So began a horrible year of having both my kitchen and guest/sewing room being reconstructed. Meanwhile, racks of clothing and shelves of patterns, material, bed, pictures on the wall, and racks of thread were soaked. He blamed a faulty washer, but never showed it to me. I had to cancel my brother and his family visiting for Thanksgiving - after I had bought hundreds of dollars of food - my brother who I had not seen in a long time. A couple of months into restoration, the kitchen plumbing started to leak again, the day before I was to leave for a 2 week vacation. The pipes now make a bloop sound every half hour, or so. He claimed not to hear it, but his employees heard it. He's a slimy liar. When he called a few years later wanting to check and service the system, I put him off because I can't trust him. I live in constant fear that the whole thing is going to explode again. If I hadn't been there and wanted to show the contraption under the kitchen sink, it would've ruined the entire condo instead of a third of it - therefore, going away is fraught with fear of what might be happening in my home. He did not show sympathy, just slimy excuses, leaving me with a years-long horror show.

I contacted Lasco when my 20+ year old water softener stopped working. Their repair person arrived…read moreand without touching the equipment, told me it would need to be replaced. He did a water test and then wrote up several quotes that started at over $6K and exceeded $10K on the high side. I explained (and he saw) that the house was already plumbed with a working bypass and drain line. I also told him that their quotes were much higher than all the research I had done on replacement units. He told me they were " a bit more because they are a 'larger company' ". He also charged me the standard $100 service fee - So I essentially paid them for a "sales" call! I ordered a 48K grain system with 10% cross-linked resin and a Fleck 5600 control head for $750.00 from an online plumbing supply store with great reviews. I then ordered about $50 worth of water lines and a few PVC fittings. In 30 minutes it was hooked up and working perfectly. I am all for buying local. But I cannot comprehend what Lasco could put in their resin or what type of controller upgrade they can offer that justifies a price $5,000 more than I was able to obtain. There would be, at most, one or two hours of time needed for installation. I would encourage anyone needing a water softener to check around before agreeing to pay such an outrageous amount from Lasco. It upsets me when I imagine my parents or other vulnerable people believing these guys and agreeing to these crazy prices.

Very Professional, Courteous, and listened to what I said, that doesn't happen very often. I thought it was a problem with the venting, he didn't shut me out he said, yes that could be but it might be a clog in your line and he explained. And that is exactly what it was. He worked at it for about 2.5 hours, took up the toilet ran his camera down and found it. Very reasonable and fast, the clog was 27' at the end of the house. Thank You Zach!! I will be having them cover the whole house where they come out Spring / Fall to inspect my HVAC (they check the capacitors in the outside condenser unit wich not very many HVAC Tech check this. I know because I have been an electrician for 50+ years) and they check the water heater and descale if it needs it. Thank You Kellermeier Plumbing for not having one more thing to think about. During tearfout of old shower, my wife and I observed the old insulation, which KP failed to replace insulation on outside wall of shower, saying it was not necessary. A direct violation of the MI bldg code. He then sealed the drywall, claiming " there was none there anyway. Another lie. Kellermeir finished the job and sent an invoice that was materially higher than we had agreed to, without explanation. We are now in litigation, my home is not in Code and the Building Inspector forced Kellermeir to get a permit 10 months AFTER completion of job. They refuse to admit responsibility or correct the deficiency. They have lied from the start, causing extreme emotional distress and mental anguish. Do not trust this outfit.​
