Philly cheesesteak, honey hot wings, and fries

We were looking for a place to eat before the snoop concert at Lakewood amphitheater. OMG, there's nothing like a hood spot with banging wings and Philly's. This food is sooooooo good, it's fresh, and its flavorful. The service was so nice and quick. It's an unassuming place next to the gas station, but there's a reason there's a lot full of cars!

I tried giving them another try since my last visit 10/2020! The vibes is not the same. The food is not good. I really miss the old Yums sub shop! The owners and food! This food is mediocre. Poor quality. Rushed & cooked . I'll never visit again unless they get new owners with new recipes or go back to the old recipes long live the old recipes

Definitely digging this spot. I love Hood spots! For the most part, they have some of the best (unhealthiest) food. The fried rice (shrimp, chicken) rivals some of the great Chinese take out places back in NY tri state area. Took me back to a place. By far, the best fried rice I've had In Atlanta. If you can get past the sketchy area at the Chevron Gas station where this place is locates (and you will be fine...). You will enjoy the great food. They have almost everything. Sandwiches, subs, seafood, Chinese, rolls, the whole shabang. I thought the wings were OK. They will do. Much better quality on that part of town. The place is open at a decent hour (midnight on weekends). You definitely want to call 15-20 minutes ahead so you will not be waiting. Good spot. Will be in rotation going forward. Grade: A-/B+

It really wasn't worth my time. I didn't really enjoy any of it. Got lomein and the rice like SUGGESTED. Child I should've went to JJS. That Philly cheesesteak isn't one may as well go to your local wing shop. Sorry I won't be back.

I had lunch here yesterday and I must say I was pleased. The restuarant was clean and the young lady at the counter had very good customer service. She was professional and quick. My food was cooked when I ordered it and not already prepared. Considering this location is in the center of a not so good neighborhood, the service, atmosphere and food was absolutely great! I only mentioned that because usually when I try a restuarant in a bad neighborhood the food may be good but the service and cleaniness is bad. I ordered the steak & shrimp with cheese sub combo, it was SOOOOOO Good! The combo was $6.49 and it came with fries and a drink. I had the mild & sweet sauce on the side to dip my fries. I know I had no business eating all of it because it look like so much food but I ate the entire meal, now it will take 2 weeks to work off those calories, but it was so worth it!!!!!!

I just moved to the neighborhood about a month ago, and I've already found my home away from home. From wings, and subs to seafood and Chinese food, Yum's is a great value for great food. Try the 3 pcs fish, steak & cheese, wing combo, and beef fried rice. My daily spot!

The wings got better from the old yums. The old wings use to be fried flour chicken with sauce on it.

Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.

It was not huge in a bad way, but just enough to be satisfying and filling. the staff was friendly and as I was waiting for my sandwiches I realized that this place is very cannabis friendly, from the Thanks for Pot Smoking sign to the 420-day promotion they are running. Full bar and lots of daily drink special. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go check out Hudson and Alphonse Deli…read more I had to come on here and give a major shoutout to Sammy, the cook and founder. From the moment I called in, his customer service was top tier. Professional, warm, and intentional. He made sure my order was right, sent a quick payment link so things moved efficiently, and had everything ready by the time I arrived. That's how you run a business. When I pulled up, he greeted me with a smile, brought my food out, and confidently told me I was going to enjoy it and he was absolutely right. I originally planned to grab my food and go, but his energy made me slow down, sit, pray, and actually enjoy the moment. I asked for a lime Jarritos, and he recommended pineapple instead to pair with the jerk seasoned wild caught salmon sandwich. That recommendation was on point and really elevated the whole experience. That sandwich hits. Every bite pops with flavor across your entire palate. The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy but not soggy. The kale had the right crunch. The onions tied everything together. And that homemade garlic butter on the salmon took it to another level. It's a creative spin on a traditional cheesesteak. I'm sure the beef options are great too, but if you want seafood, this is the move. I've had a Philly cheesesteak in Philly before, and honestly, I don't need to go back. When I'm in Atlanta, I'm coming here. Sammy, thank you for the hospitality and the intentionality behind what you do. You didn't just serve food, you created an experience. Thank you for praying with me. I will definitely be back.

We picked up a couple beers to go with our sandwiches. For food, we got a Reuben and the meatball sub. Both were very good and prepared quite quickly! The meatball sub had some sort of pesto on it, and the meatballs were great (flavorful and filling). I loved the ciabatta type bread it was served on, it was hearty but not tough.
