I had a company that was supposed to transport a vehicle for me and their service to say the least was awful. I was left scrambling 13 mins to 5 when I looked on yelp for other companies. That's when I called AATT and Peter answered my call. I am sure he wanted to go home but nevertheless he ended up calling me back 30mins after they were closed and agreed to help. They went above and beyond to do so. The price was amazingly reasonable compared to others. They made sure to stay in contact and I was never left wondering what was happening. I shipped my Porsche 911 with All American Trucking & Transport last week. They were highly responsive (without being pushy, like some of the other companies that called or texted me repeatedly) and flexible with options (open and enclosed). They were also very thorough with their inspection process and delivered my car within the promised period. Pricing was transparent and they did not charge more than their estimate. The key reason why I picked them is that they have a drop-off location in Burlingame. It made it a lot easier to coordinate drop-off, as I did not have to physically be present when truck picked up the car. Some of the other companies required that I plan my travel around when the truck would pick up my car in the Bay Area and when they would deliver it at my destination. Mediocre experience. Yes, my car arrived within the promised delivery window. But the delivery driver tried to cover up a tiny dent to my back trunk door. I'm not sure if it was caused during transport or during storage at All American in Burlingame. Since the dent was not properly noted during the delivery process, there was no records to file an easy claim. All American did offer (eventually) to pay me back a flat fee, but the whole thing felt weird. I decided to not to pursue it any further and move on with life. My recommendation if you use their service: wash your car before drop-off so all dents/scratches are clear, take your own timestamped pictures of your car's dents and scratches during the inspection process at drop-off so you have additional proof, and don't let the delivery drivers leave until you've done a thorough inspection and done a phone call with All American with the driver present. But next time, I'm using a different service. read more

Then I decided to go on Yelp and look for a local company. I did not actually use All American, so I cannot speak to the specifics of their reliability, etc. They were recommended to me and I called them. I got a quote to move a car from Illinois to California for $1200 if we had a four-day pick-up window or $1500 for a three-day pick-up window. I ended up going with another company for $700 and a four-hour pick-up window, and the car arrived early and without any problems. I found the lengthy pick-up window and price to be a bit ridiculous. If you don't mind these things, I'm quite sure they would otherwise do a good job moving your car. read more

This is among the worst car moving companies you can find. Our movers suggested we use All American (clearly they get their share for referrals). 1) First of all, they are not responsive. I was working with an agent that did not respond my calls and emails unless I follow up a few times. 2) They only allow 50 lbs in the trunk. We had overweight for which they charged us, which was fine. But I was expecting them to charge me, not asking my friend who was supposed to receive the car to give the driver CASH. 3) They were supposed to deliver the car to my friend's place but the driver asked him to meet in a Mall. This is unacceptable. We signed the papers indicating clear address for delivery and they did not give me any heads up that our car will not be delivered to my the address we assigned. 4) They OVER CHARGE! The driver accidentally send me a picture of the amount they charged All American to show I had overweight. They only charged All American $550 and they charged me $1200. This is a huge margin. 5) They did not send me the receipt yet after following up with them twice. 6) I ended up cancelling shipping our second car with All American and chose Stateway Auto transport. They only charge me $900, they said I am allowed to fill the car up to 100 lbs. They said I can also put things in the car as long as it does not pass the window level. They gave me exact pick up and delivery dates instead of 3 day windows that All American gives and their customer service is great. Update: The same exact driver and moving company picked our second car up. The company shipping both our cars was Nao Auto. The only difference: 1)All American charge a lot more (maybe they cannot negotiate their prices down but that is not the customer's problem). 2) they claim they take care of everything. Stateway was super clear. They emailed me the exact amount Nao Auto charged them and the amount they have to be paid before my car was picked up. read more

