I recently took myself for a solo outing to the Museum of Art for lunch and the Van Gogh exhibit. What a lovely way to pass the afternoon. It was very busy, but the tables were spaced out nicely. You place your order at the counter and then they bring it to you when ready. I enjoyed the brie-burger (hold the brie) and a side of french fries. The fries were perfectly salted and the burger had a yummy jam with caramelized onions for sweetness. It has a peaceful atmosphere and overlooks the sculpture garden, with lots of windows for light to come in on a sunny day. Also, they validate your parking ticket when you purchase food, so the $5 parking fee is waived.

I stopped by CMA's Schokko during my visit. I tried the Schokko club sandwich, the breads and spreads, and a brownie for dessert. The bread was exceptional - the bread was fresh and toasted, and the butter was soft and creamy. The bread came with homemade raspberry jam and it was splendid - a thousand miles above Smucker's. My sandwich was solid as well - the bread was likewise fresh and the pork, bacon and cheese worked well together. My friend tried to order the same sandwich and they seemed to have run out of the club - along with a handful of other menu items. The sandwich came with fries which were just okay. The brownie was solid without being spectacular. Overall Schokko is a solid spot for museum fare.

just inside the museum to the right lies Schokko Cafe, and for the food is amazing! this was the perfect start to a day at the museum! (just don't be expecting your "coffee" to taste like the mass marketed places you may be accustomed to, in case you e never had truly crafted drinks! But if you like true food flavors where the actual food and drink shines, i DEFINITELY recommend!

Great little cafe in the Columbus Museum of Art. You order at the counter while looking at a paper menu. After you order, you get a number and find a seat. Your food is delivered to your table. I ordered the club sandwich without cheese and added avocado for $1 with a side of fresh seasonal fruit. It was really fresh and I was impressed with the perfectly ripe pineapple, strawberries, and blueberries. Hubby ordered the grilled cheese with a side of chips and was equally happy. Options included vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free! It was well located and even validated the $5 parking with a purchase of $5 or more in either the cafe or gift shop. All in all, I'd stop again at the cafe when I'm at the art museum.

I did not take pictures but my family loved their avocado toast, grilled cheese, and French toast.

Service: staff is friendly and work quickly…read more Ambiance/Atmosphere: inside is very well decorated with a modern look. The pastries and cakes are displayed beautiful front and center. Food: Almond croissant is delicious. Crispy, flaky, soft interiors with a beautiful almond filling. This is the best almond pastry I've had in Columbus. I'd highly recommend. Maple pecan twist is delicious. Soft with a sweet maple glaze and crunchy pecans to top. This was beautiful down and tasted fantastic. If you're a pecan lover this is for you. I'd highly recommend. Pumpkin morning bun was phenomenal. This is one of the best pumpkin pastries I've ever had. A true pumpkin flavor with a soft buttery pastry. I'd insist on this item. Crème Brûlée Eclair was good. Butter pastry with a crunchy caramel topping and a sweet very well made cream filling. This was my first eclair and I'm not disappointed. I'd recommend. Plum cranberry Almond Tart was delicious. The plums and cranberries were fresh and added a nice freshness to the almond base tart. I'd highly recommend. Chocolate bombe was great. Cold ganache filling with dark chocolate chunks and a beautiful ganache and cocoa powder over the top. I'd recommend for chocolate lovers. Chocolate Caramel Pecan Feuilletine was great. It genuinely tasted like an upscale turtle. If turtles are something you'd enjoy. I'd highly recommend.

Overpriced and overhyped! Visited with a few friends when it was still chilly out and waited in…read moreline to order a mocha, a ham and cheese croissant and a chocolate macaron. I think the issue is with the chocolate they use for the mocha but it had such an odd flavor that I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The croissant was fine and not memorable and I won't say too much on the macaron because I think I just realized I'm not really a macaron person so I can't fairly judge them there. The cafe is itty bitty and there is absolutely no seating inside so it's more of a grab and go situation. There are a few seats outside so hopefully you can snag a seat when the weather is nicer. Overall, I think there are a lot of other good coffee shops in Columbus that I don't see myself going out of my way to come back.
