The only reason I got a response was because I reached out to him. I tried communicating multiple times and was left unread. So I called again, and the woman took down my information again and said that the tech would get in touch with me. Shocker, no one ever did. I reached out to the original guy in hopes he was the one, as I really need to get this remote. He said, "I'll do it." Perfect, great. Day comes, and I messaged him in the morning to verify before I left work early again. He sent me someone else's name and number of the tech that would be doing it. So I reached out to the new guy and verified he could be there for 3 p.m. He said he could, and he actually showed up early, which I felt bad because I wasn't home right when he got there, but even he said I should have gotten a discount for making me wait so long to have this service done, but they weren't having that. I get life comes up, but lack of professionalism and courtesy is unacceptable. Being left unread and ignored for days when I was asking to have a service they provide done is just wrong. Luis was prompt and super fast, but the rest of the experience with this company was unprofessional and lacking basic human courtesy. To update my review, they had Luis messaging me to remove my review because he was worried they would fire him for a bad review, even though I specifically mentioned him being the only good part of this experience. I told him that I was going to leave my review as it wasn't against him; it was against the company for their poor handling of my situation and their lack of professionalism. I said if they would like to call me to talk to me about it, that would be completely fine. Well, they did, and the man I originally spoke with kept telling me I should remove my review because, "things happen" and I should understand. When I told him that Luis was the only good part of the interaction and that my review would remain up, he became aggressive and said, "I hope you get what is coming to you." I have never in my life had a company be so unprofessional and not only not try to fix the issue but bully me into removing my review, then take it out on the employee who actually did their job correctly. Luis had messaged me to tell me that they laid him off from the company due to bad performance. 1- That is absolutely ridiculous as he was the ONLY good part of this entire situation. 2- It is absolutely absurd to have an employee messaging a customer to have reviews taken down or changed. Have a better business practice, and you won't receive bad reviews. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves to retaliate against a good employee for their poor business practices and unprofessionalism.

We recently bought a house and wanted to get the locks changed. After reading what everyone else had to say about Mr. Locksmith, I completely agree; I can't recommend Eli highly enough! I have to admit that even after reading all the other reviews, I was pretty skeptical that I'd get a quick call-back. But within 15 minutes of leaving a message, Eli called me back! He listened to what I had to say, thoroughly and thoughtfully answered all of my questions, gave me a guesstimate as to what I would probably need, and scheduled an appointment for a time that was most convenient *for me*. When he arrived -- right on time! -- he took a look at the locks I had and gave me a few options, and once we agreed on what he was going to do, he gave me a written estimate and got right to work. When he was done (more quickly than he'd anticipated) he showed me his work, explained how each lock was different than it had been and told me exactly how to use each of them. His pricing was reasonable, and he accepted my credit card even though he prefers check (oops, I forgot to ask about that). What most impressed me about Eli -- aside from his cheerful attitude, promptness and obvious expertise -- was that he suggested (significantly!) lower priced alternatives to the locks I'd originally thought I wanted. He could have simply given me the more expensive locks (at about three times the price), but instead he explained why the they weren't as great as I thought they were, and why the locks he was suggesting were a better option for me. I really appreciate that! read more

We were recommended Eli by a fellow small property owner a few years back and since have used Mr. Locksmith to re-key our own new home, install a keyless code lock, and in addition he has replaced or re-keyed our locks at our rental property at least four times now, including a quick response to an emergency call when a lock broke on a tenant and she couldn't get into the apartment. I recommend Eli fully and without hesitation! Eli is for starters one of the most pleasant human beings on the planet- friendly, polite, and full of honest information. As a locksmith he is competent, completely trustworthy, and always goes above and beyond to not only install the lock, but make sure everything is aligned correctly and the moving parts all running smoothly. He even put WD-40 on my door hinges when he noticed they were creaking on his last visit. Eli exemplifies so much of what is missing in today's culture- he sees what needs to be done, gives you the info you need to make an informed and fair decision, and goes above and beyond what he "has to" do. Wish all contractors operated with the honesty, communicativeness, punctuality and quality of Eli! Recommend 200%. read more

