Mr Kim's BBQ was honestly pretty disappointing overall. The service was slow and not very attentive, even when the restaurant wasn't busy. On top of that, the waiter didn't seem familiar with some of the Korean names of the dishes, which made ordering feel confusing and less smooth than it should be. The food itself was just okay the meats lacked flavor and quality, especially for the price. Its just really sweet. Some of the appetizers also felt like they came straight from frozen and just reheated, which made things feel less fresh and a bit low effort. Overall, the sides were forgettable and nothing really stood out. For Korean BBQ, you expect a fun, flavorful, and well-informed experience, but this just didn't deliver. Horrible first experience at Mr. Kim's BBQ. No greeting when we walked in, and the service only got worse from there. Our food came before our drinks, drinks took 10+ minutes, and my husband's beer took 15 minutes. We were a table of five with three kids and were basically ignored the entire time. Meanwhile, our server was consistently checking on surrounding tables, refilling drinks, and offering more food just not ours. I even set a timer and showed the manager, Wendy if that's her real name how long we went without being checked on. To make it more confusing the manager said our server's name was Martha, but the receipt listed Elizabeth. As for the food I was not impressed. The brisket was good, but the other steak options weren't anything extraordinary. I would highly recommend skipping this place and going to Kogi KBBQ instead. read more

It's a nice little quiet place that Remained steady busy throughout the 1.5 hours we were there. Server Myra was a riot. She's was funny and did a great job. The conveyor belt was a cool unique concept when receiving your raw meats to cook. The food was really good and the menu was quite simple without have too many options. One thing I wasn't too fond of was the kimchi soup as it was overpowered by too much red chili where one spoonful, made me choke as the chili hit my throat and the broth was bland and super red. Back today for lunch. We opted for the $29.99 lunch per person. Love the most is the fact they have rice paper. It's not available at most places in Henderson and LV. Everything came out in a timely manner. Meats are good. Shrimp are not deshell but then I enjoyed that crunch. We enjoyed another lunch here. Still very consistent with the food and service. Wow, they've really gone down hill since last year when I was here. Very few items on the menu for the grill. The beef bulgogi used to be thick beef, now it's the same thin crap as the brisket. But the tacos have the right, thick bulgogi! Why? Teriyaki chicken lacked flavor. No more shrimp (at least not at $30.99 lunch.) Price went wayyyy up. Quality went wayyy down. Drinking is not drinkable as the cups or the water pitcher was not properly clean and sanitizers. I could smelled some oil greasy in the water. A bowl of rice was so wet and mushy. Japchae, mushroom mixture was burned and bitter. Service was not great as I asked for a spoon then a server questioned me if it's not in there and I said no, those was only a fork as we were 3 people at our table. She then asking me again twice. I said it politely twice as I needed a spoon for a kimchi soup. It used to be good at the first started. But it doesn't seem like Korean BBQ anymore, as the servers and all worker here may not be able to understand true Korean culture, cuisine and foods. Never recommend or coming back. For the sides, I feel bad constantly asking for more "cucumbers" I asked like 6 times for more. I feel like that's extra work on the employee because the sides are so small. What an amazing experience we had! A lovely Korean BBQ restaurant that is well priced. They use conveyor belt system to quickly send meat directly to your table which is very convenient for everybody ( customers and staff) . The staff were friendly and welcoming. They are very professional and knowledgeable about the menu options. Our server was very nice and attentive. She provided us with a great service. This is definitely the best location of all of the three , the new owner is very dedicated and passionate about his restaurant, he is there every day making sure that every customer is happy and satisfied. The restaurant is very clean and inviting, authentic Korean style. It's a great and unique dining concept. Food came fast, the waiter takes your order on the iPad and it comes on a conveyor belt, that stops at your table with a little flag pointing to your table . They have great selection of meats and sides and we have tried most of them. The signature Bulgogi beef is so good. You cannot stop eating it. We also love Brisket, but everything is so delicious , whatever you try. The meats are full of flavors , savory and delicious. We love Mr. Kim's! The all you can eat menu has a great selection of choice meats and a plethora of sides and savory seasonings. The staff is quite busy usually, so they are hopping around. They certainly strive for team work and will stop by your table to make sure you have everything you need. They are quite attentive and pay attention to filling beverages, replacing grill tops, and clearing empty dishes from tables. A few quick tips, make a reservation a head of time, you can request a half and half table if you like, the meats come out on a raised conveyer belt server, you can always request more sides and kimchi. The steamed egg and pork belly are yum! Bathrooms are an individual room usually clean and stocked. Parking is right out front. First time here. This place is way better quality meats than our Gen's Korean BBQ on Oahu. Love that they have thick short ribs and not shavings of ribs. Meats come in good portions and so as the veggies. Loves their kimchee fried rice with egg and their corn with cheese. We had a fun family lunch here at Mr. Kim's. We had a party of 10 and were able to make reservations, although it wasn't too busy when we went. The guy that took our reservation and seated us was super friendly and genuinely kind and it set the tone for the whole meal. They have two tiers for lunch, Choice A and Choice B. We went with the higher priced one (Choice B) so we could order whatever beef/pork/chicken/seafood we wanted. We were divided into two tables next to each other so we still felt like we were all eating together. We ordered all the Daily Side Dishes to start, along with several Sides. Their Sides are really good. Some of our favorites were- Japchae, Gyoza, Crunch Roll, and Chicken Wings. Each person can also order one soup. The Soybean Paste Soup was tasty, had a lot of flavor. Our server was attentive, continually checking on us. I enjoyed the Iced Green Tea that I had. The proteins are "delivered" to your table on a conveyor belt which is cool. We mainly ordered beef and pork with our favorites being the Beef Bulgogi and the Brisket. Everything we tried was excellent. Came during the lunch special, and we chose menu a. It was a good option for us bc I usually mainly eat brisket lol. There were so many side options that a person could choose from. I enjoyed the usual banchan. The soup was one per person, so I got the tofu soup. It was so good, and not too spicy. There were lots of tofu pieces and some beef pieces. YUM! The meats can out in good amounts for 3 of us. Everything was really good & the pieces we got was cut fairly. Just the right amount of fat & meat. As you walk in, it is clean. Floors and tables aren't sticky like other yakiniku places. It's not muggy or hot either. It's comfortable inside. The service was good too. Our server came around every so other too which was nice. Whether it's waiting too long to be seated or catching the server at a bad time when trying to place an order, there always seems to be something off with their customer service. the last time there seemed to be only ONE person frantically running around trying to service an entire restaurant. Despite this drawback, I find myself coming back again and again simply because of how tasty the dishes are. Had son visiting from out of town. Wasn't sure if we wanted to go to China Town for Korean BBQ but a longtime local recommended this place. Went on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. All I can say is that this place was so good. Everything's was so fresh. After we ordered, the sides came out quickly and we were able to cook our meats right away. As we finished cooking, the plates that the meats came in were quickly removed from the table. Son commented that this is so much better than Gen BBQ. A definite place to go again. read more
