I finally got my food at 11:47, when asked for another sauce after I finally received my food and I was charged a dollar for it. I miss the times when I place would give you that sauce or that free fry or that free soda for your long wait when I was given a false time to wait for my food. The food was so good and definitely fresh made to order! Great option for a health conscious meal when wanting something different from chains. I typically look for black owned businesses to support whenever I can and I like to check the reviews prior to placing an order. The reviews for this place were spot on for sure so I'm just adding to an already amassed pile of accuracy. Ordering process: very streamlined, placed order online via the Yelp app which send through Grub Hub at their establishment. I didn't notice any gross differences in the pricing based on what the restaurant menu had posted versus what was on Yelp. I know sometimes there are sneaky little surcharges that get added onto the menu items when ordering online through a third party service, but I didn't rectify any glaring difference. The estimated time to completion was spot on. I was quoted a 45-55 min wait and the pick up window time was about a thirty minute span. My order was ready at the begin of the pick up window in the dot. COVID Procedures: Masks are required and no more than 5 patrons in the building at the time which helps with social distancing. You must be buzzed in from outside before entering to adhere to safety. All employees had on masks and gloves from what I could see. Plexi glass was installed for the added layer of protection for everyone as they engaged in business exchange. Overall atmosphere appeared to be very clean and well kept and they had a high quality/health safety rating posted on the wall and on YELP. Parking: street parking and there is some additional parking in other local lots but they belong to other businesses so I wouldn't chance being parked for too long because it appears to be a high visibility towing area. Make sure you brush up on your parallel parking skills before going,lol. It's a busy thoroughfare and intersection and you don't wanna get caught slipping not knowing how to get outta the way of the traffic. Seating: this is pick up/delivery only. No indoor seating.m which was fine with me because I'm used to establishments like this having lived in DC a few times. Service: really good and inviting. They kept things moving well and really streamlined - especially since the space inside is limited. They greeted me when I walked in, were all very pleasant and attentive, and verified my name and phone number before releasing my order. My order was atop the counter hot and ready to go as soon as I walked in and got in the order pick up line. The wait time is long and many others commented on this so I made sure to submit my order early so I would have to sit and wait too long when I arrived for pick up. Pricing: $-$$ spot on and there are plenty of options to choose from to for any palate. Food: was great! Made fresh and wasn't heavy with a bunch of unnecessary seasoning and such. I ordered the shrimp rice bowl and it came just as pictured on the site. I liked that I could see all my ingredients and it was packaged and presented so well. It held very well in my 30 min transport home and was even still warm when I sat down to eat. Location: it's in the heart of the West End area and close to Morehouse. If you aren't familiar with the area, the AUC or West end, make sure you are taking all safely precautions and eyes open. They have done a good job to position them selves in a visible location and have some safety features in place to protects patrons and employees - make sure to do you part as well. Since the last time I reviewed Mr. Everything Cafe, it has moved to a location just across the street from where it was previously. The food is still on point but the restaurant is smaller. I was there this past Friday (May 24, 2019) and ordered the Grilled Shrimp Healthy Choice Yellow Rice dish with everything on it (grilled onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, cheese & diced tomatoes). The total cost for my order was $11.34. The current location is a lot smaller than the previous one. There were six small stools near the window and very little space for customers to stand. Also, it was a humid 93 degree day and there was no air conditioning- just a Walmart fan on the counter that was turned in the direction of the employees who were working hard in all that heat trying to get the customers' orders ready. Including the people who were seated, there were only about 10 customers in there but it still was stuffy and cramped. I felt like I was in everyone's way just standing at the counter and looking over the menu. Since the door was open the whole time, I just stood outside near the doorway after I placed my order. Once another customer got her food, I came inside and stood up until I could finally sit down. While I was standing though, my leg accidentally brushed up against a woman's leg who was sitting and she started audibly blowing air out of her cheeks like she was mad. It was a long, hot, uncomfortable wait. It was nearly half an hour before I received my order. I'm not upset about the wait time because I understandably had to wait for other orders to be prepared before mine. I just didn't care for how much smaller the cafe is now in comparison to the previous location. The previous location wasn't big either but at least it was larger than the current spot. The food is still up to the same high standards as in the past and the customer service was good. I don't like the smaller location but will continue to patronize Mr. Everything. I'll just make sure that it isn't that crowded the next time I go there. read more

