My family and I visited Moxies for Easter Brunch and was totally disappointment. We were seated upon five minutes of our reservations time with the waiter informing us that the kitchen was backed up. After waiting fifty minutes for the food, I asked the hostess to speak to the manager. The food came five minutes later but it was overcooked/burned and incorrect. We will not visit this place again. read more

I really love the atmosphere and vibe that moxies has! Me and my girlfriend came in here for some drinks and I got the strawberry ghost pepper margarita! I loved all of the flavors of my drink! I also indulged in some chicken lettuce wraps and calamari which were to die for!! I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommended this place! read more

Called first to inquire about brunch wait times and noise level and was greeted politely and the answers given made us give it a try. Walked in, no wait, chose to be seated in bar booth. Music level was pleasant. Servers were awesome! Definite team work happening! We started with their highly rated poutine, and it did NOT DISAPPOINT! Cheesy/hot fries with gravy, yummy! Hubs got a hash sausage brunch meal and I had the brunch burger. So tasty. Zesty potatoes, made to order, excellent quality beef burger. PERFECT! Jilayna offered super attentive service, asked good questions & made the ideal recommendations. A good sign the management cares and leads well! Cheers Moxie's. We'll be back. read more

Three and a half star rating is very generous. It's was our first visit for a birthday party and the food is mediocre if that. Most of our party ordered steak medium rare but when the food came out they were cooked medium. Now if I was hungry, I would have just eaten it BUT due to the special occasion, my expectations were high. Additionally, the food tasted very bland. The only upside to this restaurant is the ambiance and the somewhat attentive service. read more

This was my 1st visit to Moxies in Plano. I was there with a few girlfriends for brunch on a Saturday late morning. The French toast looked divine which one of my girlfriends had and my other girlfriend had steak and eggs. I opted for the aged white cheddar omelet which was served with roasted potatoes and some fresh fruit. The presentation was perfect and all 3 dishes melted in our mouths. We were served by a lovely young lady named Reilley Street. She was very warm, friendly and very hospitable. This place is definitely worth a try! read more

We went in for a quick early dinner! Food was delish! We sat at the bar for faster service; staff was great! Will be back for date night soon hopefully! Fish tacos were awesome :) read more

Nice modern atmosphere with good overhead music, great service, and the food was very good. We loved it! Definitely a place to return to.

Found my new spot. Food amazing and service was awsome. Definitely will be back to try other dishes.

I was hesitant walking in here from my past experience at the Uptown location which was pathetic. I was meeting my wife and sister-in-law here since they wanted to come here I had no choice. I want to like this place being that I am a hardcore Dallas Stars fan and I want to support Gaglardi but I think he maybe better at owning hockey clubs than owning restaurants. Well, I was proven wrong at this location. It turned out great. My experience at the Uptown location was so bad I was on the defensive the moment I walked in here. My wife and sister-in-law had already been there awhile and I walked in late and found them at a pretty cool booth in large room that was packed. Obviously, it the place to be at this point since it is still fairly new. A lot of co-worker tables and larger families meeting here. I was immediately greeted by our server and was asked if I wanted anything right away or if I wanted a few minutes to take a look at the menu. I feel like it is very important the way she worded that. You could be a regular who already knows exactly what you want to order or you could be a first timer and need a few moments to look at the menu. She was very nice, beautiful and upbeat the whole time. I had the Ahi Tuna Salad with a Balcones Baby Blue. I found something that was right up my alley and it was legit. It was slightly salty but that's just my distaste of salt. The Balcones was good being that I had a rough work day. The ladies ordered dessert after our meals and I retired with a Monte Cristo. Whoa. Hold up. I never had one of these before. So she explained it to me when I asked her what it was and she was so pretty I'm like I will drink bong water right now if you say its good. It came out and was bangin. I think now this is my new post-meal drink instead of a hard cognac or trying to sneak in one last whiskey. You must try the Monte Cristo.. from what I remember its Coffee, Grand Marnier, caramel and the rim is coated with thick sugar. It sounds simple but I think I'm leaving out ingredients. I dont even like sugar but I was turning the cup each time so I could get some on each sip. Long story short. Do not associate both Moxie's locations with each other, the servers are hot and try the Monte Cristo after your meal. read more

We went here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised! We loved the sangria, bruschetta, and veggie stir fry lettuce wraps! They have some vegetarian items on the menu, and gladly omitted the cheese from the bruschetta to make it vegan. The female employees were more scantily-clad than I prefer seeing when having dinner, and it was a bit overpriced, but a good night nonetheless! read more

Moxie's has to be one of Plano's newest hottest restaurants in town. I walked in and discovered this super modern fun spot that I could have some great drinks with my friends. And their nachos are huge and delicious followed up by one of the best steak dinners I've ever had. If you haven't been here yet you are missing out. read more

Tried this place for the first time and I'll definitely go back. Nice environment and great food!

