I wanted to wait a few days after my service to write my review to see hair lasted. After some disappointing customer service at my long term salon, I needed a change. This salon kept coming up on my Instagram. I decided to take a chance on this salon. My whole experience with Alia Rose was amazing from booking to check out. It's always scary to try a new salon for color. When I saw some of their work online, I decided to give them a try. When I called to make my appointment the person who answered the phone was friendly and took her time. I asked questions about their payment methods. Stylist is able to take cash/venmo/zelle/ or even a check for tip. Nice that they offer all of these options. The salon is located on a busy street with street parking. There is a pedestrian cross walk right in front of the salon. I was greeted promptly and the interior of the salon was beautiful. I was scheduled with Emilee for my full highlight and touch up. She listened to my thoughts and took the time to explain pricing up front. I appreciated that she told me what to expect right away as the salon sticker shock is never pleasant. What I also noticed is that everyone who worked here seemed genuinely happy and that they enjoyed their work. Staff helped each other out and complimented their co-workers color and styles. My color turned out great and I am happy with the results. I already pre-booked my next appointment. Thankful for a salon closer to home with great customer service. From reception to service this salon really cares about their clients and it shows. read more

I have avoided high-end salons for quite some time because of the cost. My hair is baby fine and I've always had an issue with having to pay upwards of $250 to get my hair colored professionally. So, recently I opted to do an at home color myself and was incredibly unhappy with it so I called on Alia Rose to the rescue! I have heard of this salon over the years as I have a couple friends that go here. This is probably one of the prettiest and most well appointed salons I have ever been to. The staff, and I mean the entire staff from the front desk to the colorist and the shampoo girl, were beyond sweet. I had a great experience with Kailey, my colorist. She heard my plight and did an epic job at fixing my mess. I was in the chair for about three hours. A great experience here - I'm very happy with my hair color and I feel like I made a friend. FYI, this place seems to also be popular with young men as much of the clientele on the afternoon I was there were teenage boys and young men. They all seemed happy when the left. This place must be trending in locker room talk lol! read more

It was my first time at Alia, and the energy was electric as I walked in. The host greeted me professionally (even though they were obviously having a computer meltdown) and introduced me to Isabela, my stylist. My hair is thick, wavy, curly, and has colics'. I explained what I didn't want, and Isabella worked with me to determine what I needed. As Isabella styled my hair, she described her technique. Kudos, girl. It was nice to see the stylist stations uncluttered with supplies. The establishment was impeccably clean and organized. So, I called ahead and made a same-day appointment. I lost track of time, was 30 minutes late, and still received professional service. I will return on time for my next haircut and possibly a color: today's haircut, eyebrow wax, and tip cost about 100$. Great job, Alia. read more

Alia Rose Salon - Hair color, balayage - Hair Salons Near Me - Westmont, Illinois

My first time at this salon and it was the best. Jenna Rust did a balayage on me and I'm in love. She took such care in doing what I wanted and what was good for my hair. So sweet and knowledgeable. I can't rave enough and wish I wasn't at all because I don't want her to be too booked when I need her again. Jenna is amazing and deserves all the praise. The salon itself was beautiful and comfortable. I'll be back read more

Recently took my pre teen daughter here for a haircut. Very nice and high end place, reasonable charge for the haircut and styling. My only complaint was the stylist who was newer / appeared to be in training, gave my daughter and I her card and number to send a pic of how her hair turned out after it dried. Great, no issues there. I tipped her later at that number and my daughter sent her a pic of her hair once dried. The stylist never responded to my daughter or to say thanks for a tip, thus a little disappointing in that regard and to my daughter who would have at least appreciated a "thanks" or "looks good, thanks !" read more

Micaela is an amazing hair stylist! She was recommended to me on NextDoor. She is so kind, so generous, and will definitely give a very fair price for her work. She completely saved my horrendous tape in extensions. Her and all the employees were so pleasant to be around and it was very clean. read more

The stylists from Hair to Stay in Villa Park are now at this location. Even though this location is in what I would call Downtown Westmont, there is a parking lot next to the salon so parking should not be a problem. It is a beautiful, modern salon. There is a velvet couch to sit on while waiting for your appointment. I was very happy to see that both the stylists and clients wear masks. Wishing all those at Alia Rose Salon health, happiness and peace. read more

