They did not carry the particular floor we wanted, but they were willing to do the install for a very reasonable price. Art took our measurements told us exactly what we needed to buy. 10 stars!! The whole experience from the beginning to the end was incredible. My experience began with Art who is one of the most patient, caring and responsive individuals I've ever met. He was extremely patient with me trying to pick the right flooring for our home and understood that this is not a simple decision. He never pressured me to make a decision and was helping me along the journey by allowing me to take samples home (sometimes 10 at a time). This went on for weeks and not once did he show frustration. We decided on European oak and couldn't be happier. On the first day of the project, I met Vahag (project manager) and George and William (father/son installers). Vahag explained to me what to expect in the coming days and he would be managing the project and making sure the installers have the material needed. He dropped in on a regular basis to check on the project progression, listened to ideas I had and made sure the materials were delivered on time to not delay the completion of the project. George is a true craftsman. He has mastered the art of installing wood flooring and making sure all the trims and baseboards are done to perfection. He is kind, patient, and listens to suggestions. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and that I was 100% happy. William was working alongside his father the whole time, sometimes Saturdays too and is a craftsman in the making. We spent an excessive amount of time looking for new flooring to replace our old carpeting and came upon Crescenta Valley Flooring. Jacques was very patient with our questions and quite helpful about the various options as well as prices that met our needs. The installers were on time and left everything cleaner than before. Everything went smoothly with our installation until the very end where I thought one of the installers may have broken the springs on our garage door when he shunted it open. I called Jacques and told him about the situation, later coming to the conclusion that the poor installer was in the wrong place at the wrong time and told him to forget about the call. The springs were over 10 years old and probably needed to be replaced eventually. The owner called me immediately afterwards, apologized for the situation and credited my account $200. I told him he did not have to do that but he insisted. I think that speaks volumes about this business and the service they provide. read more

we bought a fantastic flip back in 2009. the house was wood floor throughout, except the bedrooms, which were carpeted. i waited 11 years to redo the carpet, and i wanted matching wood. it was an absolute miracle that we got as close a match as we did, and we expect it to patina to an even closer match over the next few months. on to cv flooring...i am so pleased with this contractor. he was honest and realistic and his price was the best i received of all 4 proposals (but this was not the main reason i hired him, i just got a really good impression from him from his initial visit to my home and throughout the entire project). vahan was a pleasure to deal with: honest, friendly, responsive, reasonable. his installation guys were extremely diligent, talented, respectful, and punctual. they arrived when promised, got to work, and only took a very short break to eat lunch. they have a very physically demanding job but never seemed too tired. they set reasonable and realistic daily goals and worked until they were met. we had one snag where our subfloor needed repair. once they pulled out the carpet in the office, we found a hidden defect in a small area of the subfloor plywood where the plywood joint wasn't sitting on a floor joist and the floor wasn't solid or stable there. a less scrupulous bunch might have floored over it, but arsen and vahan advised me to get it repaired by an expert before installing the floors. i recommend cv flooring without reservation. they were a pleasure to work with, honest and reasonable. a very positive experience overall. i'm SO happy!! read more

We just completed a perfect flooring experience through Crescenta Valley Flooring. Our project involved replacing roughly 1,100 square feet of carpeted bedrooms on 1950's subflooring with pre-finished maple hardwood laid over a new plywood base. They had large size samples in their showroom (clean, organized), and Art provided solid in-store support (with masks). Their proposal was over 20% less than 1 other bid we had received, so we proceeded right away. Art responded to emails very quickly when we had questions. The flooring material was delivered at exactly the date and time promised, and the installers showed up exactly on-time every day. The work took 6 days, which was also exactly what Art had estimated. The installers worked really hard (including working in 110 degree heat outside while trimming the wood pieces). Raffi (installation lead) communicated well with us throughout the process, and both Art and Vahan inspected the site while work was in process. We were able to sleep in the main bedroom while all of the other bedrooms were being completed, and then they completed our bedroom on the last day (including moving heavy furniture around), so we never had to sleep outside of our room. We have a hallway which is "L" shaped, and the installers were able to follow a design suggestion to make it so both legs of the "L" would have the boards running lengthwise. The union of the two legs looks great (see photo). Overall, a great performance by Crescenta Valley Flooring - highly recommended. read more

Crescenta Valley Flooring was a joy to deal with. They were very patient with the decision-making process, and even brought a dozen palettes of samples to the house so we could look at them in context. They ultimately ended up quoting us about $1,000 less (more than 1/3) than the 2 previous quotes we had received, and for an obviously quality product. The installation team arrived right on time, on a Saturday morning, and had all 3 bedrooms finished in less than 5 hours. One of the crew insisted on helping us move the furniture back into the rooms and even took the time to tighten all the nuts on our master bedroom headboard (we have a brass headboard). Rafi in the office, who had been our contact throughout the process, called to be sure everything was satisfactory, but waited a couple of days before asking to finalize the balance. Superb, personalized service, excellent quality product and at a price about a third less than what we had previously found......we can't recommend them too strongly. read more

This review is long overdue. I recently had my entire first downstairs flooring replaced with gorgeous laminate. This was no easy task. The existing flooring was a mix of carpet, ceramic tile, and hardwood, all of which were extremely difficult and messy to remove. The concrete underneath was not in the best shape so it had to be ground and smoothed. The installers were prompt, professional, and FAST.
