Solid seafood place near Coquitlam Centre…read more Parking is available in the lot in front of the building. The place looks nice and modern. Comfortable cushy chairs, and wooden trim. Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

We went here for a friend's birthday party group of about 15 people. Never been here before but the…read morereservation was made weeks in advance. This whole experience started off wrong they reservation ended up 30 min late, which these things happened so we weren't put off yet. We finally got seated and the waitress was so apologetic and handed out the menus. Now half the menus were for the brunch service instead of the dinner service. Again it's not a big deal , she took our drink orders and we didn't get those for thirty minutes. Now we're getting put off so it's now an hour past when our original reservation time. We get ignored after the initial seating and only have water and are waiting for drinks. She finally takes our meal order and totally messes that up. Half the table got there mains before the appetizers (after another 30 min). Made another drink order two people didn't receive their drinks after 45 min. Half the food was cold asf . Orders were missing and we essentially had to beg someone to clear the tables we had. By this point it's been 2.5 hrs 1 round of drinks missing food orders and food coming out cold I was done and ready to go. Most of the time if there's a big group of the waitstaff you'd ask what the special occasion was about? Unfortunately that didn't happen ( it was our friends birthday) so at this point the birthday girl was not in a good place and was feeling bad because she wanted to eat here. We at this point requested to talk to management cause the whole situation was out of control and it's clear to me that there was a complete breakdown in the back of the house and the front of the house was not prepared or untrained or understaffed or all of the above. Many of us have worked in the food industry for years so we gave them more than enough grace to get their act together. They failed spectacularly, they did comp parts of the meals and services but that was too little too late. Now when we were leaving we actually bumped into other customers and they had a similar experience as well. All in all I must say that this was by far the worst dining experience I've had in years. I will not be going back anytime soon. I'm not sure what broke down during service and if someone doesn't get disciplinary actions over these issues I'd be very surprised. If you go you've been warned is all I can say

While there were no…read moretoddler friendly utensils, they do offer booster seats and the wait staff were absolutely amazing and so patient with our little one. Thanks so much! They offered to split our lobster bisque so we could each have our own. We've also tried their tableside salad and desserts before and enjoyed the shows. My toddler wanted to get a closer look. The ambience is moody with high ceilings, low lighting, and plush seats. There is a constant buzz of conversations around us to provide a bit of intimacy and privacy to our conversations, while also allowing our toddler to be just a bit rowdy without feeling like we are disturbing the other guests. Of the food, I love the mushroom side with the truffle fondue. I wanted to dip everything in it as it was so flavourful and delicious. Complimentary bread with butter and blue cheese butter were offered to start. The brussel sprouts side was also unique with the added pistachios and a crisp for some crunch. The hearty mussels and clams starter were great for a rainy evening. Portion was enough as a meal by itself, too! There is a covered parking lot for those driving. I suggest making reservations as it can be quite busy!

Located at the Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby, free parking available in the casino lot across the street, but be warned that it's dirty as hell & smells terrible. Atlas Steak & Fish, is a supreme restaurant via looks, decor, lighting, seating, piano bar, table service, excellent waiters, food presentation & more. I ordered an Atlas Old Fashioned & let me tell you - WOW! Truly one of the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. (Bulleit 10yr bourbon, charred rosemary-maple syrup, aromatic bitters, cacao bitters served smoked over a 2" ice cube) The complimentary bread & butter was delightful. Our waitress Marina was fantastic. Our dinner consisted of Pan Seared Sea Scallops, Halibut & Lobster Risotto & the Tomahawk Pork Chop. Everything tasted splendid & knocked it out of the ball park. For dessert, get the Baked Alaska - it is absolutely sensational! The table service is spectacular - see my video clips. Make a reservation & get here ASAP! Hot tip alert - the dinning room temperature can be a bit cold. Ask for a blanket once you start freezing!
