The pizza with the gluten free cauliflower crust is the best we've ever had !!! Always friendly service and good atmosphere!!

Run of the mill local bar with average bar food. The waitress was friendly enough, but recommended a burger over a thin sliced ribeye on baguette. I thought this must be a special burger. Nope: 1/4 thick machine made frozen patty. Edible, but not remarkable. The pork BBQ on grilled cheese (Cuban sandwich type) was the best thing on the table and it paired well with yummy tomato bisque. That was the highlight. When I went to wash it down, the barmaid had swooped in to collect a beer that was still a half full bottle. Didn't try the wings, I heard they are good. Maybe next time, I might give it another shot, or just go to Doubledays across the street where the wings are A+. read more

Went in there to purchase tickets for Queen of Hearts drawing Sunday and the owner (Rick) was very rude to me. He insisted we order food before we bought any tickets. My husband ordered a sandwich platter and a drink and I got a coke. He got right in my face and said "Aren't you ordering anything" I said "No, I am with my husband" He said if you don't order -- you need to go outside to fill out your tickets and not take up my space..............Needless to say I did not leave my table and go outside as my husband was still eating. We will NEVER go back in there again and will pass the word how rudely we were treated. He said to us that he didn't make any money selling tickets, just on selling food........Well, why bother selling them and causing the traffic mess that he causes on Wednesday nites...... read more

Great atmosphere, food & fab bartenders! Went out for a birthday celebration. Stopped in for a quick snack. Their power salad with smoked chicken was out of this world! Thin sliced veggies...especially brussel spouts, beets, carrots...yumo! Bar staff was efficient & very pleasant. Great selection of craft beer & cocktails. Ordered the Buffalo Chicken flat bread pizza! Not good! No chicken . Only cheese wiz and ranch dressing. Great if you want to lose weight! However they were generous with the ice-tea, which tasted like instant, not brewed tea! This is a place to drink beer and to smoke cigarettes ! read more

We came in and sat at the bar - immediately approached and my dad got a beer while the rest of us looked over the menu. About 10 minutes later the bartender came back when I caught her attention, kind of set the tone for the rest of the time from there. I will say the food was delicious - buffalo chicken grilled cheese, pimento burger, smoked chicken sandwich and bbq chicken grills cheese were our 4 dishes and each of us really liked them. The chips they come with are out of a bag, not parmesan or anything special, and they do not allow any substitutions (shame, we would've paid extra for spiralized potatoes). Also, they do not allow children in after 3PM, totally fair, but inconvenient every one in awhile and just something to keep in mind! This is the first yelp review I have written.The only reason I am writing this is because of the nachos.Went here for lunch.Great atmosphere!Our waitress was nice too.Im giving this place three stars because of the food we ordered.The chicken nachos came out, and they did not melt the cheese.It was cold shredded cheese.I have never been somewhere and ordered nachos where they didn't melt the cheese.They were very dry,would 100% not ordered them again. Also, the power salad had WAY too much dressing.Citrus overkill.All in all I would go back and order something else..maybe we just got the wrong things...the beer menu looks good, and they have live music so I would go back for that. read more

Mr. Boro's is an awesome neighborhood tavern. The staff is wonderful, the drinks are tasty, and an awesome craft beer selection on tap. The food is amazing. Mr. Boro's Tavern is an excellent bar to go have a cold drink and a grilled cheese or flatbread. Their appetizers are great plus their soup. Their service is wonderful!! After having driven by the place several times to and from work, my wife and I decided to stop by on Saturday afternoon. We were expecting just an average place, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our server, Courtney, was exceptional. She remembered our names, was very enthusiastic and cheerful, and stopped by to check on us several times. She made our visit! Also, one of the owners came by to chat with us for a few minutes, which we also thought was very nice. The menu is unique, with choices you won't find in other locations, and the smoked chicken was fabulous. Prices were reasonable also. We will definitely be back. read more

