This is a great business. You know that feeling of the floor falling out from under you when your hard drive crashes and you get the dreaded Blue Screen of Oblivion. Michael had my MacBook up and running in a very short time, calmed me down, explained how to take better care of my Mac (never, *ever* leave your laptop on hibernate or sleep, it wears down the disk), and brought it back to life for a very reasonable price. Take your computer here, and you'll be treated with great courtesy; they'll listen to your questions, explain every step of the repair process, and work very, very hard to restore your computer to its original state. I see from their website that they also do computer builds, networking and graphic design -- I am sure that they do the same fine job, with the same attention to customer service and detail, that they did with my Mac. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Worth a trip to Coronado (they're in the California plaza building, at the corner of 10th and B). I would definitely take a computer here for any sort of refurbishment, or if I wanted a custom build. read more

Mike at Emerald City Computers has helped us with our technological snafus for years! Though he really knocked it out of the park with today's service! I tried migrating an old Mac to a newer one and lost everything in the process! I was quite hysterical when I called his business and Mike took me in right away and was not only able to recover everything but organized all the folders as well. If you have any laptop/desktop issues, Mike is the guy you want to see. read more

The owner Michael owes me $350. He doesn't respond in any email.. his server no longer accepts emails from me. The work that he did for me has never performed the moment he left my office.. read more

We are so lucky to have Michael in town. He's smart, hard-working, knowledgeable, and ethical. And, he's a local that has coached youth soccer in town for 20 years and even has a 435 number! If you have a computer problem - go see Michael! read more

Michael is the one you want to solve your computer problems! We have used him several times and have had outstanding results each time. We live in Coronado and his office is just down the street, so he is very convenient! We ordered a new monitor from him and when he came to deliver it, he fixed another problem we had been having for several years (no sound with my new computer) for no extra. I am just so appreciative of his professionalism. read more

Michael is as good as it gets. I had severe damage to my laptop hard drive and after the first place I took it to was unable to any of my data off of it a friend told me Michael at Emerald City Computer Works could get it. I didn't have high hopes because it was in such bad shape but gave it a shot and sure enough in one day Michael called and told me got all 260 GB of data off my nearly destroyed hard drive. Emerald City is definitely worth the drive into Coronado if you want your computer fixed correctly and quickly. read more

Being redundant here, but we can't thank Michael enough, too! In our case, for fixing the internet connection in our rental. As all the other reviewers have said, Michael is courteous, timely, and in fact it only took him a few minutes at most to fix the wireless problem we were having. Ten stars!!!! read more

Had some serious issues with my laptop and cell phone and Michael fixed the problems all in the same day. You won't be sorry taking your business to his computer store. It's probably rare to give an excellent review when the repair you sought was not accomplished. When my MacBook Pro had a rolling display that I attributed to a poor connection or faulty cable, Michael assessed it and informed me that it was much more serious and would require major surgery. He did not charge me for his diagnosis. I appreciate his honesty. read more

I have been using them for at least 15 years. I can not say enough good things. Home office, "real" office, laptops - plus 3 kids laptops. PCs and Macs. Viruses , hacking , basic crap that happens with technology we've been through it all. I've almost always worked with Michael and he is awesome! When I have worked with Marko he great too! Responsive, professional always up on the latest issues and technology. Never any kind of sales job nor do they make you feel stupid when it's something simple you were calling about. Good pricing and they never nickel or dime you. read more

Had a great experience there. My laptop got fixed (at 50% the cost of the previous attempt) and the staff was very courteous and thoughtful. I didn't feel like I was getting nickel and dimed and was excited to have my laptop (with a cracked screen) back, fixed, and in agreed on time. Highly recommend and would use again. read more
