I won't be back. There were at least two employees for every customer there. Despite this, my wife and I sat for 5 to 10 minutes waiting for a server. We even put our menus down to make it apparent that we were ready to order. No drinks, no water, not even acknowledgement that we existed. The manager even walked by and instructed servers to help a couple that arrived several minutes after us. No one even noticed we were leaving or addressed us on the way out. Thanks to this dismal, nonexistent service, plus the fact we weren't thrilled about the menu options, I will not go back. No thanks. read more

Great place for a special event! We belong to the oldest German Singing Society in the United States. We have celebrated our annual Christmas Party at Mozart's for several years and are planning on coming back again this year. Pleasing 30+ ladies is not easy - but Mozart's is getting it done! The food and service are excellent and they are very accommodating to any special requirements we have. Great decor and coziness add to the ambiance of the venue. read more

Food, environment, live piano music, and the goulash soup- all perfect. Owner is always around and a great man who takes pride in his work. My go to place for large family gatherings. read more

Food was not good.......greasy and the bread was dry. I am trying to like this place, so ill try it again.

Mozart's is a jewel, a real joy to go to. I just had the wiener schnitzel, to treat myself to something I hadn't had in years, and my date had the goulash. I'm sorry to lose them at the south end of Clintonville--they did our wedding cake (okay, my date was my wife)--but I'm so happy to see them with more space. Now if only I had thought to bring home a Sachertorte . . . read more

This is a pretty neat place. The food tastes delicious and the people are nice. They have an impressive bakery as well, and a piano bar. The price is reasonable and will hurt you less than an applebee's. The hungarian goulash is awesome as appetizer (probably will make you full already). For main course, I ordered chicken strudel with ratatouille, my friend had a veal schnitzel. The atmosphere is nice and classy, and if you are looking for a place for your next date, this would be a good choice! read more

Was there for lunch recently and had a great cup of mushroom soup to start but the quiche (quiche lorraine) was inedible. It was dense and just way too crowded with ingredients - could not even taste custardy egg at all and it was over cooked and dry. The worst part was that our waitress did not check back for almost 10-15 min just to clear. I told her it was not good and she did offer to bring me something else but by that time, the person I was with had finished her lunch so I declined because we were ready to leave. It was very disappointing read more

I don't know what planet the negative reviewers came from, but this is the best place in Columbus for a casual meal or to host an event, large or small. All their cakes & pastries are to die for as I have not had one yet that I can say was below standard. Their event cakes are superb & given enough notice, will never disappoint. Even getting a ready made cake for a forgotten birthday will have your guests oohing & aahing. The table service for breakfast & lunch is the best & the food is delightful. They have expanded their menu so if you want to try their wonderful desserts, go easy on the entre & mains. Oh & the piano player also takes requests read more

Good food with great service. The warm wine was amazing, but the scone was a little dry. Great cappuccino and pastries as well. read more

So delightful! Sunday morning breakfast with friends. Had the Tyrolean special. Soooo good. Pastries are out of this world. Will definitely eat here next time I'm in Columbus. Sanjiv was an excellent server. read more

My afternoon tea experience here was fairly mediocre. Mostly attributed to the food and tea taste. The ambience was fine - very spacious location. No issue with parking. The place was pretty empty on a weekend afternoon. Our server was decent. The waiter and waitress were overall friendly. My main issue was I was a bit underwhelmed with the offerings. We had raspberry and peach tea. Not so much tea- or fruit-flavored. It tasted really bland...which was a disappointment. The afternoon tea offerings came with 3 layers of desserts/pastries. The top layer has 4 mini-scones. Tasted a bit too crunchy, very different from many different scone places that I have tried. They were served with raspberry preserves and Devonshire cream. I really liked the Devonshire cream. The second layer has Marzipan peach, tea cookie, and chocolate petit four. I liked the tea cookie the most. Chocolate petit four was good too. However, the Marzipan peach that everyone raved about, tasted too sugary that I didn't feel too great after eating it. The bottom layer has canapés, including cranberry chicken salad, smoked ham & Swiss sandwich, cucumber & dill, smoked salmon, and portabella with cream cheese. Everything really tasted just alright to me... food seemed to be pre-prepared and didn't taste as fresh to me... I really wished that I liked this place a little better as I love afternoon tea and am always looking for one that I can return frequent. Unfortunately, I do not consider returning here any time soon. I did enjoy the piano music in the background though....pretty relaxing. read more

