I love a good margarita pizza and Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria didn't let me down...DELICIOSO and that crust! The service was good and the ambiance was chill.

One of those spots where you order food and drinks, then end up staying for over two hours just enjoying the conversation. The weather was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and the outdoor seating was perfect for the day. The food was delicious, our server was kind and attentive, and the overall experience made us want to linger a little longer.

Ordered a cheese and sausage pizza with green peppers . I was so disappointed it very little cheese ,the green peppers were sliced and the meat was chunks of sausage. I'm from Chicago and im not used to eating this type of pizza. It was burnt on crust. Customer service was excellent. The restaurant was welcoming. I'm going to try to eat it . But this is a hard pass

This place was so good! The pizza was so crunchy and soft at the same time, the drinks were strong, the staff were very friendly. We sat outside and it was really nice. We're from out of state so we will definitely come back to this spot whenever we're back in Atlanta.

I went here to grab a late dinner. The hostess was kind enough to take my order over the phone before they closed. I ordered a Greco pizza on gluten-free crust. I arrived before it was ready so I sat at the bar. The bartender was nice. He even packed me some napkins, plates, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese packets. The pizza was good. I liked how light the crust was, which isn't always the case with gluten-free pizza. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in town to explore the menu more. They have a good amount of seating options, and it looked like they have outdoor seating too.

They close at 9, I came ay 8 and was seated immediately. Host cleaned the table off after we were seated. Our server was friendly, and upbeat. She had good energy. Took our orders and food soon was brought to the table. It was something about the dressing that I didn't like, turned me off. Almost a tangy taste to it. The pizza was good, I just would've preferred my pie to have been cooked longer, to be a bit more crispy rather than doughie. It was O.K. There's TV with games on, a bar and chalk drawings on the way.

Funky coal fired pizza place in Atlanta. I had the meatballs, great taste and chew was soft. Very good fresh tasting Marinara sauce. Excellent pizza, I had the Traditional and loved it. Fun service as well!

This casual dining restaurant with an outdoor street view patio is just a short walk (1-2 city blocks) from the plaza with Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola and Museum of Civil and Human Rights. We ordered Tradizionale and Bianca specialty pizzas and a kids spaghetti (came w/meatball). Food came out fresh, hot and delicious. The confit garlic on the Bianca pizza Pizza crust was crisp and slightly chewy. Service was attentive, fast & friendly. Highly recommend paying this location a visit if in the vicinity.

Great spot in Atlanta. I am a pizza snob and this was great pizza. I liked the Bianca the most out of the ones we got. The meatballs were also extremely tasty. If I was a waiter there I'd stuff a couple in my pockets on the way out. The wings were good but not the highlight for sure. Worth trying tho. The drinks were also super yummy. Well made and good balance. We sat outside and it was a great ambiance. The service was on point and timely. Overall a great experience. Thanks guys!

Lemon pepper wings-I like mine dry but these still pretty good.

Very conveniently located to the cnn center and State Farm arena. The food was good and reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the pizza-it's very shareable. All of the food is very shareable and good! KeAnna was our server and she is new there so I am giving her a shout out because she is really good and trying very hard.

Pizza was DA BOMB, the Wings were also very good. There is only one flavor "Lemon and Herb Parmesan " 0 spice but really tasty. Cesar salad was also good portion size , can feed 2/3 ppl. Service was nice and attentive , inside has a lot of TVs and spacious for large parties .

We've been on a road trip since Christmas Day and ended up in Atlanta for one night. Max's pizzeria was recommended and boy it did not disappoint! The crust was crispy and the toppings were cooked just right, not too raw or dry. The coal ovens absolutely make a difference to the taste. The service was a bit slow but it was a holiday weekend and the place was overwhelmed with customers. Highly recommend if you love pizza!

My favorite dish was definitely the jambalaya. The jambalaya was great for tasting all the meats. The Mac n cheese was so cheesy and fresh. My favorite meat however was definitely the sausage, however all the plates had some version with sausage. The employees were so kind and helpful and had great southern hospitality. The food was made fresh and took less than 10 minutes to make. If I'm ever back in the Atlanta area, I will be coming here again. Also great location in terms of downtown. Essentially you can eat 1/2 of the sandwich and save the other half for a second meal. Now the bread pudding was a disappointment. It was dry and lacked flavor, I would not recommend. My friend enjoyed her tuna melt, the only feedback she had was that the press did not allow for the inside of the sandwich to be warm. She thought the entire sandwich would be warm. We're fans of other healthy bowl places like Upbeet (just across the street) and gusto! The bowls/plates we had this past Monday at sweetgreen were better than what we've had over the past year from both Upbeet and gusto! I didn't expect that from sweetgreen, which is a nationwide chain with over 240 locations. In comparison, Upbeet has only two locations (Atlanta and Nashville) and gusto! is a local chain with 12 Atlanta-area locations. At this location, sweetgreen validates parking in the attached garage (behind the restaurant) for one hour. Enter the garage via Brady Ave NW. There are two entry points. From the garage, there's a breezeway with direct access to sweetgreen and Howell Mill Rd. Take your parking ticket with you so the staff can put a validation sticker on it. My wife and I dined in and had the following for dinner: * Miso Glazed Salmon ($15.95) - miso-glazed salmon, avocado, cucumbers, pickled onions, crispy onions, white rice, nori sesame seasoning and spicy cashew * Hot Honey Chicken ($14.95) - blackened chicken, warm roasted sweet potatoes, veg slaw, crispy onions, herbed quinoa, and hot honey mustard sauce plus kale * Ripple Fries + Pickle Ketchup ($4.55) - freshly cut potatoes, air-fried in avocado oil and seasoned with sea salt and herbs Jendaya prepared our order and rang us up. Not only were our bowls delicious, but she plated and presented them beautifully. My wife had a question or two since it was our first time. Jendaya was nice when answering them and explaining things. Wonderful service from her. Overall, we were impressed with how tasty and satisfying the bowls were. The ingredient combinations were really flavorful. Everything was so fresh and yummy that it didn't taste like we were eating healthy food. I was most impressed with the salmon, which was soft, moist, and quite appetizing. If only all fast-casual restaurant salmon could be this good. My wife added kale to the Hot Honey Chicken, at no extra charge. You can create custom plates/bowls/salads from scratch or you can modify existing ones on the menu. One plate and fries filled me up for dinner. My wife got full before finishing her plate. We were the only dine-in customers during our visit on Monday around 6:20pm -- not surprising since it was a Monday at dinnertime. I expect this place is busier at lunchtime. If you dine in, the bowls are different (not disposable). In the dining room, a few tables hadn't been cleaned when we sat down to eat. Also, one of the trash bins was overflowing and another was about to. During our visit, I noticed a slow, but steady stream of online and takeout customers and food delivery drivers come through. Currently, there are six sweetgreen locations in metro Atlanta, only one of which is in the burbs (Dunwoody). This Star Metals location was the fourth to open in Atlanta, on March 22, 2022. The first location opened at Ponce City Market on June 8, 2021. The company/brand started in Washington DC in 2006. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating in a cool part of town (Westside). The interior still looks new with a modern, industrial design.
