I had Business cards made. Well I initially asked for my business cards to be mailed to my Florida address. After about 5 days I didn't hear anything from Advance Reprographics so I started calling every other day. Some days I got transfer to noone and eventually got thru and was transferred again to the lady at the front desk. She then transferred me to someone and we begin working on the final draft. I told them I changed my mind and wanted to pick up my business cards. Well about 8 days later I walked in the shop only to be told my cards had been mailed to Florida. Well I had the business cards sent back to me. Great images but I'm sorry they really failed on customer service. I always critique business because in good time you will survive with poor customer service. But most people don't spend good money on poor customer service in bad times so yeah that's why many businesses fail. Poor customer service and poor customer loyalty. The customers pay your the series of workers not necessarily the boss. The distribute a check to you but that money came from a paying customer. read more

A very odd experience. Had to get a an original painting into digital format. But they wanted me to pay them if work got destroyed while in their hands. I asked for them to please explain why had to pay them twice for possible damage. That made no sense. I totally get being asked to sign waiver in case of damage but to be asked to sign a waiver to pay them twice for damage they could possibly experience. I repeated to ask, how does that make sense to the customer? Please help me understand? I asked them. A friend referred them to me, and I'm so glad she did because the customer service is more attentive and personal than any big corporation out there. I called other shops and either they couldn't accomodate the request or wouldn't sell me blank material (this is for a presentation we were having last minute and prepping artwork in-house). I've been using Advance for over four years for business at my architecture firm. The staff are all courteous, professional and offer great customer service. More often than not they complete jobs ahead of schedule and can almost always accommodate a quick turn around. I avoid those situations as much as possible, but emergencies come up. Services I request most often: primarily print large format black and white with screw post binding and they always do a great job. They are also cost effective and fast at slip-sheeting documents. They pick up and deliver from my office - so convenient and easy! They even courier documents locally to plan check agencies, etc. when needed. One time they even delivered to my residence in a gated complex. Advance follows my (occasionally convoluted) written instructions and check in when things are unclear. They also double check files and sheet numbers, etc which has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion, despite my best document control efforts prior to print. Brian has been really responsive and professional. He even contacted me on new years eve when they were closed to confirm an order. Prices overall are reasonable, but the service is unmatched. I thought at first it might just be a matter of perspective that I appreciate them so much, as I just had a maddeningly frustrating experience with another graphics company.... But I will tell you all of the reasons that support my five star rating: -Professional -Accessible & Responsive -Trusted Technical Expertise -Detail Oriented (Perfectionists) -Flexible & Fast -Friendly & Inviting -Go above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service ---- Professional, Accessible, & Responsive They communicate professionally, are accessible through phone, in person, or via email - however you communicate best. I called them to talk about the job, and also had email correspondence that went back and forth several times to clarify details and transfer files. Twice when I had to come by to see the proofs, my time extended beyond the 5pm closing time, and it was never an issue. Also there are two 30-minute spots right in front of the front door, which makes it REALLY easy to get in and out fast. And they have a parking lot, in case there's nothing on the street. Trusted Technical Expertise The job I needed printed was pretty complicated. I had an idea of what I wanted, and when I first called, Danae knew that I needed to speak with someone in graphics due to the details of the project, and transferred me to Elvin. He listened to me explain the entire project, the application, purpose, and what I was looking for in a material. He asked questions to clarify what I needed and didn't need, and made a professional recommendation on the type of product to use. This technical expertise and direction are exactly what I needed! Detail Oriented (Perfectionists) You want a perfectionist working on your printing & graphics, especially for an artistic application. Elvin called me after he had done a test print to let me know that there were some faint lines in the image. He said that most clients wouldn't notice, or it wouldn't be a big deal, but as it was an art application, he wanted me to come by and look at it. Because of our needs for the project, the best printer to use was one that was usually used for outside jobs, and usually the faint lines aren't an issue for billboards and exterior signs. I came by and said it was fine, but he continued to work on the project with one of the other team members, and found a software upgrade for the printer that significantly reduced the appearance of the lines. That's perfecting your product! Flexible and Fast Elvin spent