Salon D'Amore is consistent with great customer service every single visit! The salon just recently opened up again to allow customers in with appointments. My appointment was for a pedicure. The normal parking lot had a police car blocking off the entrance so I just parked on the street. Street parking was plentiful and free! When I walked up outside I noticed they had a sign on the door that reminded guests to wait outside until their appointment time. I waited until a few minutes before my appointment and was greeted right when I walked in. Everyone working in the salon had masks on and of course it was also required for all guests. I've been here a few times and Rose is incredible with nails. She's personable and it's really the best pedicure I've received. My favorite part is the marine cooling masque she uses on my feet and them wraps them up in a hot towel. It's a literal spa for your feet. This product leaves my feet tingly even after I leave the salon! Rose cleaned her entire station with cleaning products after me before she took a new guest which was great to see especially during this time. She initially took on my complicated case when another beautician at a previous salon couldn't provide the specific look/services I was requesting. Allison is confident and competent, but always learning. Woke up on the day of my birthday to a message from a hair stylist at another salon saying she couldn't do my hair! I called Salon D'Amore because it was close and had good reviews so I decided to call and they do accept walk-ins which I was grateful for. Skeptic because I don't easily put my hair in people's hands. I was greeted very politely and the girls are very sweet and make you feel comfortable! I originally wanted color and cut but I was running out of time and said just give me a cut which I was in dire need of my split end were horrible, we took off about 4-5 inches. Amy Dobbs was my stylist that day. She is very nice and listens to what it is your looking for. I went through a bunch of Pinterest images of what I was looking for and she nailed it! Since it was my birthday she asked if she can be playful with my hair. I said sure she did a fauhawk braid with very playful waves. I have always wanted to rock that hairstyle but I'm bad at doing braids and I absolutely loved it! A little FYI I never purchase hair products from salons ever but Amy did provide me with a Surface Awaken shampoo and conditioner sample and I fell in love with it! Grossly overpriced....website says partial highlights start at $75, women's cut also $75.... An unnoticeable minimal partial highlight and trim was $245!!! Of course I tipped $50 -it's the right thing to do... Literally NO ONE noticed I got my hair done. I was even hesitant from the time the foils went in (pieces hanging out) and was reassured over and over "how great it looks" and even after being blown dry...I kept saying "I don't see any difference" and was told...well, let me know and we can add more... I have been getting my hair done by Terri Tabor, the owner, for about ten years now (before she opened up Salon D'Amore). I cannot say enough good things about her, or her hair styling abilities! She always gets it right. I am constantly getting compliments on my cut and color and all credit is due to Terri! It also costs about half as much as other salons I've been to in the city. I am getting my hair done here for my best friend's wedding in a couple of weeks (as is the bride, her mom and sisters) and we're having Terri do our hair and Shannon our makeup. I recently got my hair cut short (as in, I got ten inches of hair cut off), and I have a bit of a story about my experience at Salon D'Amore. I had wanted to get my hair cut for quite a while, but it was just a matter of figuring out who would cut my hair. I did go to Brittany before to get a trim and she did a very nice job, but she's shy and I wasn't sure if she enjoyed cutting my hair, which is why I hesitated going to her again at first. My mom had an appointment with Brittany and I went with her, hoping they accepted walk-in clients. Luckily, Terri (the owner) said she'd cut my hair. I showed Terri a couple pictures of how I wanted my hair to look. She cut my hair very quickly, didn't cross-check it, and also styled it dramatically differently than the pictures I showed her. However, I thought it looked nice and went home. Once I washed my hair the next day, I noticed that it was longer than I had wanted it to be, and it was also noticeably crooked (one side was about a half-inch to an inch longer than the other side). It was also too thick on the bottom and flipped out, which annoys me. So, I asked my mom to call the salon so we could make an appointment to get my hair fixed by Brittany because I didn't want Terri to mess it up again (I was too upset and angry to call them myself). Terri called my mom back and said she was "shocked" that I didn't like it, and said, "Well, she liked it when she left the salon." My mom told her it was crooked, to which Terri responded, "I'm a good hairdresser! If you want Brittany to fix it, fine, but I taught her all she knows." Wow. She didn't have to get defensive OR rude. She should have cross-checked her work and asked ME how I wanted my hair styled so we'd have noticed that it was crooked. Brittany called my mom to schedule an appointment, and was really nice about fixing my hair. She said these things happen, and it was no big deal. We went back, she fixed my hair, cut about another inch off the ends (about a half-inch from the side that was crooked), cross-checked her work, used the razor to thin the ends a bit, straightened it, and didn't charge for it. I love my hair now! Brittany does a very great job and she's very professional. It's disappointing that the owner of Salon D'Amore has such a defensive attitude about making mistakes. If it weren't for Brittany and her mellow attitude, I would probably consider going to another salon. read more

Well, I probably should have also played the lottery that day because that was the day that I met Brittany. I'm letting my short hair grow out and this is the first time it hasn't been agonizing. My haircut turned out perfect---exactly like the photo I showed her. Honestly, my first experience was pretty bad. The the color wasn't even close to the picture I showed the stylist and the cut wasn't much better. I communicated my disappointment and she made an appointment for me with another stylist. Even if the story stops right here, this is HUGE. This is what should happen when someone is unhappy with their hair. It wasn't that she was a bad stylist, it just didn't work out. She recognized that and took care to get me back in asap to get my hair sorted. And she didn't charge me! She told me that she wanted me to be happy with my hair before I paid. Now that's service! My second appt. was much better. This appt. was with Allison and she was able to do exactly what I was looking for. Allison is one of the only stylists I've met that really knows how to thin out thick hair. It's a skill that is hard to find in any salon, so the fact that Allison is a super star with thick hair AND color makes her a perfect match for my hair. Overall this place is great! From the ladies who run the front desk to the shampoo team to the stylists and nail techs. Whenever I call they work with my schedule to get me in as soon as possible. I love getting shampooed by the girl who studied massage techniques for the head! They stylists are great too! They each seem to specialize in something in addition to just being super awesome people. And even though scheduling is a little tough, this place has great pedicures. And don't forget, they also give free bang trims between cuts. read more
