I hired Uchanics to inspect used cars I was thinking of buying and they have served me extremely well. The first two cars were not worth my time or money and the third one turned out to be a gem and I am buying it. For all the inspections the mechanic showed up on time, supplied a written report and opinion on the vehicle a few hours later and given that the opinion on the first two cars was very poor, saved me from two very bad cars that would have been money pits. I could not possibly be more pleased with the service if I tried. Communication with the staff on the phone was excellent. Messages I left received call backs every time. Utilized Uchanics for pre purchase inspection of used 2011 Kia Soul 4U Lux. Leslie, Service advisor scheduled mechanic - Raymon to the dealership to perform the inspection. $50.00 deposit was required to proceed, then once inspection was complete and report was waiting, the remainder of the invoice was due and paid. The report was emailed and I was able to discuss the finding with an advisor as to the condition of vehicle and what needed immediate attention and $$$ to fix! The report was very detailed and cost of repairs helpful in determining whether to proceed with purchase + advice on how to negotiate! Amazing service! Uchanics Saved my day. I had visited my parents on Friday and as I was getting ready to leave that night, just my luck my car stop working and wouldn't start. I had something important to do on Saturday and all the mechanic shops were closed at this point. My initial idea was to call a tow truck and have it towed to a mechanic shop the next day but while searching online I found a company called uchanics. They said they can just come to me to fix my car. So I gave it a try even though I never heard about this service before and they came the next morning. My Ford Edge was due for brake replacement as the original brakes had about 120,000 kms and were wearing very thin. The Ford dealership quote was almost $500 more than Uchanics and I had questions for Jemal @ Uchanics as to quality of parts, etc. Bottom line is, they installed top quality parts within 3 hours at my workplace parking lot. I inspected the work a few times and I was impressed with the attention to detail that the mechanic was performing while upgrading my brakes. Disappointing experience with uchanic. They came to fix my car, but the repair was subpar. Not only did they cut my emergency brake cable, but they also installed new brake pads without properly bleeding the brake system. Now, my car is making all sorts of noises. The lack of attention to detail and poor workmanship has left me feeling frustrated and worried about my safety on the road. Definitely would not recommend. read more
