Okay so I'm hoping we caught them on a bad day - but we came here today and our food took well over an hour to come out. In fairness, they did tell us it would be about 30 minutes since they were behind, but it was MUCH longer than that. The place wasn't packed or anything - maybe 5 tables on the inside that had people. So it seemed odd. Anyway - the beer was cold and the servers were friendly. My husband had wings and I had the brisket sandwich. The food was good. No complaints there (wish we got a bit more fries!). Just wish the experience had been a little smoother timing-wise.

I stopped in for a smash burger, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and a beer. The food was mostly good. The mac had a good, creamy texture but did not taste much like cheese. I would not get it again. The beer was good, service was friendly, and the food came out quickly.

Hill District has finally opened in the former location of North Shore Inn, and we were lucky enough to try it on opening night. We were happy to see the golf mural remains, but the rest of the decor was elevated and the menu is DELIGHTFUL. I will say I was so happy to learn they had a vegetarian menu, but wouldn't have known unless I asked. Would be very helpful to note that in fine print on the standard menu! Stephanie was a wonderful server and everything came out in a reasonable time. The burger "slap sauce" impressed the whole table. There were a few kinks in the food that I'll wait to review until they are open for a bit longer. Overall we enjoyed our night with friends and will return!

Server was very kinda but our food took almost an hour to come out and they were not very busy. When it did come out , the majority of our party was not pleased, they barely touched the plate and ended up leaving a large portion. The chicken wings were hard and not like the flavor that was described. The Mac and cheese with chicken was overall mid, not warm (despite taking so long) and cheese flavor was off. I did enjoy the chicken myself but I can agree it wasn't a typical flavor. I didn't like the Mac.

The service was great super friendly! I got the poutine as my main dish and honestly didn't even finish it I was so full. My friends got burgers and rated them a 7 I rate my food an 8 almost 9 because I loved the smokiness. The ambience was pretty cute! I definitely would come here again.

The old owners had better food I miss their southwest salad so much. My friends still rave about it. I haven't enjoyed the recent food here.

Depends on what your there for. The poutine was pretty good. Got a flight of beer. Didn't really care for any of them.

Food was great but our server, Tony, is what made the whole experience fantastic! We will be back.

The typical parking lot was fenced off so we had to utilize the street parking nearby. We were told to choose a seat and they'd be right with us. They only opened at 11am, at by the time we got there around 12:30 it was starting to fill up a bit already. My husband got the "in a van down by the river" cocktail, which I tasted, and we both agreed was delicious. For our appetizer, which we had never ordered one before from this establishment, we got the Wisconsin cheese curds. The sauce it came with reminds me of a good sauce for onion rings and was just as amazing on the cheese curds (it was called Sunny ranch I believe). We both got our usual entrees, my husband ordered a double smash burger and I got the atomic punk sandwich, both of which came with fries. My husband devoured his food, while my anxiety basically required me to wait until we got home to eat. I would definitely recommend stopping by The Brick House and grabbing a bite to eat. They have never disappointed us or the people we've sent their way.

It's a lovely place for a restaurant and we've been able to find comfortable seating for a large group. We visited on Black Friday and had a nice experience! Our server was attentive and fast, drinks were handled very well with everyone getting different coffees, teas, etc. and we were all ordered with the food out within 15 minutes. One dish was delayed but the rest came out on time. The food is pretty standard for an American brunch spot- it's 4/5 stars when it comes to seasoning/quality in my opinion, and comes at a higher price point- but I think you're paying for the view which makes sense! The windows over the water are beautiful and the decor is cozy and comfortable. So all in all, this is a great choice of a spot for a date night or family meal. The menu has all of your standard brunch options- a Benedict, pancakes, several omelettes, a classic breakfast, a hash, etc. I ordered the garden omelette and it left a little to be desired- potatoes weren't all the way cooked/ sat in a lot of oil, eggs were well cooked but the veggies were cut in large chunks/on the more raw side. This is what I meant about being 4/5 stars. Large portion sizes though, and something for everyone on the menu. The pizzas and sandwiches always look really good! And there's an extensive drink menu as well as a holiday drink menu. I imagine this place would be amazing in the summer when Benton Harbor comes alive but it's charming in the colder months as well. We will keep coming back when we're in town visiting family!