If you are in Greater Boston and need a locksmith, call Eli. He is skilled beyond measure, prompt/courteous, an effective communicator, and insisted on sticking to the quote he originally gave me for a job that ended up being far more difficult than anticipated due to rust/corrosion and mismatched pre-existing parts on a wrought iron gate in the South End. It was truly impressive to watch Eli work, seeing the wheels turn in his head to solve a very complicated and tricky problem. I would be comfortable letting Eli work in my home even if I were not there based on our two or so hours spent chatting while he worked. When it comes to locks and the safety of your family, there are no hands I'd trust more than Eli's. I'm genuinely surprised I can be this impressed by a locksmith, which I naively thought to be a fairly straightforward and binary profession; the skills to pick an old and rusted faceplate to expose the lock mechanism underneath, deftly drill out brittle screws, and mismatching spacers and trim to replace a lock that is now discontinued were simply awesome. If you're in need of a locksmith, stop your search and call Eli now. read more

Eli was beyond knowledgeable, trustworthy, and so very kind. I called him with somewhat of an emergent issue and he offered to call his next customer to see if they wouldn't mind a later appointment that day. He called me back within about 5-10 minutes and fortunately he was able to come out right away! Eli explained everything that he was going to do, and gave me a very reasonable price. All the other companies asked for much more. He was a genuine, and very likable guy! The service I requested was a large order and I didn't think he would be able to come out the same day to do it, but he DID! I needed a bunch of things done, and not only id he get out to me even earlier than he thought, he also helped me with drilling some things I needed drilled and waived the fee for the drilling! The other day a guy tried to break in to my apartment. By chance I was working from home that day and was able to dissuade would be criminal from entering. The very next morning I called Eli and told him what happened. He managed to fit me into his busy schedule. He was very up front on the phone about what what it would cost me and the prices were good compared to other smiths in the area. He arrived and performed a quick eval of what would be needed and drew up his official quote. He re-keyed a lock of mine and replaced another. He was very friendly and was more than willing to discuss his work (as he was performing it), locks and security in general. My new locks work great and I feel much more secure now that Eli has come and performed this service. I really appreciate him fitting me into his schedule in such short notice and how he candidly discussed and of my security concerns. Highly recommended! read more

I first came across Eli on Yelp after I went through a bad experience with another company who totally gipped me when I got locked out of my condo in my pajamas. Looking for a reliable and honest locksmith, I turned to Yelp for reviews. I've legitimately NEVER left a Yelp review until today (only used it in the past for references and what not) but HAVE to leave one for Eli. Just an all around honest and great guy. I'd called two other locksmiths with no return call (now going on about 36 hours). Eli got back to me within minutes at 5PM on a Friday (When most people would sooner jump off a bridge than return a call or text) and I had an appointment the very next morning. All you need to know is that not ONE single person here has given him less than 5 stars and that's saying something in a consumer climate where people will complain if their ice cubes are too cold. I didn't actually use Mr. Locksmith, and that's why i'm posting a review. I was having a lot of difficulty getting my key into my lock, and my knee jerk reaction was to call a locksmith immediately. The guy I spoke to on the phone told me that I probably didn't need him, and that I should just spray WD40 in the lock. If that didn't work, the lock was broken and he'd come out. In hindsight I should have thought about trying WD40 first, but I didn't, and easily could have been sold a new lock by an unscrupulous locksmith. Kudos to this guy for his honesty. If I ever really do need a locksmith, i'll definately call him. read more

Two times the best! I cannot recommend this company enough - I was fortunate to have Eli first fix my locks and then get me back into my apartment after I locked myself out a month later. Eli was prompt to reply to my request to have the locks changed in our new home. He explained the difference between having to replace the lock and just rekeying it. He requested photos of each lock and informed us that if we had all the keys for the locks he would be able to rekey them-we did, so this saved us a lot of money! He diagnosed the issue (I needed to replace the knob while keeping the lock intact for our key), showed me a better quality knob he had in his vehicle, priced it out for me to okay, and had the work done in 45 minutes.