Mozart's breakfast is great!! My husband and I have breakfast here on Sundays quite often. We are particular about where we dine and do not live close by, so, this says a great deal about the quality of Mozart's. Our breakfast is always fresh and flavorful and the bakery items are delicious! In addition, it is a great place for having just baked goods and coffee. I have done this several times with friends and it never disappoints. The owner of Mozart's is always very welcoming to us and involved in the daily operation, which may account for the consistency of the good food, baked goods, and friendly service. We plan to enjoy our Sunday breakfast and pastries here in the future. read more

Stopped in today at 10 and got the best breakfast sandwich ever! Good hot coffee and a very classy atmosphere. The owner was very accommodating and service was awesome. If you get a chance check out this little gem in clintonville.! You will not be disappointed! I will be taking the wife to dinner one night for the great piano bar atmosphere! read more

This is such a fun place! My wife and I like to get here and grab lunch. Good atmosphere to relax, talk and grab a bite to eat.

Go here for dinner! The goulash and the ratatouille are wonderful! We also felt the amount of food for the price made it a great value. We will be back here the next time we're in the area- unfortunately we live 2 hours away. Please go there and enjoy for us! read more

Absolutely love this place, especially the marzipan peach. You HAVE to get one if you stop in! Will be coming back until the end!

The store is nice, and the waitresses were very nice and polite. We had 4 different types of pastries, and we didn't like them at all. They were so sweet that we could not taste any flavors. Whole Food's has much better pastries with the same price range. If you try pasties from Belle's Bread, Yummy Bakery, Pistacia Vera, or Tuula's European Cafe (and if you're not addicted to sugar), you may come to the same conclusion. It was the first and last time I bought pastries from this store, and I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Enjoyed the atmosphere last time we visited. Yes amazing bakery and sweets options as well. However, we were in for brunch and their breakfast menu is very limited. We tried two different options and they were not that tasty. Coffee was mediocre, maybe because we ordered americanos and it was not as rich as expected. Give this place a 4 star for sweets and atmosphere. Oh and live piano music was nice too. read more

I have mixed feelings about Mozart's. Let's start with the positives: it's a piano bar! The pianist was an old gentleman with incredibly skilled fingers and a good music selection. It really set the tone. The bakery case was full of tortes, cakes and biscotti. The coffee was good- overly sweetened, but good. Each little cafe table had a red rose. I guess the ambience was just a little strange, and everything felt a little weird. It was fancy but not fancy. Classy but not classy. Hard to put into words, really. But I do urge you to give it a try if you like sweets and some good music. We didn't try dinner so I can't comment on that. We will return and bring the kids next time; they love piano. read more

I would not recommend the afternoon tea. I purchased a Groupon for a afternoon tea for 4. The Groupon price was a little over $70. I gifted it to my mother and she took 3 of her friends. They said the experience was ok, but the amount of food that that gave you for the price was a complete joke. Now I understand that this is a tea and not a meal, but considering that this place is also a bakery I would expect for them to really pull out all of the stops and use this as an opportunity to display their baked and savory goods. Everyone left hungry and just picked up something afterwards. I'm disappointed that my gift was not a success. read more

Great food & atmosphere. Unfortunately very poor service. Waitress would disappear for 15 minutes at a time. Sat with empty coffee cups. Ordered a glass of water twice which never came! Finally refilled my wife's iced tea with only gave her half a glass of warm tea and no ice! I realize it's Mothers Day but still......., read more