a great deal of time with me going over the details with me. I first called on Wednesday afternoon, and picked up the job on Friday afternoon. During this time, we spoke on the phone half a dozen times, corresponded through email, and met in person twice. I could tell he spent a lot of time on our project, was flexible with my availability, and they delivered by my deadline, while weighing all the options with me. Their location is also right off the 5 freeway, so it's fast to get there. The streets can be a little confusing because of the freeway and railroad, but just look up your directions before you go, or use you map app or GPS and you'll be fine. Friendly & Inviting No one I encountered had a sour attitude, made me feel like I was putting them in a bind, or seemed to drag their feet with the effort. Mine was a unique project, and they tackled it as a challenge, worked together, and made me feel like they were doing everything they possibly could to support my vision and expectations for the final outcome. I told them that I was on a short time frame because another printer had failed me, and they did all of this without a lot of preparation. The office is open, with large counters for looking at proofs, and friendly service. They invited me back into the work area to look at some details, and when I stayed after hours one day, they didn't rush me. Excellent Customer Service Elvin helped me with the file flattening and saving, and sent digital proofs to me to review. When I saw an area that looked a little funny, he touched it up, even though that's outside the scope of the project, and technically is design work (e.g. extra fee). When I came to look at the proof, they brought out a light so I could see what the image would look like when it is back-lit. He also gave me part of the proof to take home and show Shawn Michael, and experiment with the application before the job was even done. They open at 8, but he said I could come by any time after 7:30 to drop off the file. When Elvin originally told me what I needed for the project, he also said that they didn't carry that product. But he found some for me, and brought it in house and tested it. They found a solution, even though they didn't originally have one! So anytime you need printing, or digital design and reprographics, do yourself a favor and use Advance Reprographics. read more

I give these guys two stars cuz it actually looks like a real business. The front outside is really nice and when you walk in it looks like they're busy and have lots of jobs. After you talk with someone who's very courteous and nice they never call you back. They just act like they're going to give you a quote or they're interested in your job but in actuality they're probably just laughing I called consistently for a couple days in a row just trying to get a simple quote and each person kept telling me they're going to call me back she's going to call you back there going to call. Then I realized my job wasn't going to be a very expensive job and they don't give a crap that's what it boils down too. No thanks. I vote with my dollar. If you're looking for a budget job or a small job don't go to these guys they're only looking for big business and they definitely will not even let you know that it's a secret. Bottom line.... this place is awesome!!! I had originally found them when searching for a same day turn around on getting promo cards made for my daughter who is a recording artist and had a last minute event we needed to have promo materials for. I didn't have a design set up, only the picture I wanted to use for the back side of the cards. They had an in house design guy named Morgan that was able to design a pretty complicated double sided promo card with all of the items on it that I had wanted. They then went to print and a few hours later we had the most amazing double sided full color glossy cards that looked so professional! The price was so reasonable as well. Because we were in need of a quick turn around they could have probably charged us an arm and a leg but they didn't, which we really appreciated. Since I had such a great experience last time I visited them, I went again today when my husband needed some business cards. We only had a logo and didn't have a set up for how we wanted them. I only told them that If Morgan was going to design them then I fully trusted him and I wanted him to do the placements and design how he thought would work best. Well.... I was certainly not disappointed. They weren't just plain cookie cutter business cards and looked unique enough to notice while still being conservative and professional at the same time. They looked so good!!!They also did same day turn around as well and pricing was again super reasonable. Anyways, they have earned my business from here on out and I will be using them for anything printing related we will need. Special props and much appreciation goes to Morgan, he is super talented with having a great eye for design and he is also super quick on turn around. If you are an artist and wish to get a giclee made (printed copy of art work reproduces on canvas) avoid Advanced Reprographics. I went into inquire about their services and I was told very, very rudely that they did not do giclees. I explained that I was an artist and I wanted to reproduce my paintings on canvas. A women came out and spoke to me in a very harsh tone that they don't scan canvas because the texture of the canvas would show through. I have had giclees produced at other reprographic services, such as Chrome, and had no problem. So to my artist friends, stay away from this place. read more