After my appointment was cancelled last minute by another salon I was in a pinch to find someplace to get a same day haircut. Alia Rose was amazing. Great service. Great cut. read more

I specifically said I wanted an appointment for a haircut and style but was booked for full head of highlights. My hair not thick,, but is colored and short to just passed my ears. The stylist said I was booked for full head of foils in a 2 hr time slot. Then she used someone else's lightener formula on me and she took 3 hrs to complete and no haircut and style. 3hrs and $200+ down the drain. I still walked out a red head (dyed) because she said the integrity of my hair was too fragile that's why she needed to consult with 2 other stylists as to what to do with my hair before she even started the service. IF my hair was so fragile why did she not ethically offer me a deep conditioning and cut and style? Because $210 is alot more than $60 that's why. Will not be going back. The hair color in the photo is the result of someone that knows what she's doing. read more

This was my first time here. I got a great haircut with Michaela. Friendly staff and nice ambiance.

I originally found this salon on Yelp, thank you to prior reviewers. HIDDEN GEM and heartwarming story of how the salon transitioned to Westmont. The salon has been here in Westmont since about July 2020, originally from Villa Park and family owned. Owner Lia opened her own salon after her parents salon for 53 yrs sold (parents got ill and they couldn't manage salon). The ladies in this salon have been working together for many many years. The ladies All wash, cut, clean up, sanitize (which I find refreshing). They will be moving to literally across the street in the next month as their final destination. These ladies are so sweet and social, it won't be a boring appointment. My experience here was pleasant. I feel Soo refreshed and alive. Haven't had a good haircut since before the first lockdown in March 2020. My god do I miss people washing my hair!! Kristen washed my hair while Jacqulyn cut and styled. I didn't know my hair could look so cute with beach waves (something I could learn during these covid-remote times) . Jacqulyn listened to my requests, gave me a beautiful cut and style with a lot of movement (layers layers!) If you have any questions about pricing, just call the salon or email Lia (which is the email address on the website); she responded to me immediately and had no worries the ladies working that day could take care of my needs. The salon is definitely a cute little spot in the "downtown" of Westmont, which is only up and coming in 2021. Located on Cass Ave just North of the Metra train stop. I definitely recommend this salon and I will for sure be back. read more

