This hotel was quite amazing. It felt like I was dropped into the past. The lobby area has a lot of amazing seating available. Games, a sweet and a salty snack at the front desk ( gummy worms and pretzels when we were there- not sure if that ever changes.) had specials for drinks or an event most nights. Got 2 tokens for free drinks. Family friendly. Had a small hot tub which was amazing after a hiking day, and a heated pool again very small. Which are both outdoors- which outdoor seating and 2 smaller circular fire pits. The rooms itself was small but quite whimsical. Not much room other than the bed, and the bathroom and sink, but if was well decorated. Had a difficult time finding plugs but it was under the bed as well. We did have an issue with noise. We could hear a lot from next door. But was not sure if that was a whole building problem or just our room and our neighbor's problem. They have a grab and go station with drinks, sandwiches, snacks, and ramen on deck 24/7 which you can pay with credits or charge to the room. You can get water and sparkling water all day for free, bring a water bottle to use to fill up. Also they provide coffee and tea in the mornings. There is a place to order food literally a VW van counter and everything we tried there was amazing. At first we thought it was over priced but down in the village everything is about 20-30 so it felt reasonable on day 2-3, there is also a A&W and a convenient store next door which we used well. Had an amazing stay, a bit of a walk to get down to the actual stores and shops but bikes can be rented, so can umbrellas, and I think also bus passes. Highly recommend!!

Stopped by to grab a drink at the bar, waited a few minutes to be served. The drinks were good, very kid friendly, a lot of guests staying in the hotel. Staff was kind and bathroom in lobby is a shared bathroom.

I came here for my birthday week and I had a pleasant stay. The checkin and checkout was seamless. Had housekeeping freshen up the room everyday (thanks to Hsing!). The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a food and bar station. Would recommend giving this place a try. It was the only Marriott that came up during my search so just a heads up in Banff. Thanks Moxy Banff!

I was on my way to the Banff Gondola when I stopped here. The hot springs are also located nearby. The original hotel opened in 1888 and has gone through several major renovations and expansions since then. Even if you are not staying here, you have to check this place out. I mostly walked around the outside of the hotel and in the main lobby. Fairmont Banff Springs has two main accommodation areas - the Gatehouse and the historic Main Building. It has a Châteauesque design to it. I love how the hotel stands out within the surrounding Valley. I could even see it from Sulphur Mountain when I rode the gondola to the top. The Banff Springs Hotel has over seven hundred guest rooms and several event spaces. This hotel is worth seeing in person for its size and stunning architecture if you are in the area.

There is a nearby bus stop too. I love all the amenities here. The hot tubs (they have two) are delightful and they also have a cold plunge pool. I did their cold plunge challenge, where they have a timer set for 3 minutes. I felt amazing afterwards! I love going back and forth between the hot tubs and cold plunge pool. They also have a sauna outside too. They offer free S'mores every day for happy hour, and supplies so you can roast your marshmallows by the fire pit outside. Lots of seating outside and I really enjoyed sitting outside and reading. They also offer board games to play and have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, so many options of where you can be. They have a full bar with a nice selection. Delicious happy hour wine deals! I love their red wines. The food is really good here too. They have a really nice breakfast buffet and it's included with your room. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, yogurt, juices, pastries, and more. The bar serves snacks and other food throughout the day and evening. I really enjoyed their charcuterie board. So fresh and delicious. Our room/suite was very spacious. Two queen beds and a living room area with a sofa and fire place. The beds were pretty comfortable but not amazing. We had a microwave and refrigerator, and I loved the espresso machine. We also had a dining table. The bathroom had lovely shampoo, conditioner, and body wash from a local company. My only suggestion is that I wish we had more storage options to unpack our clothes. There were some hangers to hang a few items and there was 1 drawer in the nightstand. I wish we had a dresser. Excellent and friendly staff. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. I would definitely stay here again.

The bed, pillows, and comforter were plush. Slept easily every night. The view from the room is gorgeous especially with snow. I love how the lamps are step-on to turn on. The outlets are also easily accessible. The bathroom is a decent size. There's a clothesline in the shower you can use if needed. I like how the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand soap were from a 1% for the planet brand. There's a shuttle to downtown and back. Pick up and drop off is always at IGA which is easy to find. You just need to call or let the front desk know when you need the shuttle. I needed post cards to go out and was able to leave them with the front desk. If they get your outgoing mail during the week then it will go out the following week. I also borrowed a pen and a key card for when I locked myself out of my room. I highly recommend this hotel and will book again if I'm in town.

Rooms were super clean (which is really the main thing I worry about with travel), and RIDICULOUSLY quiet, especially for being a couple shakes away from main street. Seriously, I forgot we even had neighbours. Not a peep of noise all night (on a friday, at that!). Our only real (and small) gripe was the temperature. Despite fiddling with the room heating, it was always just a little chilly. But we had a tall roof, a big window, and perhaps not the best "fiddling" knowledge. All in all, not a big deal :) This place was cute, sweet, cozy and clean. Almost makes you feel kinda bad about wanting to stay in your room the whole day while beautiful banff is waiting outside.
