Food is OK. The Greek dressing is good, but the quality of the salad wasn't anything special. Didn't seem like a very authentic Greek salad. The chicken sandwich had decent flavor. Service was quick and prices were decent for what you get. More of a takeout vs sit down vibe. read more

Been here several times over the years when I'm in town. This is the first time I felt disappointed - tzatziki didn't have much flavor and there was minimal onion and tomato. The meat was good though, and plentiful in the pita. The French fries are nothing special and pretty much just filler. Small strip mall space, most suitable for carry-out. Service was a little abrupt, but not a deal breaker. read more

Fire. Lady working alone threw down. Food was good enough that I'm adding this extra text to meet Yelp's minimum text requirement.

My Gyro was skimpy and hardly any fries. My buddy ordered the same thing and his gyros had 3 times more meat and he got 4 times the fries. He loved it. I liked the taste of the food, but didn't like getting skimpy food. She must not of liked me for some reason? Not real sure. 2 more People came in after us and they had the big meaty gyros like my friends. Felt kind of singled out. Almost ordered more food (was still hungry) then realized why should I have to? probably go skimpy on me again. So I didn't. My friend he left stuffed. Must be nice. I won't be back. Good going Lady. Not real friendly either. read more

Very good gyros, every time I come into Coldwater I gotta get one. Gyro Sandwich, that's good. read more

Mr Gyros - a burrito on a piece of tin foil - Hot Dogs Near Me - Coldwater, Michigan

We found this little place on our way to Grand Rapids, MI. Everything on the road was just your normal fast food and we were looking for something different but just good and semi-quick. We found some solid gyros. It's definitely off the beaten path, maybe in a questionable area for some but worth the trek for great gyros and Greek fries. There was just one lady cooking, it's like Mom is cooking for you while she plays her music in the kitchen! No muss, no fuss. If you're looking for good food, no extra frills where everything else is fast food and this is a little out of the way, this is it. I forgot a picture but this made my hubby and me happy! Also portions were very nice! We both left very full and satisfied read more

I might not stop here too often but each time I do it is a pleasant experience. The shop always looks clean, the lady is always pleasant and quick, and the food is consistently mouth watering and delicious. For the size of the gyro, and how much she packs in it, it is well worth the price. read more

Mr Gyros - Regular GYROS combo meal with medium sized drinks - Hot Dogs Near Me - Coldwater, Michigan

Very fast service. We are avoiding chain restaurants so this was one of our only options and we don't have any regrets. Food was hot and cheap. The gyro meat had a lot of flavor and the tzatziki sauce was delicious and plentiful. A bit of a hole in the wall but give it a try if you're in the area. read more

Chicago style hot dog. Itt wasn't a vinnia dog, no poppyseed bun and the relish wasn't neon green. It was beef, the bun was toasted and the tomato tasted like a tomato. Next time a gyro. read more

Mr Gyros - Almost Chicago - Hot Dogs Near Me - Coldwater, Michigan

The place to go for Chicago Style hot dogs in Coldwater. The wife and I come here often. This is a new site for this store. The gyro sandwiches in pita are really excellent especially with the cucumber sauce. My cardiologist warns against them. So I limit them to no more than 2 per year. This place is small and can be crowded at the noon hr. but many do take out. The staff is friendly and attentive. read more

Tacos on Fri-Sat-Sun are awesome. Gyros are good too! The place is a small local place. An old speaker shares 80's music across the airwaves. The fresh smell of herbs and meat permeate through the air. A gentle breeze floats in from the open door. Your open face gyro stares at you. It begs to be devoured. Decorated with thin sliced onions and tomatoes upon a heaping mound a gyro meat. Delightfulness melts across your tongue after taking your first bite. Mmmm heaven in a little local shop. read more

Stopped here on our way through and saw this place on Yelp. It wasn't too far out of the way and something different than standard fast food. I had a chicken gyro and hubby had a regular gyro. It wasn't the best gyro I've ever had, but it wasn't bad. The portions were very generous. We also had an order of mushrooms that were ok. It looked pretty clean and well kept. Overall decent place to get a gyro and it beats standard fast food fare. read more

