My mother worked for White Castle for over 20+ years...this location is so unprofessional it's disgusting....they are ALWAYS OUT OF EVERYTHING...they change the whenever they feel...it's suppose to be 24 hours but at a certain they only allow you to order what's easy for Cheeseburgersthem...the staff is always short and rude...by far the worst location I've ever been too.

I was looking for something to eat and found a White Castle; wow, I've never been to a White Castle maybe I should check it out. This White Castle is New Jersey Smart plus menu items have cheese atop, I'm surprised the order taker didn't have cheese on his head. The place is clean because there's no other customers. The noncheese Chicken Rings and Onion Rings faired well wile I fought I'd return.

As far as I can remember, this is my first time visiting this White Castle location. I stopped by to get a quick meal with my husband and to get a Crave Case for an event later that day for the big boxing fight. I had some coupons and experienced no trouble using them. One of them was for a buy one, get one on any #1-6 White Castle meal. The cashier informed me that I could mix and match but I stuck with the classic #1 (original burger, fries/onion rings and drink) and asked for the burgers with cheese and no pickles. I also ordered the new veggie burger with honey mustard sauce. My food was ready about 4-5 minutes later and everything was fresh and warm. My husbands burgers did not have pickles in them as I had ordered, but my batch of burgers still had pickles. I picked them out so it was not a big deal, but definitely inconvenient. Our fries and onion rings were fresh and hot! The veggie burger was okay (kinda smushy) and the sauce helped give it flavor. When we ordered our Crave Case, they got the order correct. They were pickle-free!! We also used a $3 coupon on them and there were no problematic issues using it. I observed that others were also using coupons for their meals too. The cashier helped to explain the coupons to the other customers because they couldn't understand the language on it. He also went above and beyond by helping advise on family orders when they wanted to buy a package deal but didn't know how to come up with one that was affordable. He was very friendly and accommodating! The customers in front of me were not easy, yet somehow, he was able to keep everything together. I also like this White Castle because it doesn't have bulletproof glass like the location at Journal Square in Jersey City. The place appears to be clean and well-maintained. They offer excellent customer service and really appear to be happy to help out their customers.

    Yummmm!

I know everyone from the East Coast says this is better than In N Out, but it isn't because the two aren't comparable. White Castle is a different type of burger joint, but it's still delicious. I found myself wanting one a few weeks after I returned to LA. Definitely, a late night snack... Actually, I'm still thinking about those damn delicious little baby burgers...MMMM....

I won't leave a long review, but I'm gonna share a few thoughts from my frequent visits: The food is fantastic. I honestly prefer Marty's to its closest major chain comparison, Shake Shake. It's all so delicious and picture perfect every time; a feast for the belly and the eyes. Recently, a new competitor showed up in town (Smash and Zingers). I gave them a fair chance, ordering twice and trying different items, but I wasn't very impressed. My latest order with them sealed the deal that I will be going back to Marty's as my main local burger spot. My only gripe is that the fries can be a bit soggier than I like. Was hoping they'd fix that over time, but it's yet to be addressed.

The ambiance of the place is always laidback - kind of a beach town vibe. I would say the only room for improvement I would recommend is changing their entire French Fries system. I've ordered from both this location and the other JC location and almost every time they Fries are a disappointment. They're always soggy and just overall not good. In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout Jersey City and specifically the Heights, I made my way to Fox And Crow. Like Corkscrew Bar, I've had this on my bookmark list since I started visiting my friend a few years ago when she moved out here. I always loved a neighborhood bar (sports in this case) that also served food (and live entertainment, too!) so I could hang out with the local people. Would I have anything to crow about, or would I be as sly as a fox and just sneak on by!? PURCHASE Brunch Spicy Bloody Mary ($8.00): I wasn't a huge bloody mary fan (I was traumatized by V8 tomato juice growing up), but it just sounded good on this particular day. It was a fairly simple straightforward cocktail that lacked the elaborate bells and whistles that could be found on Instagram... and I was fine with that. The spiciness nicely cut some of the tomato juice taste which was a plus, the celery stalk was lip, I wished thee wee oe olives, the lemon wedge seemed to serve no purpose, and I felt there was too much ice. It was decent, but I think I filled my quota for the year. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=YAXNZzbwBxhsZXoH9n98SA [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 3.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($7.00): A small basket with eight rings of various sizes, these were hot, darkly browned, crunchy, and had a tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (not sweet Maui) also broke apart. The side of crispy dark brown fries were nicely seasoned. I was done after this monstrosity. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=VTHNI0LbZCHveZBwk9FwmQ SERVICE I arrived an hour before their weekend brunch ended. I was quickly greeted by a friendly gentleman behind the bar and was immediately met by a nice woman with menus who allowed me to sit wherever. I easily placed my order as everything arrived perfectly spaced out. My server cleared away any empties, and I never felt rushed to leave once I paid. All was good - thanks! PARKING (Street; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 20-minute walk from my friend's place. Great choice! I didn't get much of the jalapeño in the first bite, and could agree that the jalapeños and its accompanying sauce could be spread out a bit more, but i finally got a bite of the jalapeños towards the center and it was delicious. My bf loves their loaded fries, but i'm content with their bare fries. 7th Street's regular fries have a consistent and familiar crispy to them that i'll always enjoy. i'm not a big burger person, but they've managed to perfect the ultimate greasy burger. the new app was fairly easy to use, and streamlined the ordering process, making it efficient and easy for all. no more awkward blank stares or pauses at the menu when making your order with the cashier haha. it may not be part of their plan, but i would love to see a deluxe option in the near future, consisting of lettuce, tomatoes, and etc.

