They will ask for a lot if detailed questions about your move to set a fair price. They kept in contact by text throughout our day of the move, was able to accommodate a later start time due delay in picking up our keys, showed up on time, and were friendly throughout the day. They moved items into the right rooms as instructed and even were careful not to dirty our new white carpets. They also notified us of some furniture with damage while in our storage unit, prior to moving it. They were in and out in about 2 hours and gave us a cash flat rate for the entire job. This is the best and hands down most professional moving company we have ever used!! The owner is Kevin and he was fantastic!! He came out to the house the week before to give us an estimate. They don't get paid by the hour, it's a flat rate and they truly work their asses off!!! We had two complete houses in two different cities that we were combining down to one. Great mover! They communicated with me They were early for the appointment and did an almost impossible job moving through narrow spaced gates and getting on a platform for the playhouse! Because of the narrow spaced maneuver some singles came off, scratched paints off but it was near impossible scenario to move so it was ok the sacrifice. I got few quotes but none of them could help except him because of the size and weight. My mom needed to move from her Assisted Living center in Brentwood to one in Antioch. Based on the Yelp reviews, I hired Movers with Maneuvers. First, as soon as you sign up online for a quote, they get back to you.( Even if it is Friday before a three day holiday weekend) (One other mover that gets lots of 5 star ratings on Yelp took six days to get back to me after I'd filled out their form!) Since I had photos of her apartment plus individual photos of the furniture pieces and the sizes of each, they were able to get back to me with a quote the same day.Very reasonably priced. I wound up talking to Kevin a few times regarding the move. They answer the phone right away, and confirm your emails. Very professional. On moving day, they showed up promptly on time. Kevin came with two assistants. They shrink wrapped every piece of furniture (mom has some 100+ yr old antiques) thoroughly to keep drawers in place and to prevent scratching. The few things I had not packaged...a couple marble furniture tops, two oversized paintings, were wrapped securely in big moving padded blankets, all handled carefully. At her new apt, they arranged the furniture as requested, and put the packaged bins into the rooms labeled. (Very thoughtful, so we did not have to schlep them around). Everything came through without a scratch, nothing broken. They had been careful not to just drop the prepackaged bins onto the floor (well wrapped contents, but lots of ceramic and breakable stuff). My experience with MWM today was awesome. Movers seem like they just never show up on time. These guys were 15 minutes early. They were nice, efficient, and reasonably careful with the 11 pieces of furniture I needed moved. They were not delicate, but based on their demeanor i would trust them with more delicate things. They made sure to keep track of the little keys that went to each piece of furniture and were observant. They confirmed the night before, let me know in the morning when they were leaving, and then after pickup, let me know when they were 30 minutes away from the dropoff location. It was a solid drive- especially if they came from Antioch. We had to meet in Livermore, and dropoff in Sunnyvale. Given that they had 2 guys and a box truck, the rate was very reasonable and i definitely felt happy to tip. I plan on working with them going forward if i can, just because it is worth a lot to know someone will actually show up, and especially show up on time. I needed a Tuff shed moved across my yard for a landscaping project and I was referred to Kevin and his company to do the job. He was very responsive and it was easy to communicate what I needed, getting a quote and getting the job scheduled. He and his crew arrived on time and did a great job with the shed. It was a tricky space to move it into and they did it with ease, they used hand operated gear so my narrow side access was not a problem. The shed was moved again by them at a later date after my project. They also helped me with leveling another shed in my yard. They were careful and there was no damage to the metal base frame which can be bent easily on Tuff sheds. Incredibly happy with the job and the quality of work.