I should have turned around after noticing that the glass door and windows looked like they had not been cleaned in months, but I was hungry and went on in. Ordered the gyro combo and asked for the fries lightly done and no onion on the gyro. The portion of meat was good and the bread was done perfectly, but there was very little tomato, the cucumber sauce had very little flavor and there was not enough of it, and finally the meat was too greasy. The fries were overdone - even after asking for the opposite. Also they have a sign that says drink refills are 50¢ which is ridiculous. They were not very friendly and the young lady that took my order seemed to be preoccupied with the baby that was sitting toward the back of the kitchen area. Overall the food was just OK but my biggest issue is that the place is not very clean. When I was finished I went to the bathroom and it was not very clean either. There was food on the floor, the walls are all scuffed up and dirty and the place is not very appealing - which makes me wonder how much detail the owners pay to keeping the kitchen clean and the food fresh. Not recommended. read more

I really enjoy eating here. I've never tried the hotdogs, but the gyros are amazing! Generous portions of onions and tomatoes, about a pound of meat, and VERY liberal splattering of cucumber sauce. a word of caution; if you plan on eating this thing on the road, don't. It's too big and delicious, sit and enjoy it. read more

This was the restaurant where I chose to end my gyro virginity. I'd always wanted to try a gyro, and when I kept hearing good things about this restaurant, I decided to take the plunge. Call me biased, but few gyro restaurants ever since have been able to compare to my "first time" place. The kids and I ate there as often as we could. I've since moved far away from Coldwater, but I wish I could have taken Mr. Gyros with me. I do appreciate what I learned from the experience: how a good gyro should taste, how nice it is to receive a generous portion of everything; and, in connection to the gyro meat itself, to always look for the blue and white female Greek soldier logo I remember seeing there. Arby's aint got nothin' on that. read more

Great gyros and Greek salads, such a nice change from all the chains. A nice little hideaway!

Great gyros and best chili cheese dogs around! Always fresh and delicious. Must try this gem if visiting coldwater. I live in town and visit at least once a week. The owner is always friendly and the food is consistently fantastic read more

The Gyros are good. Price a bit high. The owner is generally not very pleasant to deal with. It may be partly due to that she doesn't speak English very well. A more pleasant personality might help their business read more

Good gyros, I like they pack on the meat. I've never had a bad gyro there. The 2 Chicago dog special is a nice deal too. They make a good Greek salad if you don't want fries. It's a nice change from the typical chains in town and the staff is pleasant. They even have free WiFi! read more

I just got a regular gyro with all the toppings (cuke sauce, onions, etc). It was really good. BUT, it was really greasy. It had a TON of meat, which is normally a plus, but it this case, and for the price of about $7, I would have been happier if they had taken the meat and split it between two gyros. I think next time I'll ask them to make me two gyros and just split the meat from one between the two. The pita is already flat-top fried in oil, and so are the onions, so with that much meat in one it was almost too much, and that's not something I normally say lol. read more

This is my favoret place intown to get stake tacos. They sell them on Fridays, Saturdays & Sunday's. Cheapest tacos too. I would recommend everyone to drop in on the weekends for some tacos (: read more

Avoid this place at all cost unless you like frozen, processed food. The chicken Gyro was a chopped up frozen patty, not fresh grilled chicken and the cucumber sauce was flavorless. My wife asked for chicken on her Greek salad and was served chicken nuggets (which I took back and it was pointed out that I should've ordered the chicken gyro salad) The bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke and since we were the only ones in the restaurant I can only guess the cook was the guilty party. Honesty would have better at BWW. read more

This has THE best regular Gyro I've ever had and beats out the location at College Park, MD. My new favorite place is a gem here in Coldwater, MI. Can't wait to come back for another one. This place has the best gyros I have ever had. For only one lady working this place is phenomenal!

My experience at Mr. Gyros was not only pleasant but flavorful and delightful. My order was a Mr. Gyros regular, shaved lamb, onions, tomatoes and cucumber sauce in pita bread. It is an authentic Greek restaurant, the worker was kind and courteous, the food wad delicious and filling. I would recommend this to anyone.
