This company conducted a site visit, took detailed measurements, and reviewed the overhangs. They…read morewere the only party with full knowledge of the conditions and the technical expertise to determine where and what type of support - if any- would be required. Despite lengthy email communication and an approved drawing, Creative Habitats never identified or called out any need for brackets. The first countertop cracked, and they blamed the support around our grill. That turned out to be inaccurate. Then they blamed the island's foundation. That also turned out to be inaccurate. At no point did they ever say that the overhangs needed support, despite more site visits. After the first failure, they expressly stated that they would coordinate with the pool contractor (they guy they blamed) before reinstalling the replacement. I provided his contact information for that purpose. That coordination must never have occurred, and this company sent installers again to proceeded with installation even though no brackets were in place. The second countertop cracked under the exact same conditions. Creative Habitats chose to reinstall twice on the same structure. These decisions were negligent and directly caused both failures. This company was supposed to have the expertise and visibility to prevent this outcome, and failed to do so -- twice.

When Nese, the owner, finally responded, she was breathtakingly rude and arrogant -- she said we spent only a few thousand dollars and are not worth her trouble. I've never experienced "customer service" like this before in my life. I see that several others had similar experiences, and my contractor phoned me up a couple of years after my experience to tell me he was dealing with a client in tears over Nese's treatment. I would never support this business again. Truly awful.
