Never in my life have I witnessed what happened today. My four female friends and I came in to eat and the staff member who sat us asked another waitress to take our table because he "did not want to wait on a table of women." The waitress who took over for him told us this, explaining why we hadn't been helped yet. A table of two men ordered, got their food, and had their check before we ordered anything. We are all still in disbelief at the blatant sexism and never again will we go to this establishment. I'd do zero stars if I could. read more

I've been coming here close to a decade and Chatterbox is my go-to sports bar if I feel like watching a game outside of my house. They have some great decor, with sports memorabilia filling the walls, along with the ceiling tiles being painted with various college and professional sports team's logos. Food is always good, the various burgers being the obvious choice for most patrons. While they do have a great burger, I've chosen to get other things on occasion (like the adult grilled cheese) and I've never been disappointed. Drinks available are also great. The 2 women running this place are a train wreck! They openly diss their customers and act incredibly childish. Apparently cashing out a Keno ticket is enough to send them over the edge. The food is great and every MAN at the restaurant is great. The FEMALE bartenders are rude and seem to be confused about the reponibilites of thier job. Updating to express extreme appreciation: I sent 30 meals to the ICU workers last week. I am a professional event planner and have ordered hundreds of catered meals. For this reason I fully expected them to only be able to accommodate 30 of the exact same meal. I was wildly impressed and surprised when they asked for names and customizations for each meal!!!! That is unheard of. Nurses told me each meal was made perfectly- not a single mistake. I also stopped by for carryout Sunday evening and everything was perfect. Chatter box is now my go to burger place in Benton Harbor , Saint Joseph area . Love those shoe string fries. You got to try the chatter burger it's loaded with everything but the kitchen sink . I stopped in this week for my first time. My bacon cheeseburger was good. The bun was toasted and the lettuce, tomato, and onion were all fresh. The fries were hot and the beer was ice cold. They have a good selection of beers on tap as well. The inside of the establishment was extremely clean. I like mine mild to medium and that is exactly how it came. The burger looked to be a handmade patty nice and thick. Cooked to perfection, juicy, and served on a soft toasted bun. Crispy shoestrings fires were nice side to this yummy burger. Based on the exterior and location, we almost left, but I am so glad we stayed. The inside is clean and nicely decorated. It's got a good sized dining area and an outdoor patio for the warmer months. Don't forget to look at the ceiling! The service is always given with a warm welcome and a smile. The fried pretzel with cheese was delicious. But the burgers...OMG, YUM! "Wife" got the James Dean BBQ bacon burger which was delicious and "Husband" got the mushroom Swiss burger. Wow! Great Hamburgers. I have lived about 10 minutes from this place and I just tried it out. I can't believe no one has told me about this place. The hamburgers are cooked fresh and are 1/2 pound in size. They have a wonderful taste. I did not eat in but ordered take out. The staff was friendly and helpful with the menu. I was very disappointed with the service. I ordered 3 fish sandwiches, my fish sandwiches were cold, the western cheese burger did not have cheese. The olive burger with cheese had no cheese.