Ahhh I am a sucker for a sandwich with pretzel breads, and let's be honest the dip really takes the cake! Also kudos for having a dipping dish that actually accommodates the sandwich, it's the small things really!! Disappointed in the fries though, really how can your sandwiches have so much flavor and the fries be missing the basics... read more

I absolutely love the atmosphere and vibe, very hip and classy restaurant! The beef vindaloo is an amazing curry like dish and it is amazing! I love the lime margaritas too read more

Went for a late lunch today. The staff were really nice and attentive. Food was overpriced for the portion size but was delicious and fresh. Decided to sit in the main eating area and unfortunately there wasn't a tv to watch ESPN. Could see there was a tv at the bar but there was a partial wall in between that blocked my view. Nothing serious to complain about, it was a relatively positive experience. Try the portabello veggie burger! read more

I was excited when this place first opened and then was quickly disappointed! The food is amazing and attractive wait staff but the bartender service is such a turn off. Gave this place 4 more chances to redeem themselves and no dice. The nights I have been, not a lot of people in the bar and all the bartenders were too busy talking to each other and sometimes I feel snobby. So much so last time, they never came back around to ask if I wanted another drink before happy hour so I left. I go out a lot and others have said the same thing. Went for a birthday party and got everyone's checks wrong. There are too many places opening up in the area and options so I feel they better up their game. read more

I have been to Moxies Uptown and Southlake and I love those locations. This Plano location was just a terrible experience all together. The server had a bad attitude, clearly did not want to be there. Anyway, I got the Blackened Mahi which is one of my favorite items on the menu but when she brought it out it wasn't even the full dish. No corn, chorizo all the things that make it amazing were just left out and with no warning. My boyfriends burger was burnt so bad that he literally took one bite (and he never complains about food). The only thing that was decent was the curry even though they were somehow out of chicken. We won't be back to this location. read more

Really modern interior. Had separate bar and seating area. The patio was also open. The food was decent, although I did not enjoy the fish tacos. We ordered ribs, the lettuce wraps, the cobb salad, and the beef vindaloo to share with 4 adults. The beef vindaloo was a bit salty but flavorful. The cobb salad was really hearty and well plated. read more

The service was absolutely horrible. We never complained or said anything bc we wouldn't want to hurt someone's job. But they need to worry more about their service rather than what heels their servers are wearing. I'm a sever and the lack of care for our table was just disrespectful. I began to get irritated when our checks took 30 minutes to receive and the server was rude and consistently ignoring us bc we appear young like we wouldn't tip. read more

I was on a mission to try something new and this place didn't disappoint for a first time experience. I came here on a Saturday night around 8 pm and sat at the bar. The bar was full but not standing room only. The main dining area was pretty empty. The bar service was fast and attentive which I really appreciate. The bar area has a decent number of TVs to keep you informed on the latest sports but it doesn't have a sports bar vibe. The bar area reminds me of a place where people might go to grab a drink and a casual bite to eat without the craziness of some of the Legacy Dr. options. I ordered the Scottish Salmon which was good and not dry/overcooked. My husband ordered the Loaded Burger. Everything tasted good but there's nothing remarkable about the meal. It was just good, solid traditional food that most places can get right. My major drawback was the $2.00 upcharge for whiskey on the rocks. If the upcharge is listed on the menu, I must have overlooked it. I have never seen such a charge before and I have ordered my fair share of drinks. Overall, I recommend you give this place a try. read more

Ceasars and poutine were excellent! Staff was super friendly and attentive. SO bummed there weren't any dry ribs on their menu (almost 5 stars). Guess we will have to actually go to Canada for those, eh?!!! read more

The bartenders were awesome we had a great time. I believe it was Millie and maybe Angelica I'm really bad with names but she was wearing a red shirt and long black hair and very tall and explained everything in detail to us. They were out of ginger beer but since the moscow mule is already batched I could have that but I couldn't have the bourbon one. Drink prices are a little high especially with the shots. But we will always remember that place because one of our coworkers accidentally walked into the women's room and into a stall while on a phone call and found out that he was going to be a brand new daddy. They were slammed so I understand why they were out of ginger beer but my only complaint was I was sober when I went to the restroom and I did not look up and I could not for the life of me figure out which side with men or women. If I was drunk I would've just picked a random side. But I actually stood there sober and contemplated trying to figure it out because nobody looks up.. just may be a solitary M or W nonchalant at Eye level. The DJ they had there was awesome. read more

If you see my write ups. Usually. Good We have so many restaurants opening here ,I am glad to write off one of for me and my Company partners and staff.. made reservations at 5:30 and we went through a lot of staff. Then the check in staff laughed at us and said hi. Then they tried to seat us twice in at a bad place. As there were 20 booths empty we have options in Plano.they won we left With all the new restaurants opening by us , we walked out see ya, and if we can put this through, had the meal of our life at Capital Grile. Will not come back or send my staff to Sandman hotel, which is the owner, too many great places read more