You walk into 7th Street Burger expecting hype. And let's be honest -- when a Manhattan "favorite"…read moremultiplies into a dozen locations, skepticism is healthy. Expansion can water things down. Quality can slip. Legends can fade. Not here. I hit the Hoboken, New Jersey location and let me tell you something -- a true smash burger is rare. Everyone thinks they're doing it. Few actually are. There's a difference between a thin burger... and a properly smashed, lacy-edged, griddle-seared masterpiece. The menu? Almost aggressively simple. Single or double. Fries or no fries. That's it. And when the product is this good, why complicate it? Everything cooked to order. The patty smashed paper-thin, developing that deep, crispy crust while somehow -- almost disrespectfully -- staying juicy inside. That contrast is the entire point of a smash burger, and they nail it. This isn't just a burger pressed flat. This is technique. And the fries? Piping hot. Golden. The kind you grab immediately and burn your fingertips because waiting is not an option. But here's the part that made it hit differently: introducing my son to his first real smash burger. There's something about watching that first bite -- that moment when he realizes burgers don't have to be thick and overworked to be great. His standards just changed forever. There's no going back now. That also means I'm in trouble...because there isn't a decent smash burger anywhere close to where we live :-/ Some places chase trends. Some places perfect one thing and dare you to question it. 7th Street Burger keeps it simple -- and absolutely nails it.

Even 20-plus years ago, when I'd occasionally become nostalgic for a fast-food burger and order one, I invariably regretted it. But I did order from 30 Burgers a few days ago while working in Hoboken, when a co-worker (the new Godfather of Lunch) suggested ordering food and having it delivered. Usually, I would have said no. But I was suffering a migraine that particular day, the medication I take for it was having an adverse effect on me (as it sometimes will; it stops headache pain but makes me feel overall like shite) and I thought food might help settle my nausea and upset stomach. Even the erstwhile Godfather of Lunch joined us in ordering (like me, he's on a diet and it's proving effective), saying, "You people are forcing me to do this," or words to that effect. Nothing like peer pressure! I ordered the Turkey Royal Burger, which sounded simultaneously healthy and decadent. A turkey burger with a fried egg on it (it has been so long since I've indulged in eggs that I think that's what decided me on this), turkey bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. Along with it, I ordered a side of seasoned fries, and what initially started as a medium vanilla milkshake (I try to allow myself ice cream or an ice cream-based product only once a month). The former Godfather said, "You've come this far; you might as well go all the way." I wanted to reply, "You're forcing me to do this," as I agreed and signaled the new Godfather to place an order for the large vanilla milkshake, along with the other stuff I wanted. The food arrived pretty promptly, and the price seemed...at least to someone unused to ordering fast food...relatively reasonable. I can't remember what my co-workers ordered, but I was sorta "meh" about the whole experience. The burger was probably the best part of it. It was a large, sloppy mess, but that was satisfying to the latent glutton that I can never entirely exorcise from my psyche. And I have to say that the turkey bacon actually did taste like bacon. The fries were less satisfying, less tasty. Maybe it would have made a difference if we had actually sat down in the restaurant and ate them while they were still hot, but...despite the promptness of the delivery...they were, at best, semi-warm, and pretty tasteless. There were plenty of them, and I ended up disposing of a goodly portion (I don't like throwing away food, but I wasn't going to take them home, and I figured better they wind up in the garbage can than on my waistline or in my arteries). And the milkshake? Another co-worker ordered a medium sized milkshake and my "large" had perhaps only a half inch more of space involved in it. Which meant it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference if I had ordered a medium or a large. It was sweet, and thoroughly drinkable (if not especially tasty), but I regretted that I had used my monthly allotment of ice cream (or milkshake) for this. Oh well...chalk it up to experience! Final verdict? Not great, not bad. They have a lot of variety when it comes to burgers, and if you're into the "fast food" version, this place might rate high on your list. But, speaking purely for myself, if I do get a hankering for a cheeseburger and fries (and it does happen occasionally), I think I'll just stop at a diner or even a regular restaurant in order to indulge that urge. As far as I'm concerned, 30 Burgers is just ok.
