It's not the best Peruvian in the area and honestly deserves a 3.5/5 but I'm rounding to a 4 for the review. The 4pc Half Chicken Combo is a decent deal for the price point. The chicken is moist, well-seasoned, and pretty tasty. The garden rice isn't authentic as far as I know; every Peruvian spot will offer some form of rice & beans but unfortunately that's not an option here. They also serve this with an orange spicy sauce (aji amarillo) which was spicy, tangy, and a bit smoky. I'm surprised it doesn't come with the classic green sauce most Peruvian chicken places offer. I would also love if the Combo came with 2 half sides. Instead, I ordered Fried Sweet Bananas which were delicious but overly greasy and drenched in oil to the point where it was leaking out of 2 bags. The Beef Lomo Soltado is savory, tangy, and slightly smoky. The beef was pretty tender but the fries were so soggy. I almost wish they serve it separately for delivery so it can maintain some crispiness. The white rice pairs well with this since it soaked up all the delicious flavor from the beef, tomatoes, and onions. Not the best in the area but decent try!

The seasoning was just right, and the crispy skin added the perfect touch. The side of fries and rice complemented the chicken beautifully, making for a well-balanced and satisfying meal. Best option is to parking with your hazards on and have someone run in for you. Highly recommend!

Located on Kennedy Blvd this White Castle location has both inside seating and drive thru service. They even have a window inside to show you as the burgers are being created. Known for the small burgers with the steamed buns and the ketchup pickles and diced onions. I chose mine with cheese. But one bite and it took me back to my childhood. These soft and fluffy buns make the burgers almost melt in your mouth when you bite them. Reminiscent to a hot off the oven Krispy Kreme doughnut these White Castle burgers are addictive. So ordering one is never an option. Had to grab the combo which came with 4 burgers, fries and a soda. Fries were solid but the star here are always the burgers or sliders (however you want to describe them). They are delicious and if you've never tried White Castle you are missing out. Don't hesitate and give them a try. I may or may not be stopping by on my way home to grab a box of them burgers to take back with me.

There are some good hole-in-the-wall pizza joints and some GREAT hole-in-the-wall pizza joints…read more This place fell into the "great" category and was actually one of the few times where I did NOT look at Yelp's reviews of a business prior to coming here. And this is none other than "Tom's Delicious Pizza". Located directly on Summit Ave (and tucked in between 17th St/18th St) in the heart of Union City, NJ, this small pizza business has been dishing out mouth watering pizza (by the whole pie or the slice) dating back to 1998 (according to their website). Best of all, they have very generous hours of operation being open Monday-Saturday from 11am-10pm and Sunday from 12-10pm. I came here during the evening of Monday 10/13/2025 at around 6pm. Since it was a cool, windy autumn day, I wanted to find something in close proximity to my Airbnb. This part of Union City is fairly easy to get to (foot, car, transit, etc.) and doesn't get too busy. However, the inside is very small with only a few seats to enjoy your pizza. Their menu is quite extensive for being such a small place. They carry traditional and unique pizzas (in various sizes) as well as wings, fries, tenders, mozzarella sticks, hot dogs, burgers, pasta, and even seafood! However, my lady and I were just craving a piping hot pizza (by the slice) and this place absolutely satisfied our cravings! The guys that worked behind the counter were great as I ordered a slice of their "Chicken & Bacon" while my lady went with a slice of "Pepperoni". Prices here are very reasonable as my slice was only $4 while hers was $3. Once our slices were ready, we proceed to sit down, add our mozzarella & Italian seasoning, and were ready to indulge. I have got to say that this place is legit amazing. Some people say that this best pizza is in NYC but New Jersey is also up there at the top. The slices here are a traditional thin while they did not skimp on the toppings. And the crust had that amazingly consistent texture; buttery, crispy, and absolutely heavenly. All in all, "Tom's Delicious Pizza" is not only delish but the service, prices, portion, selection, and nostalgia of this place made it feel as if I was in an old school neighborhood pizza parlor. And if you just happen to be in Union City, NJ (which is roughly a 15-minute drive to NYC), definitely give them a try. With that said and done, I am giving this small business a perfect five-star rating.

I'm always searching for an excellent place for pizza delivery. Tom's has great reviews all around,…read moreso I was excited to give it a try. I ordered simply - a large pepperoni pizza. It was delivered fairly quickly on bike and arrived in good condition. The pizza itself was very average. Average crust, average flavor, and A LOT of average pepperoni that appeared to be mostly uncooked (it almost seemed like they put the pepperoni on after the pizza came out of the oven?) Tom's seems a reliable neighborhood pizza spot, but not a destination.

Of course, I was drawn to anything spicy. The spicy mash burger was sooo good. I can't even remember what was on it cause I just kept shoving it in my mouth for more and more. Jalapenos, some spicy sauce, a mashed burger, plus I inserted some of their tasty spicy fries inside the sandwich. Ugh, so good. The fries are addicting here. Even if you don't tolerate spicy good well, you might love them and there's something that keeps you coming back for more and more. After placing an order, I ran over to the free video games and played a round of Street Fighter 2 championship edition. Wow, memories. Crazy that I still remember the moves. Food came out fast though, so only time for one round. There's plenty of seating and prices are quite reasonable. Definitely check it out!!

It has the look and feel (and name!) of so many other burger/shake/hot chicken places out there... a few retro arcade games, the signature sauce, the self-ordering kiosk at the front, the understaffed crew behind the counter trying to keep up with the lunchtime rush, you name it. The overall verdict: they didn't skimp on the portions, the food ranged from good/decent (French fries and diced cubes of chicken) to not-as-good (mac and cheese was a major fail, the vegetarian patty was over $2 more than the beef and was only saved thanks to being drowned in that sauce of theirs). For about $20 a person (their 'combo meal') it felt wildly overpriced for (standard) fast food but probably on-par for Hoboken in general. Although it wasn't a great experience - I'm happy that they're here to break up the monotony of the stuffy high-brow places (with names like "Karma Kafe") littering Washington Ave.
