Thomas and team were absolutely amazing!!!! My 2012 MacBook Pro screen was cracked. They checked it out and ordered a new screen and replaced it. Unfortunately as we found out two screens later it was my system not their work. But they never gave up nor charged a dime extra to get me up and running. During Covid Mail delivery has been slow. Because I had to still work from home, Thomas went above and beyond and provided me a loaner monitor to plug into my Mac and I could keep working till we had this all handled. I really needed my WORK laptop fixed asap, Best Buy referred me to them and it was a mistake! First of all, the computer was still functioning just needed a new screen. Now after they have had the computer for several days, I call and ask what's taking so long and they say "oh it's out of stock" so I go to pick my laptop up so I can get the screen somewhere else, and now it won't even turn on!! They said they opened the computer it's self so they still charged me $35 to return my computer back in worse condition than before? Not a service for me at all, more like now I need an entirely new computer instead of just the screen from a diagnostic that reported just the screen issue not anything about it completely not working anymore. While I have been working from home during the pandemic, like many others, I also took it as an opportunity to build a nice gaming PC, and luckily, I did it right before the prices of GPUs shot up astronomically. Anyway, fast forward to Tuesday 3/15/22, I wake up and try to game a bit before I have to work from home, and low and behold, my 2060 Super GPU was bricked. After trouble shooting & ascertaining that it was the GPU for sure, I became very distressed because I knew that not only at GPUs obscenely expensive at the moment, they're also incredibly difficult to find. Luckily for me, I was able to find MPC Electronics in Chula Vista, and after calling Tom & asking him if they had any pre-owned older generation GPUs, he told me they had some brand new 3060 TIs... at prices that were right in line with what the market has dictated. Tom was incredibly informative, helpful, and offered to hold the 3060 TI for me while I had to drive through rush hour traffic.. and he even dropped the price of the card for me. I don't understand why there are some reviews that are bombing them for selling the GPUs at "scalper" prices, that is just the world we live in at the moment - finding a 30 series RTX card at MSRP is impossible. While I would have rather paid MSRP for the card, Tom was extremely reasonable with his price, and on top of all of that, he was a great person to give my business to. For his service & pricing alone, I'll be going to MPC Electronics for all of my local gaming PC needs. 5/5! read more

I've been going to MPC for 17 years (2 locations). Tom is a great guy and extremely helpful. Today, I got an entry-level gaming graphics card. (PNY GTX 1650) for $200. SAME card on Amazon is over $300 (best price I could find, shipped) with 30-day delivery date. Im a Prime member, that's awful. Similar cards from MSI were $250-300, prime delivery in 6 days was $280. Electronics and computer components are a fluctuating commodity market. One must know what they want in their computer and get educated on the components that will fit the bill. Tom and his staff will take the time to explain such things if you're not an expert. You will NOT get that on Amazon, or usually at Fry's (The "F" word.) I've seen Tom show a great ability to adjust his explanations to fit the customer's knowledge. He can talk over locking the latest socket 1200 CPUs with a hardcore tech customer, then shift gears to gather info and explain pros & cons to a novice, putting her at ease. More important than just the rock bottom price (which I think Tom cannot always offer on every item), is having a FULL SERVICE, CUSTOMER-ORIENTED BRICK & MORTAR STORE in our community. So valuable: so convenient. I have not gotten ALL of my computers/components at MPC, so I'm well-versed on other retail & internet sources. But I keep coming back to MPC because their combination of price, service, information and same-day retail experience is unbeatable. ALSO, MPC's "Weekly Flyer" on their web page is practically a public service! In compact form, it lists wide ranges of components, systems, market/sale prices, all organized/labelled with socket/port compatibility. The flyer is a goldmine of the premium, 2nd tier, to entry-level market/pricing data for EVERYTHING PC and other products. I don't chase the technology curve by getting the absolute latest & greatest CPU/GPU etc. MPC can provide new release hardware, too. But if you want to exploit the savings available for getting, say, 9th generation CPUs instead of 10th, or get simple solutions for a small business that only needs to run MS Office, maybe some database, and access a LAN/WAN/internet, then MPC can help you buy the PC you need, and not also pay for bells & whistles you don't need (but would get & pay for from big box retail/internet sources) . I've built my own systems (or used Macs) for over 25 years, with one exception where I had MPC built a custom office workstation for me.... but I've referred a number of other lawyers/CPAs and small office professionals (not particularly tech-savvy types) to Tom at MPC for workstations/software builds. I always get rave feedback and usually hear how they saved hundreds compared to Dell (or Gateway way back when it existed) by having Tom's folks at MPC build a custom solution for them. Tom has expanded into surveillance gear/electronics and has had a channel of distribution for prior generation Mac products. The computer was shipped on time, that is the only positive thing I can say about this computer. Has not worked since delivered with no resolve, seller offered to ship a cable, will not help as something is wrong with CPU. Replace cord at own expense, company very slow at communication. I was gonna order my pc parts online but I like the convenience of having everything local (in case anything didn't work). I came into the store with a part list to build a gaming computer from scratch and they had almost everything i wanted except the motherboard. Tom quickly helped me find a similar replacement. Everything i bought worked and turned out great! I called them probably 6 times to ask questions during the build and no matter how busy they were they answered my questions and helped me find solutions. Bummer, I was looking forward to referring this company to our clients. Long story short they installed cameras, took over 8 hours to install, left trash, ceiling tiles open, and an outside camera that didn't work. After bugging them to come to replace they did, in fact, upgrade the camera. Upon recommendation from them, I upgraded our internet and router for better imaging. I was unaware by doing so our cameras would not recognize the new router and hence our cameras would not carry a live feed to our phones etc. Again I called, text, pleaded with them to come and fix. They were always too busy, short personnel, maybe next weeks etc. He even gave me the manufactures number so I could try to troubleshoot myself. The manufacturer said they do not help consumers. This went on for weeks. I offered to pay to have them come and fix as he said it was an easy fix for him to do. I finally told him I was fed up and would never use nor recommend his company. I have had to risk my business security for months waiting for them to come to fix what he said was an "easy fix", hire a separate firm to come to clean up their messy work and get our cameras live again. -Disappointed​ & Over budget read more

