After reading the rave reviews on Angie's List for "Moving U", particularly the one that said that I didn't need to look any further than these guys, I decided to take their word for it. I called and spoke with Eric and was relieved to schedule a move for 8 am the next morning. That next morning, Ron and Oli showed up at 7:45a, they said they would have called first but there was a mixup with my telephone number. I showed them the things that needed to be moved and they got started. It was nice and very professional of Eric who called about an hour later to make sure that Ron and Oli had arrived (since there had been the mixup with the phone number). I was moving much of the content of a 900 sq. ft ranch house to a 1565 sq. ft 2-story townhouse. Some of the more notable items to be moved were a heavy queen-sized bed and nightstand, couch and love seat, buffet, two large shelves, two sets of washer and dryers, 5 large metal utility shelves, a large floor mirror, two smaller mirrors, a large piece of glass, heavy solid wood table and 20-30 boxes and bins (which almost unanimously went to the second floor). Everything that needed to be was wrapped neatly and securely in blankets or cellophane. I had a VERY heavy armoire that I asked them to move out of the back room of my house to the garage so that I could sell it. It was quite impressive to see the effort they put into moving such a massive and demanding piece of furniture. I needed to have my stacked full size washer and dryers unhooked, unstacked and pulled out of a tiny closet in the house and moved to a larger side by side upstairs closet at the townhouse while also having the existing washer and dryer removed and taken to the downstairs garage. Since my washer and dryer had been stacked, The guys alerted me that the washer was missing the feet - I was a bit dismayed at that news, but then was pleasantly surprised when Ron told me (after getting to the other property) that he was able to remove the feet from the existing washer and make them work on my washer. Then Ron discovered that my washer had a three prong cord and the closet required a four-prong cord. Ron removed the cord from the old washer and attached it to my washer. They disassembled my bed and reassembled it at the new residence and, as a bonus, fixed the threading on one of the support legs of the bed. Oli lifted a large rock out of my existing yard so that I could take it to my new yard. Later, at the new place, Ron strolled by pushing the rock on a dolly and exclaimed, "Look! Rock-n-roll!" (I thought that was quite cleaver). My father brought a heavy table on the back of a pickup truck and they carried that in as well. Ron and Oli worked well as a team. They communicated very well with each other and with me, and as a result moved my belongings with great care and precision; there was no damage to my belongings and the walls were not bumped or scratched. I underestimated the time it would take for my move. There is a three hour minimum ($80/hr plus $40 gas fee) and I didn't think I would have enough to move for three hours, but my move ended up being 5.5 hours. Ron and Oli worked straight through with maybe one or two 15 min breaks and a couple of 5 minute breaks- they showed great endurance and strength and made my move a positive and uplifting one. Ron and Oli really went the extra mile with everything they did and were very honest, hard-working, positive, and knowledgeable people. I have a great memory of a great move, and I agree that you don't need to look any further than Moving U! Thanks so much! read more

We moved this past July and had never hired movers before, so were a bit anxious as to what to expect, especially after reading disconcerting reviews for many moving companies in the area. Moving U was recommended to me by someone in a Facebook group, she had a great experience. I read many reviews online and requested a quote. Erik responded quickly and, out of the 3 moving companies we contacted, theirs was the only one that offered an in-person estimate, which I really liked. They were very accommodating when we had to switch our moving date (last minute) due to issues with the closing on our house. We couldn't get the help we were originally quoted for (4 guys and 2 trucks originally, but after the schedule change it was 1 truck and 3 guys), but I didn't want to go with another moving company, so we decided to make it work. My husband and I rented a u-haul and moved all of our boxed stuff ourselves - Erik even told us what size truck he thought we would need to rent. And he was spot on! Our stuff packed perfectly (front all the way to the loading door, top to bottom) into the u-haul. We saved all of our furniture items and other miscellaneous things for the movers. The day of the move, the movers called to let us know they were on their way and they showed up right on time. Well, two of them did. One guy hadn't arrived yet, so the guys didn't start the clock until he did show up. Which I really appreciated. I'm not sure what the deal was with the 3rd guy, he just wasn't nearly as friendly, approachable or talkative. He was also the one that arrived late (I believe he showed up about 30 minutes late). But Oliver and Poncho were right on time and they were amazing! There just didn't seem to be much need for that 3rd guy anyways. They took great care when loading and unloading all of our belongings. When they arrived at our new house, they put runners down on the floor and put everything exactly where we needed it. Oliver and Poncho were the NICEST guys ever! They joked around with us and our kiddos. They made the move much more enjoyable. And as it turns out, our move went really quick and cost us quite a bit less than the original quote. Of course, us having to move some of the stuff ourselves and rent a u-haul changed the final amount a bit, but still. Nice to save some money. And as an added bonus, I'm happy to report that not one thing was broken or scratched! Not our belongings, furniture, walls, banisters, nothing. No damage at all. From start to finish, from meeting with Erik for our estimate all the way to paying the movers for a job well done, I just can't express how pleased I am with this company. I will, without a doubt, recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent moving company. read more

