The technician quickly got the tire off and got the used tire on. Next, he did a dynamic balancing. Because I had a front end wobble, he suggested he checked the other front tire as well. I think he was gonna do it for free, but I offered to pay $10. Upon taking the tire off, he quickly spotted a nail in it. He removed it and tested the tire to make sure it wasn't leaking. Since the tire was still good, he did a dynamic balance on it and mounted the tire. I felt the service was really good and better than most tire shops I've gone to. About the only thing I didn't like, was that they required cash. They have an ATM machine in their office area. So I had to get cash out to pay them. Their ATM machine cost $3.00 to use. So I wish I was told on the phone to bring cash. But other than that, I was very happy with the service. If I need another tire, I know where I'll go!

I dropped the car off late in the night and drop my key in their dropbox, expecting, I might get ripped off because I didn't have any context for this business. To my amazing surprise, I talked to the team at Tracy Auto Service and they are super honest and helpful. My clanking in the car was a relatively minor issue (skid plate dropped). And they told me how to fix it when I got home. They charged me a very reasonable /nominal fee for the time for inspection and diagnosis. Since I've been ripped off many times by mechanics in the past., it's so great to know there are great trustworthy businesses still around. I couldn't have found this business without Yelp help/. I just bought the vehicle, I know nothing about it, I wanted a comprehensive check to know its condition. Toyota failed to give confidence in their competence so I called my buddy and he recommended I take it Les Schwab. I was going to go to Livermore Toyota. I went to Les Schwab and they offered me everything that I was prepared to pay for at Toyota as a complimentary service. They were willing to do so much for free that I refused to take free as a price point. I asked for an oil change- to which they still added a ton of free services. I'm not one for free, I believe free is never good quality. But when I went back to speak with the tech, they explained to me that I made a solid purchase and that the noise I'm hearing is a worn exhaust hanger- causing the exhaust to rattle against an aftermarket tow hitch. Thank you to Nate, the tall bald ginger Tech- badass dude. Mike the Tall honcho dude- he sent Anthony with me on a test drive who ultimately discovered that the issue wasn't in my suspension and potentially saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars before I went apeshit tearing stuff apart to figure the noise out. I would recommend Les Schwab. Especially this Tracy location. An awesome group of individuals that make an amazing team, Fuckin thank you guys. Today I came in because my car was leaking oil. I had made an appointment at the local dealership but then realized that I should drop by Les Schwab first. After explaining that my car was leaking oil but before I could even ask, Mike asked me "So do you want us to check it out for you?" After replying yes that would be great, Mike informed me that it would be zero charge. They quickly had my car up and checking it out. Mike updated me that it was a bad oil plug, that they had already ordered it, told me it would be there soon and they would have it fixed shortly. AWESOME!! It makes me wonder if the dealership would have been as honest and quick. I know definitely not as inexpensive! I found Advance Auto from Yelp recommendations and even though it took 4 months to work through MANY issues, it was worth it. Jimmy was very communicative through the process. I can't tell you how many times you have to chase mechanics and shops for updates, which is really annoying when you're paying good money for their services. Jimmy was always on top of it and very responsive. What started as trying to pass smog, quickly escalated to chasing multiple CEL issues - bad fuel filter, leaking coolant system, full A/C system was not functioning, new radiator, power steering gearbox, multiple issues with fuel injectors, etc. Because I assumed the labor costs would accumulate, I chose to service the van here instead of closer to the bay and it certainly saved me a significant chunk of change. Every time we thought a problem was solved, another one popped up, which is why it took 4 months - juggling my work schedule to drop off the van for multiple projects. Every time I thought the CEL was gone permanently, it popped up and prevented me from smogging the vehicle. It drove me nuts, but Jimmy and the techs there figured out each problem one by one, and always started with the cheapest/simplest possible solution to make sure they didn't accrue unnecessary cost. And when we had to replace the fuel injectors for the 3rd time, they cut me a break on the labor for that whole issue. I really can't say enough things about these folks.

Before getting into the truck, I specifically asked about the price and was told it would be $325 per hour. The trip took about one hour, so I reasonably expected a bill of around $325-$650 at most. However, after arriving, I was charged approximately $1,300. The company explained that I was being billed not only for the actual towing time, but also for the driver's travel time to reach me and for his return trip afterward. According to them, the driver needed nearly four hours of billable travel time for a route between Discovery Bay and Concord. This was never clearly explained before the tow began. I felt misled by the pricing and would not have agreed to the service had I known the true cost in advance. Make sure you get the total price in writing before accepting any service from this company. I would not recommend them.

And once that was done they said it wasn't working still and they need to do the labor for expansion valve but it's 7 hour labor. But how would they recommend that without even diagnosing?? They just want to point you towards more labor for them to get paid without actually diagnosing. I even come to find out the A/C compressor they replaced, wasn't even hooked up properly.