I don't know where to start but there were so many attempts and failures. I had bought a Dell monitor online and the cables or inputs were totally different. To connect to my computer I was like this for up to a month without seeing my monitor turned on, I bought so many cables, trying many times I felt defeated. I went to Best buy, it is only a monitor sales warehouse and other things, a worker was not so efficient in telling me the truth, lack of experience. I searched in Google and I found the best electronic store. They solved the problem for me in seconds, they returned that happiness to me seeing my computer turned on for the first time. They changed my computer disk for an HDMI wow! I saw it and I don't believe it, it was in seconds the truth, you don't think about it anymore. Not impress at all. I had high hopes when I found out they where in the local area. Went in asking about a repair question with part on hand and after I repeated my self over and over and physically showed him what I needed, he's response back had nothing to do with what I was asking. It seem like he didn't understand or was not knowledgeable on what I was asking. Either way his explanation of what there job description is was very confusing. There Tech's but there not? Called in to see if they had GPU 8 and 6-pin power cables. The attendant was clearly confused and thought that I was referring to a 20 + 4 pin motherboard main power cable. When I finally explained it to him he said "oh yeah we have those." I came into the store and they had this dinky little 6 inch cable that would never reach from the power supply to a GPU in any PC case. After bringing in the GPU in and showing them my needs the guy dug through the parts bin behind the register for a solid 10 minutes and finally pulled out a small black ribbon cable with eight pin on one side and 6+2 pin split, but while the power connectors for the GPU side lined up, once I got it home the other end of the ribbon cable was clearly not a GPU power cable as it didn't match the standard GPU power configuration on my semi modular PSU. read more

I went to mpc to get my keyboard replaced on my Asus laptop a year or two back, and it was a hassle. First, one of their techs said they couldn't use the replacement keyboard, but after I CONVINCED him it was the right model, it worked after a week of them (I'm assuming) just not trying in the first place? Best part is, they lost my charger and my bag I gave them with the laptop (although they gave me a replacement charger, still dont have a bag). Recently I was interested if they had any of the big GPUS in stock, and they are apparently scalpers. $899 got a 3070 RTX that has an MSRP of ~$550? Is this a joke? Considering they lost my stuff, thought they couldn't replace a KEYBOARD WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S ID EQUIVALENT, and are scalping prices like lowlifes on Ebay, I suggest you take your time and money somewhere respectable. read more