If you're looking for a relaxing bar with a great ambiance, Moxie's is the place to go. Zack is an amazing bartender who is extremely personable, funny, and energetic while getting food and drinks out with speed. A bartenders personality can make or break an experience while dining, and Zack always seems to be in the best of moods keeping your glass full! I highly recommend Moxie's for a quick drink, girls night, and even business settings! read more

Overpriced and pretty bad service. Our server disappeared for a while so a manager took our order. Also, this was midday on a weekday so the place was practically empty. Giving 2 stars because the veggie burger was just absolutely delicious. The fries, however, were very dry. Not your normal veggie burger though. The patty was a portobello mushroom top. Yum! Probably won't return unless I have too.. read more

Dissapointed!! That sums up my experience. I'm happy we stopped by here because the food quality is really good but the service is horrible so I feel like it degraded the overall experience. We decided this was a place to try since the menu items seemed delicious. As we entered the restaurant we were greeted but we weren't sure if they worked there or were waiting to be seated themselves, kind of that momentary pause where you normally smile and greet the person and welcome them in but instead, our first contact was a stare and then pause and then they greeted us as they finally realized that we were in fact going to eat there and not just lost on our way to the parking lot from the adjoined hotel. We were given the choice of the bar or dining area and chose the dining area but now regret that choice as you are pretty much forgotten during your dining experience and left wondering if your waitress really wants to get you your drink order or stand in the group of other waitresses talking about the latest gossip. We finally ordered our drinks and got the Fresh Smashed Guacamole which was brought to the table and then ceremoniously smashed in front of us. It kind of fun to watch and adds the freshness to the appetizer and had really good flavors. For our main course we decided on the Tenderloin Filet with red wine Demi glazed ,seasonal vegetables, and baked potato stuffed with mashed potatoes cream cheese green onion & bacon and the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni. The steak was wonderful, juicy and cooked perfect and the Chicken Madeira was just as amazing, creamy mushroom and wine sauce smothering the rigatoni, juicy morsels of chicken and sauteed mushrooms. So delicious. I also had the baked potato stuffed with the mashed potatoes mixed with cream cheese and chives. I definitely recommend this as your side choice, presentation alone will make your mouth water. Once our main dishes were delivered that's where everything just went down hill. Getting a drink refill was only accomplished by getting up from my table, tracking down the only server apparently capable of fulfilling my simple request because the other 5 waitresses were too busy twirling their hair and avoiding eye contact with me in the chance I might ask them to do something. Finally finding my server I was stared at like I just asked her to give me the quotational square root of the subterranean living quarters minus the shoe storage of the LA Swim Team. She recovered and said sorry then delivered our refills but I made the second mistake of trying to add on a side Cesar salad, 32 mins later I was presented with a small soup bowl of perfectly crisp romaine lettuce leaves, whole grain croutons and thin slices of cheese all drizzled in the Cesar salad dressing. Like I mentioned before, the food quality is spot on and worth the trip but the service for some reason makes you want to pull you hair out because it's frustrating that only one person can do anything for your table instead of having designated people to run food and drinks to the tables which would speed up the whole process, make it more efficient and tie together the whole experience because the customer would feel cared for. Oh and we weren't the only ones that were frustrated, a couple was seated while we were eating and it took so long for them to even get their drinks that they just left without ordering. I recommend this place for the food, maybe sit in the bar area and hopefully get better service. read more

I am a Moxie's fan! Having visited the one in Toronto I tried the Dallas location. Now that Plano has one I took my family. Although it was lunchtime on the weekend, it was empty. Perhaps because of its relationship to the hotel, people didn't think to stop in. I assume evenings are busier. The food was great! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the complimentary mimosas were a nice touch. The atmosphere and decor are nicely done with a modern flare. read more

This place is seriously legit. The service is wonderful - our waitress last night was extremely attentive and kind. The hostesses were very personable and very helpful. The food? Well, above par! Though the menu seems all over the place (ranging from American, to Japanese, to Indian, to Asian-fusion .. just to name a few) each dish is thoughtfully prepared and executed beautifully. The decorum is very modern and posh. The lighting next the tables was my only complaint; it was too bright and hindered your vision of others sitting across from you and made for terrible pictures. Music was hype and the ambiance was relaxed. This place is def on the revisit list! read more

Moxie's serves great food and offers a nice environment, but my five star review is thanks to our server, Brooklynn. Her amazing energy and fun, positive attitude really made the experience exceptional. Moxie's definitely has loyal customers in us now because of her. We will be back soon and often to give them as much business from ourselves as possible in addition to all of our friends, since we are telling everyone about our great time at Moxie's in Plano! read more