We needed someone to help us pack our entire house and then load a truck for our cross country move. It all happened really quickly so finding movers with availability who were high quality was a top priority. I hopped on Yelp and saw a few companies on top but beware - a lot of them had high reviews BUT if you do some digging, they have those reviews becasue they take $25 off the bill if you write a positive review on Yelp and if you write a negative review, they call you and offer you $100 to take it down and/or write something positive. I didn't have time to deal with scammy dishonest companies who are going to play games like that. If you are good at what you do, good feedback will come and will come for free. That's when I saw Moving U and the reviews appeared more authentic. Kiril came to our home to give us a proper estimate of anticipated expenses, which I appreciated since seeing the place was really the only way to give an educated cost estimation. After meeting him, we were confident we were in good hands. On moving day, George, John, and Dion arrived at 7:30 am and worked diligently and swiftly. They handled our belongings with care and were overall a cool group of men. They were super friendly, fun to work with, courteous, and really kind to our 18 month old daughter who kept trying to "help" pack. They had the entire house packed by 1:30 in the afternoon, which was perfect time for us to head out of town towards our new home in Nebraska. The final bill was lower than I expected and absolutely fair for the service they provided. We will never pack and move ourselves ever again!!! Thanks Moving U for being a fantastic moving company. And thanks to George, Dion, and John - you guys are great and we're so glad to have met you. Take care :) read more

I called Moving U after hours back in June, not expecting to get a call back until the next morning. The office called me back shortly after I left my voicemail. I was a bit shocked that they monitored their messages so late, but I think that is indicative of how they operate as a company. I scheduled a walk-through with Kiril, which went very well. He really left no stone unturned as far as what to expect with the move, should I hire them. After considering other options, Moving U, on paper, looked to be the best option, so I scheduled them for the following week. This in-home estimate was free, BTW. On the scheduled date, the crew called first to inform me that they were on their way, and promptly showed up at the agree-upon time. The crew of three, Raymond, Isaac, and Jalen (sp) were eager to get to work. I had done some preparation of the household items, such as wrapping electronics, paintings, etc, and I had some of the furniture disassembled as I wanted to save some time overall. I also had the mattresses wrapped in plastic. I did, however, have a LOT of heavy boxes (books) that they had to move. The crew got right to work. They worked hard. They worked fast. They were careful with furniture and mirrors. They were pleasant, and fun to joke with. They quickly loaded the truck, and drove to the new house, where they quickly unloaded the truck. They finished very quickly! They were efficient, professional, and the price of the move was super-reasonable, better than expected. All in all, I will hire this company again. They preformed beyond expectations. Thanks Raymond, Isaac, and Jalen (sp), and owner Kiril. read more

We called Moving U at the end of July regarding a move from Bailey, CO to Commerce City, CO. Peter was very friendly and helped get us an over the phone estimate but also worked it out with K to come on up to Bailey and give us a better in home estimate. Moving U was the ONLY moving company we could find from Denver that offered to come all the way up to Bailey to give us an in home estimate! Peter and K showed up at our house a couple of days later to do a walk through and discussed everything thoroughly. Peter then worked with us to schedule our move for 8/28/13. Moving U called us the day before our move to confirm times with us. Oliver called us first thing the morning of the move to let us know they were on their way and he and Poncho showed up right on time on 8/28/13. They were extremely polite and did a wonderful job with every item they moved. They also helped box a couple of items that were we unable to get to beforehand and went up and down stairs all morning long trying to get all of our furniture out of the house. After getting everything unloaded and placed where we requested in our new home, Oliver and Poncho asked us several times if there were any final things they could do for us before heading home. After an almost 10 hour move they were still as friendly and polite as they were first thing in the morning. All in all, the total came in just slightly over the estimate and we are in our new home thanks to Moving U. What a great group of guys! We highly recommend Moving U if you're looking for movers!! read more

