Right after installation, my gas bill jumped from $30 to $350 a month for several months. Three different technicians came out before they finally found a defective part in the new furnace. I kept asking the owner what exactly was wrong, but no one ever gave a clear answer -- they don't seem to communicate with each other at all. Most recently, a tech left my furnace running but disconnected from the thermostat. It blew loud nonstop air for 12 hours, making it impossible to sleep or stay in my house. The owner ignored my calls and texts. Very disappointing. This company clearly does not care about their customers or their comfort.

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

Also had them replace the wood trim around the top of this zero clearance fireplace. It took about two weeks for the fabrication of the new stainless steel chase cover. This wasn't an easy install, 28' up on a 8/12 pitched roof. David, the project manager showed up with two workers and got the job done in about five hours. They did a great job, removed old chase and wood trim around the top, installed new chase, wood trim and painted all new material to match existing house color. I had three other chimney companies come out and give bids, none really seemed interested in doing this job, all were looking for masonry work or a bigger project. I would use this company again for any type of chimney repair work.

I opened up the cover for the refrigerant pipes coming from the ceiling to the unit and discovered a mouse nest. The mice had come from the attic through the conduit created when a hole was cut in the ceiling. The mice ate the wiring in the unit and the piping in the unit making all of the system unusable. Guy named Sam came to my house for a chimney care estimate and air duct cleaning. Lied to me about…read moremy chimney having emergent issues and rushed me to pay him $3000 for repairs, and additional $1000 for air duct cleaning (an estimation based on the price of $69 per vent), and lied about me needing to pay $15,000 later if not having him repair it immediately. Multiple inspections show that my chimney only needs a cap, a deep wash, and a replacement of flashing. For air duct clean, he appears to know nothing about it and gave this ridiculous price of $1000. I regret paying $200 to have him vacuum from my air inlet for less than 5 minutes using a tiny machine. Dishonest and unprofessional.
