However he kept mentioning after the fact that he hooked me up and did the grit for free. In the end, the grit was spread unevenly because he had used leftovers from another project. When the work was done there were SEVERAL tiny pin sized holes throughout the floor. They blamed it on picking a solid color. If we had chosen flakes it would have masked it. They also downplayed having the holes in the floor like it was no big deal. To be fair he offered to fix with some type of refund or coming back years later to touch it up. I respectfully declined as all I wanted was a nice even floor

I recently hired the Hardwood Floor Doctor to replace the old carpet in our master bedroom with…read morereal hardwood. Since our home was built in the 1940s, it was important to me to find someone who respected the traditional quality of the original floors. From our first meeting, Alberto stood out. He clearly appreciates the value of real hardwood and true craftsmanship, which gave me total confidence in him. The project involved matching the new bedroom floor to the rest of the house and refinishing the original floor in my office, which was in rough shape after years of wear and tear. I honestly can't believe the transformation--the office floor looks brand new and has completely changed the feel of the room. I compared the Hardwood Floor Doctor with two other companies, and Alberto's pricing was more than fair. Beyond the cost, his transparency regarding the scope of work and timeline was refreshing. He is prompt, thorough, and detail-oriented, truly putting customer satisfaction above all else. Since this is our forever home, I'm incredibly grateful for the care he took. I highly recommend Alberto and his team!

Extremely disappointed with Legends LA Epoxy…read more I had my floors done by Legends LA Epoxy and it's been nothing but problems. Within a week of finishing the job, the epoxy started peeling off the floors and the colors don't even match from one room to the next. I contacted Jose, the owner, and he kept saying he would come to fix it--but he never shows up. I've been more than patient, but the lack of professionalism and poor quality work speak for themselves. If you're considering using Legends LA Epoxy, save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Terrible communication, poor workmanship, and no accountability.

### 2023 review 17/100 ###…read more I say it like it is. No sugar coating. No games. ALL my reviews are based 100% on my own experience and attempts to work with the other side. That's my MO. So when I give a 5-star review, it means something. Similarly, I'm not "afraid" to give a business a 1-star review in the hope that it'll help... if just 1 person avoid the experience I had to go through. It's rather unfortunate that some businesses out there retaliate and make false allegations when they get a bad review, and even go as far as attacking the reviewer. Don't get bullied by those kind... stand by your review as that's the only way to improve our Yelp community!!! That said. After 3 months of the most horrible bad luck dealing with contractors from hell... meeting Jose was a breath of fresh air. Communicative. Responsive. Show up when he says he'll show up. And on time! Fair in pricing. Honest. Hard working. Trustworthy. Jose called me when he arrived at my garage BEFORE he entered my garage keypad code to let me know he's at my house. That speaks a lot about how he does business and truly respects his customers. Do not evaluate a business based on how many hundreds of reviews they have on their Yelp profile. Trust me... I've learnt my lessons many times over, first hand -- it's actually now suspicious to me when I see a business have too many 5-star -- maybe to drown and hide all their 1-star actually real reviews. Jose & his team did an amazing job gettin my garage floor done properly. There was a spot that didn't dry properly and Jose even came back a few weeks later, when he was able to fit me into his busy schedule -- and did his best to fix it. These things happen and it's how the business work with you to address any issues that come up that truly matters. Highly recommend Jose, you'll be in good hands. PS: Thanks Jose for giving me back a glimmer of faith that there still exist good honest contractors out there!
