Have been going to Elevate for years. Had a terrible experience at another salon and went back to Brooklyn at Elevate to fix it. Did not have much hope since the cut was super short and color super dark. I was ready to chop it all off to a Pixie or get extensions. Brooklyn stayed calm, she knew me and what would make me happy in the long run. At first I was upset she did not perform a miracle but today when I went to style it, it was super easy. Hair fell perfectly in place and was actually a chic cut that will grow into exactly what I wanted. Thank you Brooklyn. You have a customer for life. read more

I had my hair colored by Blake for the first time last week. I had an initial consultation appointment and we discussed what I would like to have done: Cool down the yellowish brassy blonde color by going a bit darker in a cooler/ashy shade AND darken the roots a bit to help camouflage grey outgrowth and extend the time between visits. When I arrived at my appointment, she did 3 treatments: the actual color and roots, two glazes, and a mask, and did not explain why there were so many products involved in the process. I was at the salon for 3 hours and one of those hours was sitting with my head in the rinsing bowl and the waiting area with product in my hair. I was definitely "over-processed." When I got home, my scalp was extremely irritated and bleeding. I had a reaction to either the products used and/or to the time the product was left in my hair and scalp. In regards to my color, my hair is now red/orange on top and yellow/orange on the bottom. And in less than a week, the color is starting to wash out leaving me with three odd colors front top to bottom. (the grey that's already showing in less than a week, the red/orange top, and yellow-orange bottom). I won't be visiting this salon again. read more

Recently got my haircut at Elevate with Nina, and it was exactly what I wanted! I showed her a few inspo pics for long layers with curtain bangs, and she knew exactly how to deliver. I keep getting compliments and questions on where I got my hair done. Very professional spot, and I felt comfortable at how she paced the cut and checked in with me (I'm a bit protective of my hair length). Also, the space is super cute and trendy - they offer you beverages, and if you have hair product questions, everyone is helpful. Parking is also easy which is a plus. I have been getting my hair cut by Julie and both times she did a wonderful job. She wasn't available when I needed to get my roots done so I made an appointment with Jenna. I was shocked when I saw the results. I am a very light blonde and next to the blonde hair my roots looked dark brown and now that my hair is growing out it looks worse. The salon did return my money, however I was told I wasn't welcome back. I had another appointment with Julie for a haircut yesterday and I hadn't realized that I was booked this week until they sent me a message and unfortunately I was out of town. I called immediately to cancel and it went into voicemail where I left a message. This was the day before my appointment. Turns out they said they never got my message.That was not the first time I've left a message on voicemail with them and they said they never got it. I would never recommend this salon to anyone.. Candido is phenomenal at my hair! I have thick long hair and he creates layers that are manageable curled or straight while taking some of the weight out of it. The worst hair cut I have ever gotten. Jena was the stylist who seemed to understand what I wanted and cut my haircut and so extremely short and uneven there is NOTHING TO make this haircut work. The the sides are scalped by my ears. The fringe supposedly around my ears are uneven She used thinning shears the majority of the haircut. Which made my haircut horrible And the sides are uneven and not properly cut. She has ruined my hair and it will take months for my hair to grow out uneven. Don't waste your money to be scalped and what they call a haircut at this salon. read more
