Stopped by Mr. Chicken on the way home the other night because I had to feed 10 people in a hurry. Pizza would have taken too long and subs would have been pricey, so for $40, Mr Chicken met all the criteria. The chicken was cooked perfectly, was crispy, and delicious. The sides were yummy too. The only things I found lacking were the biscuits. They were small and dry compared to the competitor down the block, the almighty Colonel. Lazy employees who close almost an hour early and lie to PAYING customers! 48 min before they were supposed to closed we attempted to order through the drive thru. We waited and said hello repeatedly. We saw an employee dumping trash, so we waited, thinking they were understaffed or changed hours. After nothing for another 2 minutes two more employees appeared carrying trash. We attempted one more time to speak to the drive thru, all while the employees could hear us perfectly and never even looked up. We drove a few feet up and We asked if hours had changed or if they closed early. She said very shortly we are in the process of closing and walked off and completely ignored us. They were smoking and laughing, it wasn't an under staffing issue. They were flat out rude and lazy..... read more

This place is pretty clean which is usually the first thing I look at in a fast food joint before I even think about ordering. I came during a Friday evening and they were not busy, which was awesome because I was hungryyyyyy! The employees were nice and fast with our order so I had no complaints. There is a limited amount of tables for anyone wanting to dine in which didn't bother me at the time because there was a table available for my husband and I. The mashed potatoes didn't have much flavor so I wasn't that fond of it. The mac and cheese was cold when they handed it to us. And the chicken was lightly breaded and seasoned perfectly. read more

So with a name like Mr. Chicken, the chicken would have to be top notch. And it is. This is some of the best fried chicken around. A 9 piece family combo runs $21, and you get mashed potatoes with gravy and coleslaw. Also included is 4 biscuits. The mashed potatoes are the push button variety (instant). Gravy was good, if not on the thin side. Biscuits were a little too salty, but were the noms. Coleslaw very good. The store is clean, has a tiny eat-in area, and the employees were very friendly and attentive. Take note: if going south on Ridge, the local police like to hide behind this building. read more

This Mr. Chicken was a memorable experience for all the wrong reasons. I ordered (2) chicken sandwiches and while (1) was done in about 5 minutes, it sat in full view NOT under any form of heat for 15 MINUTES while the second was being prepared. I watched while they simply put the cold sandwich in the bag with the fresh/warm one, I refused to accept the order as delivered and thus had to wait ANOTHER 5 minutes for another one. 20 minutes later I finally walk out with (2) chicken sandwiches, never again. Deeelish. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The biscuit was fluffy and warm and they have real honey packets unlike other places. I love their coleslaw so I substituted the mashed for another coleslaw. The staff was pleasant and friendly. It was 8:30pm so I was debating on whether to go to KFC or Mr. Chicken but truthfully KFC is almost always a disappointment. My fiance and I happen to be in the area so we decided to grab some chicken. He hasn't had eaten Mr. Chicken in almost 20 yrs but I recently had some in Akron and it was amazing. Unfortunately that was the case this time around! Order a meal for 4 & 6 pc fish dinner. 1st they forgot my biscuits but gave me the butter and honey I requested for them, go figure. 2nd the lg mash wasn't full and the "manager" Nicholas proceeded to argue with me that it was, I guess my eyes were lying to me, oh a he also had the audacity to basically tell me that he didn't believe anything I was saying to him! Not quite done, the "fish dinner" are you kidding me! The pieces were so small that it shouldn't be called a dinner. They were the size of chicken nuggets. As far as the fries were concerned, those were a cold gloppy that I ended up throwing away! Like I told that so called manger, if I was trying to make something up I would've complained about the chicken as well, but I didn't, or I would've complained about the Mac and Cheese and how completely bland it tasted. But I told him that I ordered it so unfortunately that one is on me not them. I feel as if I completely wasn't $37 and these days I'm not in the position to be doing so! My experiences with mr chicken have been mostly good. The only problems I have had here is the time it takes to receive my meals. The food has always been delicious, the three piece dinners, the mashed potato bowls, the snack boats and the fried liver was tasty as well! Pretty tasty but also a little pricey in my opinion. Disgusting! Went to Mr Chicken because the line at KFC was around the building and into the street...got 3 pieces of chicken and a biscuit and 3 hot wings = $12. There was blood oozing out of the chicken and the hot wings were actually dry wi GS dumped in a bag of BBQ sauce...they were terrible. The chicken strips were so salty I could not even eat them. I ordered two cookies with my order and did not get them. I was never asked what type of sauce with my chicken strips, I had to ask for sauce and she proceeded to go back and get me the poorest excuse for ranch with chicken strips. A tiny foam cup with about a quarter inch of ranch. ( I put this right into the trash as this is not a trusting way of presenting sauce at a drive thru) and the girl at the drive thru had a real attitude problem. read more

Had the grand kids over last Friday night and decided to stop at Mr. Chicken located at Pearl & Ridge in Parma, OH. I ordered the Picnic Pack, but when I got home you would have thought I ordered a wing dinner - I could not believe the number of wings I had in my dinner (which counted toward the total piece count) and how small the wings were.....I must say I was surprised since other times I had stopped I did not have this problem. When I buy Mr. Chicken next time, I think I will give another location a try. read more