So happy I chose to go here today to get my hair done!!! Staff was amazing and Jacqulyn who did my hair was a dream. She patiently listened to me explain exactly what I wanted and she gave me exactly that! With her skills I now have a new beautiful color and highlights. From the time I walked into this shop until the time I left I felt so comfortable here. Alia Rose is inviting, fun, clean, and is following all Covid-19 protocols. This place was a gem to find! I have been going to Lia, the owner of this salon for over 25 years starting at Hair to Stay in Villa Park. The salon she has opened in Westmont is beautiful (look at their website) Lia is a color specialist but the salon is known for their color. They of course do great cuts too. It's a testament to Lia that many of the girls in the salon have been with her for years. Everyone is so friendly, I just can't say enough about how great this salon is . So, let's just get to it shall we? I NEED YOU to just be patient and hear me out, before this is gone. Yelp, what does it mean to you? I'll tell you what it means to me. I Yelp everything I can from businesses to food. It is definitely a factor in my decision making. We have ALL grown to love it and am shocked that some people do not use it in some manner. I personally used it for years before I decided to actually register an account, ugh, lol we all feel that. What turned the corner for me is I actually went to a place that had shakey reviews but I was in a jam. I had the best experience ever and service to boot. I thought someone has to have their back....I'm doing it! Yelp here I COME! I am NOT a huge review writing person, but I have some under my belt. Me, personally, I either go one star or five stars with nothing in-between. That's just me, that's how I use it. Is it wrong? Is it right? I believe it's a tool for us to use as we please. OKAY, so let's go. My sister, yes Yelp, this is about my sister. This most likely won't even make it to her business page, so I'll screen shot this and post it where need be. Sooo, my sister who has absolutely BUSTED her ass to continue and rebrand a business in matter of days.. Sleepless nights and literally throwing caution into the wind, risking everything she has, her family has, taking the pressure off the employees and telling them "Hey you guy's, we got this, just fucking follow me, believe in me, believe in yourselves, I believe in you all, we're gonna make a NEW HOME, it will be our new home, our customers new home and our families new home." "AS LONG AS WE'RE TOGETHER" that's the new motto. Does this sound inspiring? Fuck yes it does, cause it's true, it's real, it touches the heart. The crew has been through and have endured so much pain that people who think they know do NOT even know the half off it. So here they are, like a Phoenix, they have come out of the dark and are fucking glowing like never before. They had no idea if previous customers would follow them into a different town, but the stylists are SO damn good, years of experience young and older always coming together to discuss a style, color, cut etc. for the customer. The customer is always first and egos are set aside to get it done right. So what's my beef? Well Alia Rose Salon has three reviews on Yelp but has 31, that have been denied and shoved down to the bottom of the page. "Imma" spell it out for ya: THIRTY FUCKING ONE! Why you ask? Well Lia asked the same. She called and spoke with someone "a rep" lol embarrassing. Listen, I know we gotta do what we gotta do in life to earn a check. I am NOT demeaning that the person is doing what they are paid to do, but the response is enough pull your hair out. (Don't worry Alia Rose Salon can fix it) The response was "Well the software is in charge of what counts as viable review or not. There is nothing we can do about it. Some of your reviews are from people who are NOT yelpers or it's their first review or only have a couple reviews and that doesn't count. You are also not allowed to ask people for a review". I AM A ROBOT, I AM A ROBOT, Lol, I'll call BS. Oh wait, your software is SO good that it knows who asked who for a review? Simply amazing!! I am just asking, is it possible that a customer would ask "Where can I leave a review for the salon?" The funny thing is that the employees respond with "YELP" not Google. Hey YELP, ya dumb asses, that's how people start using Yelp! Customer say "Where can I leave a review?" OR they had such a great experience, like I did at one place, that it deserved a review. I never looked back after that and loved the hell out of Yelp. C'mon, do you know how many time I've said "Just Yelp it!" Could you imagine putting in the effort for a review to only have Yelp tell you you're bullshit. Do ya think the people are gonna keep using it? Nice way to grow a business, lol. Hey Yelp, it's cool for a business to give away stuff if they "check in on Yelp" it's cool if a business has a "LIKE US ON YELP" window decal on their door, but damn it all to hell if they leave a review! Please. (I am rolling my eyes here, you can too) Please, DO NOT EVEN THINK YOU KNOW THE CUSTOMERS, you have zero idea about them, zero! DO NOT think you know Lia, do NOT think you know the employees, what they stand for, how hard they have worked and what they have endured to get where they are at today. Shame on you. So I say fuck your software and fuck you too Yelp! "and you are right about one thing, this review is looking pretty epic!" read more

I haven't seen my darling Lia since January and was wary of going back. I spoke to her ahead of time and was reassured my comfort and safety were paramount. The new spot is lovely! There is more than adequate space for safe distancing. Lia asked repeatedly if I felt comfortable. I was so happy to be there! Oh, and the job she did? I was apprehensive about going into a salon and a new one at that but wanted to support the local businesses in Westmont. I'm leaving this review for my mother because shes not good with computers and honestly was to afraid to leave a review. Shes prob mentioned to me 10 times and every time we pass this place how horrible the experience was. My mother isn't rich, so to pay 400+ and not be happy with the cut or style at all is upsetting. it was the most expensive cut she's ever had and the worst cut she's ever had. she did say the facility was super nice and clean etc etc and if the quality was good, she wouldnt mind paying but the quality just wasn't there and on top of it they overcharged her. sad experience :( read more

Lia expertly fixed an unfortunate YELLOW balayage I had done somewhere else. She kindly squeezed me in quickly because this was all right before a big event I had, and I didn't want to go there with my hair looking awful. I really appreciated her squeezing me in last minute as I know that is hard to pull off and not a normal request. Her whole salon has a relaxed yet professional vibe that I really enjoyed too! It is feels both down-to-earth and fancy/special at the same time - a rarity these days when a lot of "nice" salons can feel snobby. The stylists chat with their customers and connect personally. I like that kind of rapport in a salon where I'll end up spending hours of my life at! read more

I just got my hair cut here for the first time by Kristin, and she did an AMAZING job!!! I have been searching high and low for the last few years trying to find a stylist that listened to what I was asking for and also knew how to cut a nice set of bangs. I have naturally straight, thick hair and I find that alot of stylists want to go in and thin it all out, I was so thankful and extremely happy that Kristin did not.