Mr. Everything is literally EVERYTHING! During my trip to Atlanta, my boyfriend hyped up how good their food is and he was not lying. I will say this place gets crowded and the area near the counter is kind of tight but it's well worth the struggle. The line helped to give me time to decide what I wanted. I ordered the healthy choice grilled chicken on yellow rice with the spicy creole sauce. It was amazing. Every bit was better than the last. Honestly, the only thing healthy about it was the size. You get your money's worth. I had extra to take with me to go. We opted to eat inside the place. The dining area was clean and there were TVs for our entertainment. The staff was friendly as well. As busy as it was, they gave us refills on our drinks without any problems. The lemonade and iced tea was really good! My only gripe was parking or lack of it. There is metered street parking but good luck trying to find it. We took a gamble, parked at Walmart and walked. I can gladly say the food was worth possibly getting towed lol (but seriously don't do what I did because I'm not sure how strict they are with towing). Service was good. However, I order the "low carb salad" and as I'm devouring it, I notice that they put rice even after I informed them, I was on a low carb diet. I'm really annoyed because it ruined my diet and It look like they accidentally did it and realized it wasn't supposed to have rice. So instead of just making a brand new one, they just figured it was only a little rice, maybe I won't notice. Like what if I was allergic or something? I like Mr. Everything. It's a Black owned business in the AUC (Atlanta University Center) area. The inside is pretty small, you walk to the back to place your order and then move down towards the entrance to pay. Kind of an odd set-up. They have a variety of items on the menu including, chicken and rice bowls, salmon and rice bowls, grilled chicken sub, salmon sub, etc. These items typically include onions, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes (Roma), and cheese. Mayo comes on the subs FYI. You can choose wheat or white bread for the subs. They do not have any side items besides potato chips. They do have slices of cake for $3.00. I enjoyed my sandwich when I got back to my office and trust me the 6 inch was enough. Now if you have a huge appetite for some really greasy food then get the large. The Spicy creole sauce was really yummy on the sandwich. There are some do's and don't's for Mr. Everything's: 1. Do not come for lunch unless you have an 1hr-1 1/2 hrs to spare. I arrived around 2:50pm, I ordered a 6 inch chicken sub with no mushrooms on wheat. I didn't get it until 3:45pm. A single 6-inch sandwich took an hour? They were on number 20 when I walked in and I was #40!!!! You can't cancel your order otherwise I would have. 2. If you're looking for healthy food, turn around, and go back out of the door. This is not the place to come talking about being a health nut. Sorry, it's just not! It's greasy, cheesy, and delicious! Although they could stand to clean the grill off a little more frequently. 3. They keep ice in a portable cooler and drinks inside of a tub that's in a cooler. Not sure how sanitary that is? Their health score was an 84 so o figure 4. They offer an assortment of cakes, strawberry, key lime, red velvet, etc. for $3.00 5. Parking can be hard to find but you could park at Wal-Mart and walk over I'm sure. 6. I heard the employee say they couldn't take phone orders. Not sure if they actually don't take phone orders or if they stop taking them at a certain time. So hubby and I decided to visit Mr. Everything after driving pass one day. Checked out the pictures on yelp and thought it looked pretty good. So we got the "healthy" items which were the yellow rice bowls loaded with veggies, topped with cheese and your choice of meat. I got shrimp hubby got chicken. They also offer you a salad dressing of your choice. I was surprised by this as I didn't think a salad came with it. Well it didn't. The dressing was for the bowl. Interestingly so much better with the dressing. I had the chipotle ranch and hubby had some type of spicy dressing. Do know it's nothing fancy and they get really really crowded. I got the Healthy yellow rice dish with shrimp who knew such a weird mixture of food would be so delicious. Once the lady opened the tray to show me my mouth was watering!! The cucumber sauce and spicy creole sauce were great. The servers were friendly! The lemonade tastes like that super sweet hood lemonade... just the way I like it!
