Hired David to sand and stain our original wood floors and replace a floor heater with wood floors. Initially was pleased with the job but realized the area where the wood floors were replaced was sagging. A couple of the planks are dipping individually as well. They did come back out to replace again but still didn't manage to fix it. I asked David how he could fix it and had no solutions to rectify the situation and blamed the age of the house. This is the only noticeable dip in my floors. After reaching out to David, he has not gotten back to me after months of time. Hired to replace heater with wood and looks/feels worse now. We replaced all of the old flooring in our condo with waterproof vinyl. Met with 3 different flooring companies, but decided to go with David because of price + speed of installation. I met with David several times before installation and he brought me different samples I could choose from at each meeting in order to find my perfect floor and baseboard. I ended up choosing a waterproof luxury vinyl plank installed throughout the entire unit including kitchen and bathrooms. It will be waterproof even in these rooms. The brand I chose was Lions Floor in Daisy Pearl. David was really great in the beginning. Came to the project, gave a quote, really good pricing, was able to commit and start on time - all was smooth. But we had a. Inspector show up- asking for permits and stopping our project. David became really hard to work with then. We chose cork at a certain high price but did not have specs for the city - so we went with a different material to confirm to the city's standard which ended up costing less and some how we still paid more. Which was okay with me to make up for lost time. Then we had issues getting him back on the project to finish up after the city had their fun pushing and inspecting flooring and other stuff. This was what was frustrating. Trying to add to our cost after getting screwed by the city was not nice. Then my contractor went ahead and did the base molding they were supposed to do. My GC had a hard time with him. At the end we got great floors but came with a head ache and extra costs. We didn't get any transitions done for bathrooms and front doors. Like common! read more
