lower back. Unfortunately, this isn't just my experience--I've heard other clients mention the same discomfort, and I've noticed people regularly getting up afterward commenting that they're in pain. It feels like an issue that could be improved fairly easily, but it does impact what is otherwise a very good salon experience. This salon kept coming up on my Instagram. I decided to take a chance on this salon. My whole experience with Alia Rose was amazing from booking to check out. It's always scary to try a new salon for color. When I saw some of their work online, I decided to give them a try. When I called to make my appointment the person who answered the phone was friendly and took her time. I asked questions about their payment methods. Stylist is able to take cash/venmo/zelle/ or even a check for tip. Nice that they offer all of these options. The salon is located on a busy street with street parking. There is a pedestrian cross walk right in front of the salon. I was greeted promptly and the interior of the salon was beautiful. I was scheduled with Emilee for my full highlight and touch up. She listened to my thoughts and took the time to explain pricing up front. I appreciated that she told me what to expect right away as the salon sticker shock is never pleasant. What I also noticed is that everyone who worked here seemed genuinely happy and that they enjoyed their work. Staff helped each other out and complimented their co-workers color and styles.