We came in around 4pm with a small crowd, but at 5pm they started to get a lot of walk ins, and the staff did a great job serving everyone. A Very polite group, and we all felt welcome. Let me start by saying I love, love, love, the NO ONE UNDER 21 AFTER 3PM Policy. For that alone you should get 5 stars. Beyond that here is how Mr, Boro's shakes out for me. Let's start with the other positives. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The cocktails were good. Strong pour at a fair price. Nice happy hour. The place was clean as pin. The evening my wife and I were in the there the waitresses were not only pleasant and prompt they were very pleasing to the eye. Not that I noticed. Good hang out, nice patio. The garage door open is a cool way to give a feeling of inclusiveness to smokers. The negatives. Enough with the OSU thing! Then menu needs help. It's all chick food. Looks like a menu from a sad ladies weekend of winery tours. Get some MAN food in there for god sake. We were hungry. If we were on diet it was the perfect stop. We are not so we finished our drinks and headed to Rooster's down the road. Better menu and I would have gone 4 stars. Mr. Boro's you are fairly new at this, I know. It's a nice enough bar, but not really a place for food. My wife and I decided to give this place a try the other day, and while we both liked the atmosphere, we both walked away feeling like it was overpriced and mediocre. There menu consists of mainly flatbread pizzas and grilled cheese sandwiches, but nothing that could be called an entree. The flatbread that my wife ordered was decent, but definitely not worth the $13 they charged for it. My wife did like the drink she ordered off their cocktail menu, but again it was overpriced at $12. All in all, it might not a bad place to meet up for a beer, especially on the patio. But with all of the other options in the area we just couldn't see anything that set this place apart, and felt like we get a lot more for our money elsewhere. read more

Today my family and I decided to give this place a try. After realizing that it was 21+ after 3 pm and seeing another family with children, we asked the owner if it was ok that our children who are under 12 be there to eat and watch the games. She told me it was fine if they would be in there. An hour later the other owner came up as we were eating and asked us to leave right away. Our kids were well behaved and weren't running around. They didn't give us the option to finish our food and drinks. They handed us our bill right as he asked us to leave and kicked us out. I recently moved to Springboro and have been looking for my new "hang out". You know, that super comfy, friendly atmosphere with delicious food and a bar with options. Last Thursday night, my journey to find such an establishment led me to Mr. Boro's Tavern. I met my friend around 8:30pm and we sat at the bar. The bartender was fantastic! She introduced herself and called us by name for the rest of the evening. (Already feeling comfy :) I had the Main Street Maple - a twist on the classic Old fashioned (Delish!!) and he had a beer from Yellow springs brewery - Foggy Commute. My friend was pleased (being an avid craft beer drinker) with the diverse selection of brews on tap as well as in a can / bottle. (I was told by one of the servers that the taps are always changing. New beers each week! To begin, we ordered the Smoked (rubbed) wings with Homemade Ranch. The wings are smoked in house and were very tasty. I had the pulled chicken and goat cheese flatbread and he had the "Boro favorite" grilled cheese. The flatbread was unique and delicious. After seeing his grilled cheese, I HAVE to return to try one. The bread is from DLM, which I loved. #supportlocal On this particular night, there was a band. They were upbeat and fun. (I am told they often have live entertainment with, get this.. NO cover charge!) There were customers dancing all night despite not having a "dedicated dance floor". How much fun! We ended up chatting with the staff as well as a few of the customers that appear to be "regulars". I had a wonderful experience all around. I have never done this before, so apologize if it's not an official "review", but my husband and I went here for date night last Thursday evening (9/14) and last night we went right down the road to Highland Stag, which I STRONGLY recommend. (Maybe I'll do a good review for them!) Anyway, service was good, food was mediocre and drinks okay, but both extremely over-priced. What really got our attention was, as we were ready to leave, we witnessed a party come in with little ones(all under 10 years of age)and we waited to see how it would be handled because of their policy of no one under 21 after 3 p.m. The waitress greeted them and proceeded to serve them, no questions asked!!! The kids were actually well-behaved, but the "Dad" (whoever) was brushing the girl's hair, AT THE TABLE!!! My husband joked that he was glad we already ate because it was so gross. A lady from the kitchen kept coming out to visit the table, so I'm sure that was why they made an exception to their policy, but come on! And now a friend shows me an article from the paper that when interviewed, the owners stated that they have "no regrets" of not allowing kids after 3 p.m. WHAT?! So...they do whatever they want AND get free publicity, too. That's not right. I talked to several co-workers today, who urged me to write this and are going to spread the word. We will not be back. We paid a babysitter to come check out a place without children present with hopes that it may be our new hang-out. Well, they may have no regrets, but we do...never again read more