These guys moved me last week. And thank god for them! I had a large house move from Aurora to Lafayette and was dreading having to pack (we have 3 young children with lots of toys) and move. Called several companies based on reviews from Yelp and Google to get an idea of costs involved. Moving U was one of those companies. The owner, Kiril came and gave an estimate and out of curiosity I inquired about packing serves too. He was SUPER NICE and PROFESSIONAL answered all my questions, and provided an estimate for both options. His estimate wasn't the lowest price, but I felt most comfortable with him and thought his estimate was most accurate. I ended up having them pack and move us. BEST decision ever! It was a two day job (packing on one day and moving the next) I had Ray, Alex, George, Pancho. These guys worked like a well-oiled machine. It would have taken me weeks to get packed and they did it in a day. The owner stopped by to say hi and see if I had any questions or concerns. I really appreciated that. I guess that is the kind of great service when you go with a smaller business, personal attention. After all was said and done the estimate was spot on. I have unpacked and not a thing broken. BEST experience ever! Thank you Moving U and all the guys and the owner. read more

We used Moving U last weekend when consolidating households with my fiance. The move was tricky: we started in Castle Rock to pick up furniture, made a stop in DTC to pick up more furniture and my household miscellanea, and finished in Greeley by UNC. Three things stood out to me immediately about these guys: 1. They were the only business (from the several I had called) willing to give me a quote without demanding all of my information 2. They have a very simple, transparent fee schedule (by the hour flat, plus gas fee flat) that worked out very nicely given our logistics 3. They were willing to accommodate all our needs, down to recommending minor adjustments and offering extra help once they arrived and saw the scope of our move For the actual move, we had the pleasure or working with Panco and Walter. They were extremely personable but no-nonsense, an exceptionally good team professionally, thorough and careful with my belongings, prompt load and drive times, and unbelievably helpful with things I hadn't even packaged up yet. They come absolutely prepared with wrap, blankets, a red carper, boxes, and a very positive attitude, and can help you with absolutely anything. A fantastic experience that, in retrospect, we could not have had without them. Highly recommend. read more

I am rarely moved to review anything online, but Moving U was so good that I wanted to share my experience and encourage others to use their service. Their quote was extremely competitive relative to the others we sourced, and they still ended up coming in below that when all was said and done. The crew we had (Pancho, DeShawn, and Alex) was on-time and extraordinarily efficient. They took great care to prepare both the home we were vacating and the home we were moving into for their traffic up and down stairs, protecting our floors, banisters, walls, etc. Their coordination and precision moving even our heaviest objects was almost supernatural; you could tell that they were extremely capable and experienced working as a TEAM. Seriously... it was like they were telepathic with one another. AND, they were funny and personable. Cheerful! They made what is typically a stressful situation much more relaxing and enjoyable. Both homes and all of our stuff were totally unscathed. Their hustle and efficiency ended up saving us hours off the estimated time, resulting in a lower-than-expected total cost. I would not hesitate to ask for them by name for any future moves. Most companies and services are merely "fine." Moving U was truly a cut above. read more

In the last 2 years, I've used three different moving companies in the Denver area. I have to say, these guys are absolutely the best! This is the second time I used their services, and both times they showed up on time and did am amazing job, and their prices are fair too! Most recently, Ray and Rich showed up, and they were super fast but also very helpful and careful not to damage anything. They came very early in the morning and were ready to go! They had the necessary supplies and knowledge how to get things done! Both guys were nice and professional, and they worked well together and had me into my new place in no time. MovingU completely saved the day, as the other company I hired for a move the day before (decided to use someone else to save money with a Groupon...huge mistake), never even showed up. MovingU provides a quality service at a good price. Scheduling was hassle free and fast, the move was a breeze, and customer service even followed up during and after the move to make sure everything is running smooth and as planned. Absolutely the best moving experience. If you want to turn moving into a stress free process, use the MovingU guys! I'm never using anyone else to move. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! read more

