Visited Uncle Abe's recently to try some sandwiches based on a recommendation by a relative. On this visit, I called ahead to request a corned beef sammich as well as a Nephew Burger that resembles a Romanburger. Upon arrival I paid for the sandwiches and ate them in my car. The corned beef sandwich was excellent. If you love corned beef, you'll love this sandwich. The nephew burger was also delicious. I think it could use a little more onion and a little more Italian dressing, so I'll request extra next time. There will be a next time! read more

I have to say that the chicken at Uncle Abe's is simply amazing. Outstanding flavor. They have a "Wednesday" deal but just be warned that they give you a few teeny wings, two legs and a few breast pieces and the flavor is outstanding. Unfortunately, they're menu board indicates that one of their side dishes in "mashed potatoes and gravy" but then they tell you that the gravy is "extra." Equally unfortunate is that the mashed potatoes should be called liquid potatoes and not mashed as they literally poured like a liquid out of the container and a large size is really small. read more

I am handycapped standing in pain. I walked up to the order counter and waited. A moment later Abe told me to step back while he finishes another order. So I sat on a chair and waited. When it was my turn, I started ordering. Then I ask for green beans which I know he had when first opened. His responce was no. I ask what veggies he had his responce was "Sir can you step back and read the menu while I wait on another customer" instead of telling me what few veggies he had. In pain I didnt want to step back and try to find his veggie section in the menu then wait my turn again. Very RUDE. read more

You can tell the place is still new & trying to fix the kinks in their system so I will be nice & polite. The good thing is they don't have to fix their food. The chicken tenders / strips were amazing. Very juices & tender. Would definitely recommend!! The Mozzarella Sticks were a great add-on for the price. All & all, their prices are amazing for their food & portion sizes. While they did take a while to get my order, it had more to do with their orders being more of a first come, first serve even if you order via phone. So the person in front of me got chicken tenders & they only had 2 tenders left so they made a fresh batch. I am not complaining bc I'd rather wait 10min for fresh ones than those that have been in their heater basket for 20+ minutes. Ordered four thighs and two chicken breasts to go. The size weren't more than three bites of meat and the breasts were on the tough side. Neither piece of meat had much flavor whatsoever! Paid $18 iand threw away half of it because it was not tasty. Was not my first time there but definitely my last! This is no frills straight up takeout. The ambiance is clean but very sparse and datedThere's one four top table. Since I've never been here before I tried a few things. The shrimp, the broasted chicken, the catfish dinner and the side salad. The only thing missing that would make this place better would be adding greens to their menu. It would have complimented the catfish, hush puppy and shrimp dinner very well. The staff is friendly, still finding their groove. If you order at the counter, there's about a 15-minute wait. Most things are made to order, I would recommend calling your order in ahead. It was a Friday before 5:00 and they only had three people working. It's hard to find reasonably priced good fried chicken in Cleveland. I've had catfish and chicken all over the country, and Uncle Abe's does a really good job. These were two of the biggest pieces of catfish I've ever seen. Well cooked, fresh, but the breading was very salty. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and not rubbery. And the chicken was excellent. Not a fan of this place. Got chicken there 2x and both times it tastes burnt. Jo Jo's have grease burnt flavor too. Just yuck. Workers just not friendly. My family and I were looking for a new place to try and stumbled upon this restaurant! It's about 10 minutes from our place and just a locally owned place in Parma. If you're lookin for a place that you can get quick food, at a good price, and served fast this is the place for you. It's nothin big, small waiting area, but the staff is friendly and personable. I'll definitely be back to order from here as the chicken tenders were DELICIOUS/HUGE-- my kids were in awe of them. We definitely plan to make this place a regular take out place. read more

Usually don't write reviews because I'm a lazy POS but uncle Abe's is just that damn good to write a little bit. Got the chicken sammich and an order of rings. Wish I would've took pictures before hand but this damn sammich was bigger than the container it was in. At least 1 pound of chicken inbetween a toasted buttery bun with da works. Onion, tomato, lettuce, mayo, and you GOTTA get da pickles !!! Inhaled that sammich faster than I could imagine. Rings were cooked to perfection. Usually when you bite into a ring the whole damn onion comes out the breading with it. Not sure what type of sorcery is going on behind the counter but every damn ring I bit into was crispy crunchy and packed full of flava. The place looked and felt like a nice cozy sammich shop. Nothing like these stupid chain fast food places , because this place ain't a fast food joint! But the food was prepared faster than most of them places you see on every corner nowadays. The clerk(assuming he's the owner) was super nice, laid back, and cool as hell. Wasn't overly nice or any weird shi- he was real and that's what most people want. A real store owner with real cooks.