I preferred Mozart's old South Clintonville location. It was within walking distance from my home; it was quant, cozy and sweet; seemed more like a true cafe than their new venue. As a growing business they wanted to expand to have a private event area, more seating, more off-site parking and a more intense menu. I miss the charm and my morning stop for coffee every now and then. That being said though, I will not rate on my nostalgia. The food continues to be very good, from soup to sandwiches to warm entrees. I've never had a bad meal here and the service is very friendly. The prices are a little pricier than you'd think for a lunch. I've never had their dinner as I feel like for the price, it would need to be a special occasion. Unfortunately, I've never been able to partake in their pastries or sweets, aside from a chocolate truffle I had when I first moved to town. It was very good! Their presentation is beautiful in their pastry case, so I am sure they're delicious. My nephew loves their chocolate chip cookies! read more

I went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to see a live piano player. The menu had many choices. I however chose a light selection, fresh fruit with yogurt and homemade granola. My lunch mate had beef stroganoff. The portion was of a good size and the price was fair. The service was ok. I need to come back and try their desserts. They looked fabulous. read more

I recently hosted a bridal shower champagne tea for my niece. I had to totally coordinate it from out of state by phone and email. The staff and owner were amazing. They patiently answered all my questions and calmed my anxiety. Every detail I had asked for was handled to perfection. The room was lovely. The food was both gorgeous and absolutely delicious. The service was top notch. I can't thank the people at Mozart's enough for making my job as hostess so easy and for giving my niece the bridal shower of her dreams. read more

This place is dirty. I saw a lots of bugs on my way to the bathroom and wired smell in there. Bad place to go

My wife and I recently had our wedding and reception at Mozart's. The venue was elegant, the food excellent and the overall atmosphere surpassed our expectations. In addition, the staff were very helpful in planning, working within our budget and executing the event. We highly recommend Mozart's whether for a special event or just a meal and a piece of one of their delicious cakes. read more

This place is amazing! Their service is excellent and friendly! Their rum balls are to die for, as well as their tortes! I would give this place 10/5 if I could! read more

I have been to Mozart's at every location and they just keep getting better. The food is amazing! The Coffee is, itself, is worth the trip. Starbucks has nothing on Mozart's. The pastries are a little bit of heaven, here on earth. I have done both carry out and eat in and love this place. read more

My fiance and I had lunch there today and it was wonderful. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the price was very reasonable. I had the Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich and was able to change my bread from rye to a croissant. It was the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever eaten. My fiance had the smoked salmon on toasted ciabatta bread and it was loaded with salmon and he said it was great. We have had dinner there a few times and loved everything we've eaten but this was a first time for lunch and we will definitely be going back. read more

Great vibe. Great pianist. Great seating arrangements make for a romantic or business or hangout environment. Great food - the breakfast potatoes and prelude no 4. Great table service - extremely friendly. Great bakery. Would love if they switched to olive oil instead of canola oil. Also wish they would allow an option for Atlantic Salmon instead of smoked salmon. read more

Wiener Schnitzel is excellent. Ham and Spätzle is a misnomer, really Spätzle with a hint of ham garnish. Good, rich, but disappointing as it's basically a pasta dish. read more

I contacted the manager of this location requesting to host a wine tasting and dessert pairing event for approximately 15 people. I also requested details on reserving either a table, section or private room. The response I receive is as follows.... "Hi Sara, Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we do not offer a Dessert and Wine pairing menu or event at this time. Our Symphony of Desserts menu is something that is typically served buffet-style for larger group reservations. You are welcome to come in to order desserts from our bakery counter and wines from our menu. Sincerely, Janelle May www.MozartsCafe.com" my original email is below.... Hi, My name is Simone and I am interesting in having a small event at your location. The event will be a Dessert and Wine Pairing. I am looking to have it on the weekend of valentines day. Either February 16th, 17th, 18th. Presently I expect about 10 guest total but no more than 15. I would like more information about both reserving a small section ( a few tables) or a private area. I noticed on your website that you offer something called "Symphony of Desserts". This sounds perfect for what I have in mind. Please contact me as soon as possible with more details. I hope that your venue will be able to accommodate myself and my guest. I have included my phone number below.I look forward to hearing from you... .......................... What venue wouldn't want to host a reservation of 10-15 people. When I called I was told that the private room seats about 50 people. Does this mean that there must be a minimum of 50 guest to reserve the private room? Im totally appalled by the way the manager handle my inquire. Over half of my email was totally overlooked, not to mentioned she didn't even have the decency to address me by name. Needless to say I will not be visiting this venue anytime soon. read more

