It's a neat place to dine. It wasn't packed when I got there and they also have neat patio tables outside which is where I enjoyed my meal. Anna, was the hostess at my time of dining and she was very sweet and welcoming. So for COVID-19 safety I believe you will be good to go dine there as long as you continue to take safe measures and are aware of others as well. Nice 'lil casual spot for a lunch or quick dinner. My husband & I went here for the first time because he loves Chicago Hot Dogs. I tried Mediterranean Lemon Chicken Rice Soup, & we split a cheeseburger & fries. Happy to report my hubby liked the quality of the hot dog but was disappointed the bun was not steamed ( true Chicago Style). My soup was good. I would order it again for sure. The burger was nothing special. The patty was fairly thin & the bun was stale. Happy to report the fries were outstanding! Mr. Goody's is definitely worth a try! Not anything I would get again. I also asked for no fries and they added the fries to one of the dinners, even though the person at the register told them twice no fries. Mr. Gyro's is better. Giant menu, but all I can say is... stick with the Greek-ish stuff and you'll be fine. Burger was underwhelming, Italian beef was blah, panini the same. BUT. But. The spanakopita (though greasier than it should have been) was savory tangy delicious and super stuffed with spinach (thank you for that!!). And the beef gyros were as great as I'd heard. SO GOOD. Make sure you ask for extra pita, though; it's way too much meat and tzaziki and onions for just one sandwich. Service is what it is, it's a counter order place, fine by me. Prices are crazy good for all the food you get. Debated between 3 and 4 here. I wish they actually offered a smaller, more focused menu. Mr. Goodys is a small euro-American restaurant that I believe deserves praise. The inside is a little divey looking but their menu is extensive, the service is A1, and the very delicious. They got us our food super quick. Entered about 7:05 and got our food and we're already down the road by 7:20. My husband got a double bacon burger, $5.35 while I got a Chicago dog, $2.70 and mozzarella sticks, $4.05. My husband was very excited to see grape Sunkist somewhere other than a gas station so he got that while I got orange Sunkist, $1.90 each for bottled soda. Some items felt overpriced while others were perfectly priced. I will definitely be back to try the deserts and a gyro. Thanks for the delicious dinner the night before Mothers Day. My favorite spot! We eat here almost once a week, mostly pick up but every now and then will sit and eat. We have never had a single bad meal or a single issue or mistake with our. The gyros are the best around, I guarantee you. The service is always super speedy. Right around the corner from my home, we've eaten here plenty of times. My go-to's: Reuben, gyro sandwich, salads, fries. My husband enjoys their Italian beef and coney dog. Chili cheese fries are on par with a Detroit coney. Good fountain soda. Food is consistent and always hot. Take-out ready in 10-15 minutes. Order and pick up at the counter. Great food done well. My husband had the gyro & sweet potato fries. They were perfect & generous servings of both. The Greek salad was freshly made & not store bought bagged lettuce. Love the gyro salad. It makes me feel like I'm eating a healthier version of my favorite sandwich, although with how much meat comes on it, it's probably not much better. The fries and chicago dog are pretty solid as well! PLUS, THEY DELIVER!! I can't believe a place in St. Joe delivers and it isn't a pizza place. This is a Chicago Dog, Italian Beef, gyro type of place that is so prevalent in the Chicago metro area. There are a LOT of choices on the menu, so most everybody should be able to find something to try. I have had the patty melt here, which actually could have been a little MORE greasy and I would have been OK with it. This last time I had a combo sandwich - Italian sausage and Italian beef. I feel like this is the only place closer to me that has fries of great quality and doesn't cost much. What also won my heart was the baklava. It was made perfectly.