I had to call the police on the owner of Moving U, LLC. My experience was fine until it came time to pay, when they informed me that they had a three hour minimum. None of the paperwork, emails, Web site, or communication I had with them before that point ever mentioned the minimum. I had a very small load and selected them because the quote response said "We will charge only for actual time and we charge by the quarter hour. At Moving U, LLC we have no hidden charges. The time starts and stops at your door..." When I said that this policy was both undocumented, they immediately began yelling at me and threatening me to the point where a tenant in my new building came out and asked to call the cops. Apparently they had caused this same scene three weeks before at the same building. They were incredibly mean and after we finally negotiated a price (which was for more money then they had earned), they were so angry that they would not provide me a copy of the paperwork and nearly ran me over trying to leave before the cops came. The verbal threats were reported to the police and will also be reported to the BBB. read more

I am not a reviewer. But I feel like everyone should know how amazing this company is (I am creating a Yelp account to leave this review). I was approved to move into my apartment very quickly, and I had already rented a truck, so I only needed the help unloading the truck. I called around to get the best deal and Moving U was the most reasonably priced - a competitor quoted me at twice the price point for the same amount of time! The man I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and able to help me schedule two movers with only a weeks notice. My dad and friend helped me load the truck from the garage to the truck; it took the three of us 30 minutes to load it. When Ray and Frankie arrived to help me, they busted their asses and unloaded everything in my 10ft truck, up to my third floor apartment. And it only took them 40 minutes! They even told me and my dad to wait inside since it was supposed to snow. They were fast, efficient, and kind. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help moving. Five starts is not enough, and ask for Frankie and Ray! read more

I used Moving U to move a senior from her home into a Senior Living Center on January 25. It was the first time I have done business with them and they created a very positive first impression. I met with their sales rep, Erik, recently and he was very honest with the services they provide and the pricing and they came highly recommended from a colleague. Oliver and Jeff were very professional during the move. They were careful with my clients furniture and possessions and they were very customer service oriented. They asked questions, they were friendly and they were both hard workers. They got all of the furniture into the apartment and even helped us do some fine tuning once they got everything off the truck. My client had a long sofa that wouldn't fit on the elevator so they carried it up the stairs to the second floor which I thought was above and beyond, and there were no complaints at all. I also thought the pricing was fair, actually lower than anything I've found up to this point. I will definitely use Moving U in the future. read more

This team did such a great job moving us today! It was easy to get the day/time we wanted, and coordinating was simple. They contacted us prior to the move to confirm. The team was able to start 30 minutes early (in the morning) which was awesome since we took off work to move; they called ahead to see if that was okay and showed up promptly after we said yes. Pancho, Walter and Joshua took care of all of our belongings, and they even helped us move a washer/dryer out of our basement to a truck for someone who had purchased them from us off of Craigslist! We finished moving just before the quoted time, which means we have plenty of time to unpack. I appreciate how courteous and friendly the guys were and how much attention they paid to the details. The team made sure that we were happy with everything before they left. Everything made it in one piece, and we're excited to settle in to our new place. 10/10 would recommend this team to anyone making a move, and we will use them again if/when we need! Thanks again Moving U! read more

We contracted Moving U to move our 82 year old mother to a Retirement Village. Anthony and Michael arrived before scheduled time and did a walk through of what was needed to be moved prior to starting. They listened to our requests and concerns about some of the items. Had a lot of heavy pieces of furniture, but they handled all with ease. They had everything packed up ready to transport within 2 hours. The elevator at the Retirement Village closest to our mother's unit was not operating, so they had to use the elevator on the opposite end of the facility and haul all the way across. Maybe got 1/3 done when it down poured. They took the precautions needed to protect mom's belongings. Through all the obstacles, they keep a smile and pleasant demeanor. We were all so amazed on how easy they made this move for us and what wonderful guys they were. We would recommend Moving U to anyone needing this service. Michael and Anthony were the best. This is the 1st time I've used a moving company and i couldn't be more happier using them. Anthony and his colleague (forgot his name ) was great and have such delightful attitude while helping me first thing on a Sunday. I spoke to the owner Kiril and he was pleasant too. I don't generally leave reviews but i recommend this company due to their professionalism and fair charge. There's no hidden fee. And i have a pretty high standard when it comes to a service company and customer service since I am in a service industry myself. Thank you for making my life easier by helping me move to my new house. I just used them on 12/27. Btw, they were willing to make a stop to pick another item and it was 18 degrees outside. A crew of 2 came and due to my lack of packing, the moving took longer because they helped me pack what i wanted them pack still. There is a truck fee of $50 and min 3 hrs job at $90/hr. But they were fast considering everything they had to do for me. read more