I have been to Mozart's twice now. Once for dinner and for lunch just the other day. Very nice place with a nice atmosphere. Especially when they have a piano player on duty. The food in my opinion is very, very good and worth the price. But on both visits, I have found that the service is extremely slow and once ordered, it takes your meal FOREVER to make it from the kitchen to the table. Which for me is a real shame as this would be a perfect place to entertain customers for lunch. If they ever fix this issue, I would be a regular. read more

The food is consistently above par. I highly recommend the chicken strudel. Victoria is a new server there- you should ask for her- very respectful and quick- so sweet. The manager, however, wouldn't come over upon request when I wanted to compliment Victoria. I did not appreciate be brushed off like that at all. read more

We went to Mozarts for brunch. Everything from the atmosphere to the menu selection was outstanding! This is truly a hidden gem for brunch in Columbus! Everyone working said hello when we walked in. Gourmet omelettes and mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice- highly recommend! read more

Bridal shower was just perfect! We planned to host a bridal shower at Mozart's because the pastries were fantastic and the atmosphere was just what we wanted, calm but also fun. The pianist was so friendly and played a pleasant mix of modern and traditional music. All of our guests were complimenting the location saying it was the nicest bridal shower they had ever attended. The tea, food, and mimosas were perfect for our afternoon event and were quite sophisticated. Sanjeev, our waiter, couldn't have been more attentive or patient with all of the women at the shower. He made sure each and every person's needs were met and would check with us to make sure we were ready for the next course so it wouldn't interrupt our festivities. He kept things flowing by efficiently clearing off the tables so we could play a game. In fact, all of the staff there were so kind and professional and offered to help carry gifts out to the cars at the end of the event. Janelle was wonderful during the planning process and patiently answered all of our questions. She made it very easy! To sum it up, I would recommend Mozart's to anyone who wants to host a larger event and please ask for Sanjeev to be your waiter because he won't disappoint! read more

It was a wonderful experience from the second I emailed them about information regarding a large group for a tea party. A co-worker showed my photos of her visit and I wanted to plan something for my mom who successfully completed radiation for breast cancer. Janelle was patient, very thorough, and paid attention to every detail AND booked the reservation for me through a series of emails. The moment we walked in, we were greeted, directed to the ballroom, and on the way we were asked had we been helped!! The pianist was doing his thing and then we surprised my mom and it was exquisite from there until the end. The table for 12 had clean linens, a red rose and all of her friends sitting around beaming. Saad was our waiter and he was just as wonderful as Janelle. The teas came out, he made sure we had hot water continuously and explained that because they make everything fresh, it would be 15-20 mins before our delicious treats came out. Then he took photos for me in front of the other baby grand. The food was amazing. I've never been to tea party let alone had afternoon tea. But now I want to do it all the time but only Mozart's. My mom had the best time! She loved it!!! Her friends loved it!! The only downfall was that I didn't get to meet Janelle in person. This place is so amazing, I may walk in one day and have tea by myself!! read more

I have been to Mozart a few times for Afternoon tea and so I didn't appreciate the change in how the courses are served. Previously each course is served separately, as you finish one the next is brought out at your request. I believe this keeps everything as fresh as possible allowing you to enjoy each course separately. Now each course is served on a tiered tray at the same time...not good. When I asked why the change I was told it was more attractive?? I don't think so... by the time I got to the canapés they were limp and not as appealing. Also, the scones shrunk, they used to be bigger and warm, now they are size of a quarter, cold and hard as a brick. Finally ... it was afternoon tea... my tea was lukewarm at best. Don't think I will be back.. disappointing. read more

Have only been here once. SO FAR. It's close, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has high quality ingredients. I'll be a regular.
