Octavio came over and gave me a quote for the project - removing paint from baseboards and floor + resealing whatever was needed from the paint lift. I confirmed via text. He just came over, did a cursory pass through and started to clean up the dust. When I pointed things out, some of the things he said was that the paint in parts/grooves of the hardwood "didn't matter" and he "mostly did the job." I had to stop working to keep showing him the paint in other places. He said that he didn't understand what the job was and even when he said it was important to make me happy, he still couldn't do it. I eventually told him that he needed to leave and he said he would return the deposit. He argued with me the whole time - and I am sure he wouldn't have talked to a man like this. read more
