Interior is contemporary and modern.

Absolutely thrilled with this hotel choice during our 3-nights in Banff last weekend. We stayed in the suite with a king bed and high ceiling on the 4th floor. It's gorgeous up there and looks like you have your own Air B&B for the weekend! Plenty of space and a small kitchenette with plates and bowls and silverware, a microwave and sink! Plenty of storage for our items and clothing and space for our bags. Having been torn down and rebuilt 2 years ago - This hotel is modern, updated, comfy and close to everything. Easily walkable to tons of things in the town and parking is on-site in the underground garage so that made me feel a bit better. It even has a complimentary "car wash" hose. They don't have a pool or gym but you can walk to their sister property across the street and they have a super nice pool, jacuzzi, and steam room area that is open until 11pm you can use with your Peaks room key. Coffee and tea is available 24/7 and they have two fireplaces inside and a fire pit outside for guests to sit at and enjoy a warm drink. Staff at check-in were exceedingly friendly and kind and easily answered all our questions. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend.

Just wow! From start to finish we were well taken care of and service was amazing. Yes it was more…read moreexpensive but for the price and quality of the food it was worth it. We were told about it through a bar tender and he thought it was the hidden gem of Banff, we agree. To start, the bread was baked fresh right before it was brought to our table and was infused with garlic. It was complimented by a sea salt butter and oil/balsamic spread. It was to die for and probably some of the best bread I've ever tasted, and I LOVE bread. For an appetizer we had the calamari. It was good, but I would only rate it a 3/5, because it was a little bland and it could have used more spices, but it was complimented nicely by the spicy salsa sauce. I had the roselline, which was fresh pasta made in the restaurant rolled with ham and cheese and smothered with a tomato soup like base. It was incredible and I thought a great price for the amount you paid. My boyfriend had the salmon and it was exquisite. It melted in your mouth and the crust that encased the top was perfect. To complete our experience the service was incredible and probably the best we received the entire trip. The restaurant was intimate and had a open concept with windows on the roof to get a outside view. Unfortunately no mountain view though. It was casual but yet classy and we couldn't have been any more impressed with our date.

4 stars for food, 5 stars for service,…read more 5 stars for location Our server was this British guy, who was so helpful in suggesting and helping us order our food. It was a fantastic experience. We sat outside, which is basically covered but the left side faces the mountain and the backyard feels like a forest. It was a good location. The food is quite expensive, even for NYC - let me start with that. It's a Fine Dining place. We ordered the lobster fettuccini, the penne, the salmon and the tiramisu. The lobster fettuccini was about 4/5, I liked the sauce a lot, the pasta was well done - the lobster did not feel that fresh though. The salmon was 5/5. It was very well done, the penne was good but the sauce was okay at best - 3.5/5. They also gave us a palate cleanser (lemon gelato) which was a desert by itself! (so good!) The tiramisu was a let down - it was oddly creamy and had a feeling of cocoa - i'd give it a 2.5/5 Overall, a great experience! If you're looking for Italian fine dining you should go here :)

Forward tees were around 4700 yds which is a little short but fit well with my game. You could do red/gold combo for 5000 yds but I stuck with red only. It helped as I didn't have to hit over long grass or other hazards. The course was in great shape. Fairways were green, greens rolled true, some tee boxes were a little rough but over all in great shape. Not a ton of water but lots of sand and some narrow fairways. The course was busy and we were paired with a member which was as great as he had lots of insight as to how to play each hole. Staff was helpful. The round was slow, around 4.5 hours but there were a lot of people on the course. Carts had gps and nice seating. The views were outstanding. So many picture perfect backdrops throughout the course. It was pricey but we loved it.

They have some good deals on right now. So if you haven't played there for a while, or have never experienced it, now is your time! It is not a busy summer up there.

First, the decor and ambiance. Everything is styled to perfection. In fact, the photos we saw online of the rooms and amenities encouraged us to spend a little extra than we usually do on hotels. I'm so glad we did! The lobby, rooms, and Nora pool are all incredibly chic. You can tell the furniture in the lobby is high quality and the small touches in the room go long way. For example, the lights next to the beds have dimmers, they framed the TV set, and the pillows are labeled either Firm or Soft! Again, so small yet all these tiny things add to the overall value of the hotel. Second, the service. When we got to our room, we were greeted by a cute little plate of four decadent chocolates. They also provide buttery soft robes to enjoy during your stay. At one point, we asked the front desk if there's a common area with a microwave. The answer was no, but they brought a microwave to our room! Lastly, they make it very convenient to communicate with the front desk via text rather than having to call on the room phone. Third, the Nora pool. This stands out on its own. It's like its own spa with a cold plunge, two hot tubs, a regular pool, a sauna, and a steam room. It's so relaxing and they also provide a water station with hot, cold, room temperature, and sparkling water. If we come back to Banff, we absolutely would stay here again.

So he drove us into Banff NP. We stopped at Lake Louise, Johnston Canyon, Vermillion Lakes, the cascade falls, and then we began driving to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. What an absolutely beautiful hotel in one of Nature's most breathtaking masterpieces. The beautiful earth-toned cream colored hotel climbs from the lower mountain side and stands beautifully amongst the tall pines surrounding it. We made our way to the Vermillion Bar, where are post worked back in his college days, and were greeted by a super sweet server, Ayala, who lit up whenever she laughed and smiled with you. We enjoyed cocktails, beef, tartare, veggie Credit, charred, avocado, and a unique presentation of hot wings I've never had before - the actual wing that has two bones in it was pre-cut down the middle so you were served the 2 halves as their own individual wing. Great flavors and it was very unique and enjoyable. All of it was delicious and undeniably yummy, and fairly priced for such an elegant location. We were expecting a much higher price point and were delightfully surprised to see that even though it is a luxury location, it was not price gouging or ridiculously inflated that one often finds in so many other locations that are "elegant or nice". If you have the opportunity to treat yourself to a very beautiful sunset under the majestic Mount Rundle, and want to enjoy a modern setting in a historic landmark, this is absolutely a visit you must make while in Banff National Park. Thank you Ayala for treating us so well, and sharing your sweet Australian journey with us. Chris, David, Trisha, and Keith

The original hotel opened in 1888 and has gone through several major renovations and expansions since then. Even if you are not staying here, you have to check this place out. I mostly walked around the outside of the hotel and in the main lobby. Fairmont Banff Springs has two main accommodation areas - the Gatehouse and the historic Main Building. It has a Châteauesque design to it. I love how the hotel stands out within the surrounding Valley. I could even see it from Sulphur Mountain when I rode the gondola to the top. The Banff Springs Hotel has over seven hundred guest rooms and several event spaces. This hotel is worth seeing in person for its size and stunning architecture if you are in the area.

Suggestions - We stayed in the "Coach House". It would be nice if there was an electric coffee and hot water maker in the rooms. Getting tea and coffee from the main building and taking it across the parking lot to your room is tough, especially in the snow and ice. - They need to put some kind of holders for soap, shampoo and conditioner in the showers. - The channel guide on the TV needs to be edited to remove the channels not available. it takes forever to go through the guide.
