Classy Italian restaurant with good happy hour deals. The rigatoni pasta was unfortunately a really small portion, but it was delicious. The texture of the pasta was perfectly al dente and the meat sauce was just amazing. The focaccia margherita was absolutely to die for, it was huge for an appetizer. The crust was crispy, and the cheese was melted with the tomato sauce. I definitely recommend. The staff were incredibly attentive, and sitting outside during the summer made happy hour so fun. It's a bit expensive, but worth a try.

Mathias ultimate best service and Mario the boss man, super cool guy. Will definitely be back. Extensive happy hour, food and drinks. All executed perfectly. Celebrated daughter's birthday with her young professional working friends in NYC. Super happy and had a great night. Nice and cozy, romantic, homey, and above and beyond service. Will be back soon!

We just arrived in New York and were looking for a cute spot near our apartment in Greenwich Village. We found one on Yelp and were on our way there when we passed by Mr. Capri. It immediately caught our eye with its European-style outdoor seating and great happy hour menu, so we thought--okay, we have to try this place out! First of all, the guy who served us was super nice--very detail-oriented and genuinely helpful with his meal suggestions. The pasta took a little while to prepare, but it was 100% worth it. Absolutely delicious, and the whole experience was amazing. We even tagged them on Instagram, and they replied right away. That's exactly how a business should be run! Thank you guys, we will come back.

Great food. Fantastic service. I highly recommend this restaurant in NYC. Ambiance and music is perfect

I usually don't write reviews but I just think the manager and the waitress deserves this review. I wish that I could have grabbed their names. The restaurant was hosting a birthday party. So it was noisy which we didn't mind at all. But the manager and waitress were super nice about it. And they apologized, Which of course we appreciated. The attention was great. The drinks were definitely so good. And the food was really good as well. We ordered a margarita pizza and a few drinks. I definitely recommend the centrelle drink . Which it had celery root puree. I loved it. It was my fav drink. But I will mostly come back for their customer service 10/10 and their food as well. Thank you so much for everything. We appreciate it. :)

Incredible service by the waitstaff, bartender & manager. Delicious food, we got the smoked burrata special and eggplant Parmesan as appetizers, followed by delicious pasta as the main courses and ended with ice cream.

Had the best time here after stumbling upon it after dinner! Sat at the bar with a friend and the drinks were amazing. The celery root drink is so interesting and good, it's shocking to think there's any alcohol in it. Espresso martini was perfect and so was the spicy marg. Bartender was fantastic and everyone we met was amazing including the owner. 10/10 experience can't wait to go back and eat!

Stellar, Stellare, marvelous, meraviglioso - there's the English to Italian translation for you Duo Lingo lovers, for this amazing establishment! Look, it's no surprise that New York has the most Italian dining outside of the country itself, so competition is fierce here. Restaurant Week promotions were coming out and being the first year that I moved to New York, I gathered the gals for a fun Tuesday night dinner. After researching and narrowing down new places, we decided on Mr. Capri. The way they presented themselves portrayed a very family like, intimate and creative ambiance with authentic food, from the island cuisine of beautiful Capri. I arrived earlier than my gfs (not usual) and sat at the (very lovely) bar for a glass of white wine, with quant and kind service. Upon arrival of the group, we sat in the main dining area where both large and small groups were dining and very obviously, having a great time. The space is cozy and not huge but definitely a great setup. The service was great and our waiter was friendly and prompt, and we went with the pre-fixe menu options from RW. What we ordered: Apps: - Parmigiana di melenzane (three cheese baked eggplant, SO YUM) - Caprese (buffalo mozarella salad) - Polipetti alla Luciana (octopus stew, crositini) Mains: - I got the Ziti alla Genovese (lamb shank, ricotta and ribbon pasta) DELICIOUS. - Friends all got the Trancio di pesce spada (swordfish) which they ate all! Desserts we got the flourless cake and the sorbet, which I finished as well. The drinks were wonderful and we got cosmos (so italian) and the bartender came to make sure the drinks were satisfactory, so cute! They were indeed (we had a few, haha) I don't usually eat all my courses down to the crumbs, but we all did here. Everything was fantastic and we only paid $60 + tax + tip for all of it, unreal! They also have brunch deals and RW will be going through Feb, so I DEFINITELY recommend you come here. I think I'll be coming back. They also have a sister restaurant (Bocca) that has great reviews for Roma style cuisine. grazie MILLE la Capri, I feel a bit more ready to go to the real location this summer. Also, I'll be working out extra hard today for all the indulgence! Ciao!

Amazing staff & phenomenal food. Very attentive. They have an awesome happy hour. Amazing handcrafted cocktails like celery juice with gin- ahhh mazing. We tried all the pastas from the happy hour- delicious. I felt like I was back in Italy. And don't forget to get dessert. Cannolis were to die for.

We came in for dinner on a Thursday night and the place was packed so definitely recommend reservations. The place has a cool vibe and bright white aesthetics that make you feel like you're in the Mediterranean. We ordered the prosciutto e burrata to start, this was a great combination of crispy fried burrata and the salty prosciutto. I went with the pasta special which was fresh pasta, tomato, and cheese, this was simple but tasted fresh and delicious. My friend had the zitti allá Genovese, she enjoyed it but I thought my pasta was better. For dessert we had the torta Caprese, so good! The food and service were really good but it's very overpriced. The appetizers are basically the same price as an entrée in most places.

Restaurant interior truly transports you back to the Amalfi coast from the decor to music to food itself. Really enjoyed this experience. Brunch food clearly Not their speciality but still a nice spot

I've only been here once so far, and I'm ready to declare this my favorite Italian restaurant outside of Italy. The food here, in fact, is even better than most restaurants I've been to Italy. I know, bold claims, but wait till you try it. From the moment you step in, the decor is reminiscent of an Italian beach town, from the wood boarded floors and ceiling, to the colorful doors and details throughout. It's perfect for a date night or to take friends. My husband and I came here and started with the Polipetti alla Luciana (baby octopus) -- absolute must order. The red sauce is impeccable and rich, perfectly spiced. The octopus is beyond tender. Perfect to eat and clean the plate with bread. For mains, I ordered the Linguine alle Tre Vongole. This is often a risky choice in most restaurants, especially if the clams are not fresh. Not the case here. You could taste the quality. The seasoning was light so that the clams could shine. One of the best vongole pastas I've had both in and out of Italy, including better than the Michelin starred Le Sirenuse in Positano. My husband ordered the Ziti alla Genovese, which he said reminded him of his grandmother's cooking in Italy. We ended the night with the Delizia al Limone, but the real star at the end was their dessert special: the baba. It was served with a caramel sauce, chocolate cream, and soaked in rum. I'm so excited to come back here again. What a lovely addition to the neighborhood!

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. Later that night, another friend became available to join but, because they do not actually have a phone that takes calls (only offers an announcement to go to Resy or email) adding another person was not at all easy. I would have had to cancel and rebook and wasn't sure I'd be able to (reservation was for a Saturday night) In most places, a table for 3 easily accommodates 4. But not here. When two of us arrived, they made it clear this was a big problem. I would have walked out right then but I would have been charged $90! We decided to stay and make the best of it, which was a challenge. For a speakeasy, the vibe was aggressive, not relaxing. Very loud music and not great acoustics.) Too cramped to be comfortable, proving that small does not necessarily mean cozy! We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing. It was good to see my friends, but I so wish I hadn't picked this place. Never again.
