My car was hit by another vehicle in Sept. 2021. My car insurance asked me to try Caliber Collision. I finally got an appointment to see them in Dec. 2021. With great disappointment, they can not look at my car in Feb. 2022. I called Manteca Auto Body in Dec. 2021 and they were busy as well but can see my car in Jan. 2022. On Jan. 20, 2022, Lucy saw the damage on my bumper and Marcos and others fixed it. The repair was quick but our car insurance took forever to authorize them to repair my front bumper. I took my car to get a quote for repairs but after talking to few people with bad experiences I went elsewhere I found out a month later they accepted payment from my insurance and cashed the payment despite no work done. when I called them to ask they said the check was never cashed and in fact mailed back to insurance (lie) when I called back to speak with management they apologized and said they would mail a payment back. week2 weeks later I called and said they forgot to take payment and it had been sitting in their counter for a week (WOW) Save your time and headaches avoid this place ! read more

I had my buddy bring in my rzr plastics for the price that they quoted me I expected a 10/10 job, when my buddy went to go pick them up it looked like they been drug around the parking lot all scratched up, we told them it wasn't right and that they quoted me another $1800 to do the work again which they should have done the first time. they should have called me when they did the first piece of plastic to tell that they need to prep and primer more but instead they proceeded to do all my plastics and waste my time and money,I could have saved myself time and money and given my 2year old daughter spray paint and it would have turned out better,I highly don't recommend them unless you wanna waste time and money. read more

Brought my car after a minor front end collision. When I picked it up the fuel gauge was not working and it had a check engine light; they said the check engine light was due to low fuel and it would go away after refueling(the car was dropped off with half a tank of fuel). This did not happened and the car was taken back; they replaced the fuel pump and told me the issue was fixed. Marcos and his team went above and beyond and even washed my car which was just mind blowing to me. I wasn't able to pick up my car right away so he let me pick it up as soon as I was able to which I really appreciated. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and made me feel as if I've known them for years. I have already brought in two of my vehicles- one vehicle for a collision and the other was for a vandalism claim. I recently also brought in my Range Rover for some work and my vehicle looks as good as new! They never disappoint. I can't complain about their customer service either. Their receptionist was very helpful in answering my questions regarding insurance claims and Alex, the owner, does a great job of communicating with you throughout the process of the repairs. If you don't mind being lied to, having your vehicle held hostage, and being avoided when you call to see how things are going with your repairs, then this is the place for you. No, really, we own a transport business and we brought one of our vans here. We were given an estimate, which was later changed and they never even discussed the change with us. Then they held our van for 5 days. Every time we called to check the status, we were told someone would call us back. No one ever did. After 5 days we finally got someone on the phone and they told us that the only thing that had done was the removal of the van doors. We told them to just give us our van back so we can take it elsewhere and they want to charge us to put the doors back on. This place is absolutely ridiculous. read more

They always help my mother when she or her husband get into accidents or fender benders. So I decided to give them my business. They were the most helpful and understanding people I have ever came across when dealing with an Autobody shop. I Had to save almost a year for my deductible and the Autobody shop employees were super understanding of my situation meanwhile my insurance on the other hand were complete jerks. Even so everyone one at the bodyshop did a fantastic job dealing with said jerks, They let me know what to expect, why a price was a certain way and how long theoretically it would take to fix my car. They gave me updates as they were fixing my car, fighting my insurance while keeping up to date on the current progress or set back, plus they even replaced the battery to my keys when I asked the day I dropped off my car. Another amazing thing they did for me was help me find new insurance which they were 100% did not need to do but yet they went the extra mile. 10/10 recommend. read more

First of all when I brought my van in I expected a few hundred dollars max for the damage I caused my spoiler. The fact that they came back with almost a thousand dollar estimate had me a little irritated since they didn't even bother to try and look at any of the damage. They just wanted to replace everything that they saw with their naked eye. What a rip off. I went around the corner and paid three hundred for someone that actually looked and didn't want to replace everything. I will never go back to this place and I would not recommend to anyone. All they see is dollar signs. I guess if you wanted everything to be new then knock yourself out, but money is too hard to come by. read more

This place is a joke, ZERO stars if possible I brought my vehicle there and they said insurance claim or not, that was their first question, basically saying they want to get the most money out of you possible, bad practice. Then they went on to say they would contact me within 72 hours and if they didn't for me to contact them. I called 4 days later stating I didn't get a response and they stated the person I dealt with was most likely on vacation. The employee in question was not on vacation and answered the phone stating this is a company vehicle and he needed to change the name on the form. I told the employee I gave him all the info from the beginning and he should have submitted that‍. After giving the employee all the info he already had again 5 more days passed and I called and he said "Is this an insurance claim?" At that time I explained that me nor anyone I know will be getting work done at that shop. It takes a lot for me to trust who works on our cars. All my life, I've only went to one body shop for the best service. The pandemic caused so many delays in parts shipping so most body shops including my go-to were booked months out. After reaching out to Manteca Auto Body for my GMC repair they were able to accept my SUV immediately. I was nervous, to say the least but I needed the process of repair to start ASAP. Of course parts were delayed but this was not the body shops fault. Manteca Auto Body's owner and mechanics stayed in constant communication with me as the repairs were trivial. They made me feel safe and earned my trust. The team went (literally) above and beyond to assist us during the process, and even when our insurance company would no longer cover rental expenses due to parts delays, they stepped in and made sure we were taken care of until all repairs were complete. I took my car 2 times due to the fact a lady hit me in my front bumper and they never fixed it right I even talked to Alex the manager which didn't make any difference. They left a shitty paint job and my bumper half way down. The 2nd time around they just pulled my bumper up but didn't touch the paint job. If I could I wouldnt leave any stars. This place just wants money but doesn't want to do their job right. I went to Manteca Auto Body a few months back for a quote after an accident. I had a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and was told that I needed to pay my $500 deductible right then and now or they wouldn't even give the quote to AAA. I told them I didn't have it and he said, he could take half now and I could pay the other half on Friday. Also, that the $500 will go towards repairs there. I figured they were going to do the repairs...So, I paid them $250 and as he just ran the credit card and we were signing he tells me " just so you know your insurance will most likely damage out your vehicle because it is too old." I said to him then why did I just pay you if your not going to do the repairs. He told me "if they damage it out, you will get your money back." He also said that they could credit back my card when we find out what AAA is going to do. That was not the case! AAA did damage it out and Manteca Auto Body did NOT refund my money. They changed their story saying that the $250 was for the quote that they did. When I went back there was now a white piece of paper on the manager's door saying we charge up to $350 for quotes. That was not there a few days before. I was there with my son in law in lobby for about an hour while he did the quote. I get it that they are tying to run a business and make money, but I have never come across a body shop that charged for a quote. If they didn't want to do it because my insurance was going to damage it out, or if my vehicle was too old, or they were too busy. Then just say that and refer me to another Auto Body Shop.
