I've used them twice already -- service and professionalism is top notch. They are on time and are very careful with my stuff. Their price is fair and much less than a big name moving company. Unlike big moving companies which assigns you a time, these guys work with you around the clock. So if you have to work, they will work with you in the evening -- it's a big convenience! One advise for everyone is that you should try to organize and pack small stuff before they arrive. They have two men and small stuff takes a lot of time to move if they are not boxed. read more

Two of the most polite and strong young men moved my mom from her Bloomington home to Westminster Village with no easy route to her new place (in the middle of a building and on the second floor). I been shopping around and came across Moving By Marcus, he was very rude. Its hard to believe this company has all these good reviews. First of all, he was busy during a move job. So it seem like he was trying to rush me off the phone. Im moving from Pekin,IL to Arizona. Told me I was looking at $3000-$5000. Which was 3 times over the amount of other quotes I been given. I told him I needed movers because how small I am with Screws and rods in my back. He then reccommended I rent my own uhaul and movers to save me money. Which confused me when I was looking for movers to load and unload. I asked who I was speaking with and informed him that his tone and response was very unprofessional. He then told me, and I quote. "Well go find someone else" Then hung up on me before I could say anything else. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Horrible customer service. No stars from me!! read more

Moving is never a fun time and when you have 30 years of accumulated "treasures" the thought of moving even weighs on you more heavily. Faced with what we hope to be our last move we decided to reach out to a moving company and help us with all the lifting and work of traversing up and down the stairs. After an internet search we found Moving Help by Marcus. I called and was very impressed with Marcus just through our conversation. We went ahead and booked Marcus and his crew. They arrived promptly to our home in McLean and immediately went to work. My wife and I enjoyed a sausage biscuit at the table as the activity swirled around us. I had been leery of hiring movers because I had read reviews about how movers were sluggish and seemed to be padding the time clock with how slowly they moved. Nothing could have been further from the truth with Moving Help by Marcus. Not only did they work quickly and efficiently, they were courteous and kind throughout the day. They expertly loaded the rented UHaul and were able to pack it to the maximum limit! When we arrived at our new home the unpacking went very, very quickly. We had boxed everything prior to their appearance and clearly labeled the boxes as to which room they were to be delivered. The crew informed us that not everybody has things packed, labeled, and ready to go, and how much they appreciated our preparedness. I have now referred Moving Help by Marcus to two other friends and will be referring them again in the future. They made our move a wonderful experience!
