I usually get the candied bacon from West Side Market but was in the area and bought a pound from them yesterday. It have never had candied bacon so spicy before. It is nearly impossible for me to eat and I've had candied bacon from this place many many times. Hopefully it is just too much spice in one batch but it really wrecked nearly $17 in bacon!!

I stopped into Dionne's to get a ham steak for a meal I planned to prepare and I got more than just the meat! Hahaha The customer service here is TOP NOTCH! They offered to prepare the ham steak for me which cut down considerably on my prep time and they were happy to talk to me about the different types of meat they have there and make suggestions. I also ended up purchasing some of their bacon and my hubby and I still talk about how good it is! What particularly struck me about Dionne's is how modern and clean the store is! The decor is a rustic and modern blend that is warm and inviting. They also have a small area where you can grab condiments and other pre-packaged products like bbq sauces and other various items. If you're looking for a local meat shop with fantastic service, don't sleep on Dionne's!

The sausage was okay. The meat I got for city chicken was grey and smelled funky so I threw it out.

Very unimpressed. Seems like things are old. I bought a whole chicken. It was the worst thing ever. Dry and horrible. Won't go back.

We always went there at the market for poultry. When COVID happened we decided to go straight to the store. They never disappoint

Much bigger than it looks from outside. There's a lot to look through in this small store so take some time. A favorite section is the beer. It all is located in a small refrigerated section. There's all kinds of unfamiliar sounding beers so you aren't going to find cans of Natty Lite or shit like that. Beer of this quality here is pretty cheap. There's a few large bottles for about $2, and these are pretty large. Besides the beer they also have lots of coffee and pop. They have some varieties that you can't find anywhere else like it seems. Among the food is lots and lots of candy. It's about $2 for a good size bag and there's lots to choose from. The ingredients are in different languages but includes English too. It even has a produce section and the fruits and vegetables look fresh. They have a very large deli section. Cool place for getting European food. It can be hard to find because it's hard to see. This is in the shopping plaza that's at the corner of State and Pleasant Valley.
