AVOID AVOID - went in for basic oil change which quickly became a laundry list of add ons. Rust protection, unnecessary filter changes. Then when they were out of stock of the filter my car takes, they still tried to make me pay for one and told me I could come back later in the week. Additional filter was wrong size and was going to be $99. What should have been a simple $60 oil change was going to be nearly $300. Lied about the type of oil my car required and insisted every filter was to be changed. Told them to leave the filters alone and just finish the oil change so I could leave. Service techs seemed lost under the hood and took a long time to do the simplest task. Would not recommend!!!! read more

Ended up with a bill of $220 for additional services I specifically told the team that I was going to have my mechanic perform the rest. The team then lie to your face stating you agreed to everything when they asked you. Charged me $70.00 for the lowest quality cabin air filter I have ever seen and an extra $10 for the oil filter. Their oil only lasts 5,000 km. Overall, I paid 50% more than the dealership, whose oil lasts 8,000 km, the parts are better quality, and they don't require an appointment either. They act aggressively so you don't have the opportunity to decline services. As soon as they give you the newspaper you feel obliged to stay. Never again. read more

The service here is impeccable. I am a woman and have always found taking my car into the shop to be a daunting chore and I'm constantly left feeling that I've been taken advantage of. The staff at Mr. Lube are friendly and knowledgeable. Upon arrival you are given a free newspaper- bonus! They use a handheld electronic owner's manual allowing them the ability to assess your car to it's specific make and model. Once their inspection is completed they go over the assessment with you line by line and offer suggestions of the parts, services, etc. that your car requires. I have been taking my cars here for almost 20yrs and I have NEVER felt, not even once, like I'm being taken advantage of or that they are trying to shove a bunch of expensive, unnecessary services etc. down my throat. I have always been told what's wrong with my car, what needs to be done ASAP and what can wait. I cannot say enough nice things about this place! If you're lucky enough to get Romeo when you bring your car in, I can assure you that you're in good hands and that he will go above and beyond to help keep your car on the road and you safe inside of it! read more

I'm an Oil Changer's customer. Just gave Mr. Lube a try to see how they perform and they failed bad! They charged me 20 dollars for an engine flush oil that is priced at $5.49 at Canadian Tire! They also tried to sell a cabin air filter for $90, thank god I didn't agree with their rip-off suggestion. I'm also charged $40 for an air filter, just compared it with Oil Changers and did the same for $30! On top of all these, they were super slow, their windows washing makes it worse and they didn't lubricate door hinges but put "Completed" for that item in my invoice! I wish I could give them negative number of stars! Just stay away from them! read more

Went on Sunday morning for a tire change at 9.30 am they told me to leave the car and it will be done by 4 pm. Showed up at 4 and guess what it was not none. I actually had to watch them so they would actually do it, totally unacceptable....never again! read more

This place is one of the worst car services I have ever been too. I went in for a oil change, and got bombarded with a million other questions about other services I should get. When I decline politely, the manage or boss (name Yasir from what I understood) started marking snarky remarks to his employees about how they are not selling enough. After I made eye contact, he then proceeded to speak another language (Punjabi) to his colleagues. What kind of store is this? I should be able to go to a car shop and pay what is necessary and not be bombarded with a million suggestions about how my car might break down just because you need your sales up. Great service. Nice group of guys. Didn't push me too hard on other services but made a note of them for me so I could think about it (ask my normal mechanic - which I didn't keep a secret). Topped up some fluids free of charge. Only negative was that I think they charged me for the newspaper they gave me that I didn't read. read more

I went to check on a tire I bought 18 months ago. I was advised I needed 2 new tires immediately because side wall was damaged. I went to another garage and they said I had a small nail and repaired the tire. I was advised my tires were fine. So I could have spent $650 dollars for nothing! Took a tire in to get it patched because there was a nail in it. the guy told me immediately that I had to replace the tire because the tread was too low - I said ok well I have a measuring tool to measure the depth of the tread. The upselling is expected but the guy standing beside a X5 BMW and he quotes and oil change for another car and then charges more as BMW use more oil. Resetting the service warning system on the car was unbelievable as no one knew how to do it and different guys with greasy hands get showing up with their phone and Google. I got taken below the car and some mechanic bombarded me with jargon about rust, so I opted in for "rust protection"... by the time the attendants had replaced the air filter, flushed the engine and added a friction shield (without my knowledge), the bill for an oil change was $374. Have been here a number of times but will not be returning to this location. I don't mind waiting, but when cars in the other lanes that arrived after me are finishing and leave before I even get into the bay, I get annoyed because clearly no one inside is paying attention. On top of it all, they overcharged me (my fault to not pay attention) telling me it was because of the larger tire size. When I get home and check my past receipts I see that they've always charged me for Seasonal Tire Change but this time I got charged for a Tire Rotation Specialty instead. read more

This is my second time being there. Overall, friendly workers that provide a good service. They get the job done quickly, offer a newspaper, coffee/tea while you wait. I do feel that the workers are bit pressured to do some extra services, perhaps to sell a bit more. I came in for just an oil change both times and ended up adding another service to it. I could have really needed the services, but point being, it was more than what I came for. If you want something specific done and nothing else, be firm and clear you only want that service. My spouse and I are mortified after our last experience. I don't advise going unless you are firm you want nothing else done other than a winter/summer tire swap or oil change. You will always be told you need more, and between the repeat lapses in truth telling, variable pricing (I got dinged for a higher price for tire swap than the next bay over), and the alternating sickly polite/ aggressive brusk service - I think I am done. Wanna pay $268 dollars for an Oil change with all the extras? Cabin filters for $100 ?!?! STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this place unless you enjoy being taken advantage of. The guys will tell you that you need all kinds of services done to your car. Most of the time you will need none. What you could get done for $40-$60 they will charge you $100 for. I would say that you should still go, but just ask for the base packages, but frankly I can't support a business that routinely tries to upsell you with unecessary services. Came back here for an oil change to give this place another shot after a mediocre last visit. The only good thing about this place is that you don't need an appointment. All I wanted was an oil change for my visit, but the tech working on my vehicle ended up calling me to the lower level to show me a "big concern" he had - rust on the underside of my car - which I might add, has over 450,000 km on it, so of course, it will have rust! He mentioned how important it was for me to rust proof the whole thing and when I politely declined due to the fact that my vehicle was old and and it's upper end of it's life span, he did not seem pleased. He then tried to sell me again on replacing all my filters. Not long after leaving this location, my check engine light and VSC light turned on. Took my vehicle in immediately to another garage, who told me that whoever was working on my car last had probably "accidentally" knocked one of the hoses loose...interesting, right?