Life Savers! my laptop crashed after a Windows update. Long story short, I went to one company that wanted $1000 to recover all my data after having my laptop for 8 days, another IT guy didn't want to do the work to pull out the hard drive (I guess my laptop has the hard drive in a hard to reach area) and then I came to MPC and my life was saved. Hermando was able to find the data on my hard drive within minutes of my bringing my laptop in to MPC. After 2 business days, I was able to pick up my laptop with recovered data, a new hard drive and Windows installed all for under $300 and with NO 'man-splaining' the inner workings of computer. I went in this store hoping to get my PC fixed. When I asked one of the employers if they had the part for me he said yes and I gave him my PC so they can fix it. Right away they charged me for a maintenance fee before he even could look for the part I asked for. They ended up not having the part and didn't refund me for the maintenance fee and said I would have 30 days to come back if I wanted to get it fixed with no charge with the part. Why would I want to come back to a store that lied to me and said they had the part and not refund me for something they didn't even fix? I won't come back to this store and I'm glad I was able to get it fixed elsewhere. read more

Remember the phrase about "going the extra mile". Micro PC Outlet is a company I've used before they were Micro PC Outlet. I patronized their predecessor store and was so impressed that I've stuck with them over the years. It' s surprising that there are still businesses that know the meaning, and value, of taking care of their customers without the pervasive "not my fault" nor "deaf ear" attitude (such as the @#$%^&%$# AT&T). Their manager Tom makes sure it stays that way too. I could tell you many stories but perhaps the most recent is enough. I had a client who is very particular and wanted a high end system. He was willing to pay whatever it cost but wanted it to work properly with no problems. That's reasonable, right? He happened to have a couple of hard drives that were new and purchased for an application that never materialized and so they were excess. Since they would be perfectly appropriate for his new, high end machine he asked that they be incorporated. They were. After delivery to his home. Things did not go well with system freezes and many errors to the event log. While my client wanted his money back, I encouraged him to let Micro PC Outlet diagnose and have the chance to solve the problem. He calmed down and agreed to this. Their two primary technicians are Marco and Junior. They are both knowledgeable, efficient, reasonable, friendly and easy going. In short ... a delight to interact with. Marco attacked this problem with unflappable enthusiasm and quickly determined that both of the new Western Digital drives from Fry's were defective. Not only did he take the time to completely reinstall the system, he also swapped out the two defective drives, purchased elsewhere, for new ones. He then returned defective drives to their manufacturer for warranty replacement. This took about three hours overall. No hassle. No money changed hands but a huge amount of very positive PR did. This level of concern for a client's issues is practically unheard of in this business. I unhesitatingly recommend Micro PC Outlet for all of your computer, accessories and video needs. Their prices are very good, their attitudes are friendly and their service is impeccable. 'nuff said. P.S. My wife and I had not purchased a computer in about 4 years and thought it was time to invest in a new one because I teach online classes and she wanted a laptop for her work and her needs. We had always wanted to try this store because it was a local business. They were also having a sale. We were on our way to Best Buy because we have always had good results with electronics bought there. We should have went to Best Buy. We spent over a 1,000 dollars in this store after buying two computers and accessories for those computers. Within almost 3 months to the day after purchase both computers (mind your old computer was still in good shape and running) both of the new computers began to have problems with startup and registry problems. One computer actually became disabled. I phoned Micro PC and was told I could bring them in for estimate and they reminded me they have no refund policy. I just wanted working PCs. I said, "So you don't stand behind the products you sell?" I was told I could still purchase a factory warantee from the computer manuracturers. I asked for the manager and the manager said to bring the computers in and he would see about "hooking us up with one of those warantees". I couldn't believe it, they sold us faulty merchandise and they still wanted more money. My wife was furious and said she did not want me to set foot in that store again, that she would get the computers fixed elsewhere. The computers sold to us have been pieces of crap. Thank you MPC Electronics, my experience with them is a 5 star ! I have been going here since 2007 and they have been a world class customer service and I am very impressed with this place as usual. This is my third time I been in for my computer being serviced. With Data back up and updating for a new Solid State Hard drive, I am so impressed, they even showed me how to retrieve and showed me where my 3 hard drive backup-ed up are at. My Western digital old hard drive was located on E drive and didn't know it was there until they showed my how to retrieve that. Again, I am very impressed with their service and their repair expertise where others don't have ! They are a local independent Super Store with all electronics and I love how they show me other electronics they have like a Drone that costs about $99 with a Camera / and LCD on the controller. Avoid if possible. Went in a couple weeks back to get some parts to build a computer. I asked the guy at the counter if he had a few specific parts I was looking for. Instead of helping me find them, he criticized me and kept trying to sell me more expensive parts. I told him I had already decided but he wouldn't let it go and kept speaking in a condescending tone. I also went in to have a laptop fixed. I received it still broken and couldn't get a refund. They insisted I pay full price again for them to re-attempt to fix it. Also, I noticed a lot of their merchandise has been taken out of its packaging and used before.