Smooth as silk. We had our Ford Explorer shipped from San Francisco to Atlanta. I dropped the vehicle off (after hours at their lot) on a Sunday night. We flew to Atlanta the next day. My vehicle was delivered to Atlanta one week later. I was notified the day before that the driver was making his way to my location a few days before his actual arrival. As the day approached, the driver called to let me know his estimated time of arrival. He was very informative of his whereabouts and was able to deliver the vehicle right to my location. What can I say about this company in a nutshell? How about THEY ARE FREAKIN AMAZING!!! Let me say, I had never had to have a car transported before , so when I ended up buying my 2018 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels Edition Camaro from a Texas Dealership, I was lost on how to get to me in California! I started arching the web and getting quotes from various companies , completely confused on the process. Most these companies were very vague about pick up and drop off and general questions I had on how it worked... I was becoming worried I would get scammed. After getting pretty far in the process with one company I happened to come across a YELP review on it and it was awful!!! At that same time I did a search on local transport companies ( most I was dealing with were out of state) and came across All American trucking and transport.... OMG it was like finding a UNICORN!!!! They were completely transparent with me on the reality of what it would take to get my Camaro from Texas to California and explained everything in a very understandable way considering I had no experience with this what so ever... every step of the way they were on top of it and in less than a day ( other companies said it could take a month to find a trucker) they found a trucker to transport my Camaro to me and god damn it , in less than a week, my Orange hot rod was sitting in my driveway!!! We booked through Ashton Silverman and Wilmer was our driver. We wanted a tandem truck so nothing would be above our Mercedes S550. Working with Ashton was easy-he was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and honest. I didn't have to haggle or wonder if there would be an increase in charges once picked up or delivered. Once Wilmer picked up the car on schedule, he advised that he wouldn't be headed to Illinois until the next day due to a delay. I appreciated his honesty. He picked up Wednesday evening and delivered on Saturday, which was when we would arrive in Chicago. It was a smooth pick up and delivery. I used this company 2 years ago and they were flawless in transporting my car from SoCal to South Florida. It took them about 4 days to deliver my vehicle, and it got there without a scratch. Of note: the order was actually fulfilled by A Unique Transport out of Glendale. So I decided to use them again, since I read many horrible reviews about other companies. This time around, the service was pretty terrible coming back to SoCal. They had my car for 10 days and NOT A WORD from All American Transport about where my vehicle was or anything. I'd expect at least one call, since they had my $20,000 car, but nothing. I had to personally contact them myself to find out when my car would be delivered. And when it was delivered it was at the very tail end of the day that was emailed to me. And emails were not returned promptly, and several times before delivery, not at all. And when I called to get an update, the individual had no idea where my car was and couldn't provide an update. The drivers were nice on pick up and delivery, so I may possibly recommend to deal with A Unique Transport directly, but I won't be using All American Transport again or recommending them. If it wasn't for the good service 2 years ago, I'd give All American transport 1 or 2 stars. You guys need to improve your customer service. read more

Horrible experience. Let me tell you, moving a car is difficult. It's not just this company that is a scam but this is the one I went with so here's my review. The sales guy, Frankie, was great, made it seem like they were a legit company. The day of the move, I had to ask for an ETA. Only then did someone reach out to me to provide when the truck would be there. Then they provided an address to meet at (which makes sense, Alameda has some narrow streets). I head there but at no point did they say, look for a truck that says "All American". I had to ask for what I was looking for. At that point the driver left the meeting spot and went to Home Depot in Oak, no big deal. Just annoyed that they didn't tell me that and I had to ask. Then I finally meet the guy. Very unfriendly. He does the inspection. It takes about 20 minutes to do. At that point he then says, I have too much stuff in my car. (Mind you, I did, it was a horrible packing). After standing in the sun for 20 minutes, I was annoyed. He should have said this up front so I could figure things out before he started the inspection. I left that place and called the "coordinator". She was horrible. She acted like she didn't know that they lacked communication. Then Frankie calls and emails saying there was some miscommunication and that they could still take my car but I would have to pay an extra $100. Why the heck would I trust my car with these types of people? Heck no. Long story short, all moving companies for cars are shady. They are all brokers looking for someone else to pick up your car. If I had more time, maybe I would have found a legit moving company for cars. All the other companies I looked up after wards were just as shady as them so I ended up driving my car myself. Not ideal but at least I know I won't get scammed $1400. I'd think long and hard before deciding if you really want a company to move your car. read more

Yet again, they deliver. Pun intended. I sat in their front office while waiting for my ride and I overheard a sales guy talking to a customer. Leading up to my move it was a little hectic and I didn't remember all the things they told me.... But it was on my paperwork, and overhearing the conversation was a reminder. They tell you how long it takes to ship your car and what their guarantee is. They tell you no more than 50 pounds of personal items and it's a courtesy only. They tell you that sometimes trucks can't get all the way to your house, because these trucks are huge! We've all seen them, but have you ever stood next to one?? It blows my mind that people don't listen and then complain. I'll use All American all day to ship my cars as they do what they say they are going to do. I've used them a couple times and had no problems. Once I had to meet the driver a bit away from the house, but there was a dip in the road that somehow the driver knew was there. These big trucks are a lot lower than I expected and I see why he couldn't make it over the dip. No big deal, the car arrived just as expected. Expect some road grime, because it happens! read more

I don't have a Yelp account of my own, so I am using my fiancee's account. I moved across country from California to Massachusetts. Setting up the appointment with All American Trucking & Transport Inc was very fast and easy, especially since this was my first time doing something like this. I was worried it was going to be a more involved and difficult process. I would like to say that the first person who picked up my vehicle was really great. The guy kept calling me to let me know how close he was to the pickup location, when he would arrive, and if there were any delays. He was friendly and easy going, we chatted for a little bit when he arrived and he marked off any dings / dents on my vehicle during his inspection before loading it. Everything seemed great up until this point. I'm leaving 3 stars because there was a different person who dropped off my vehicle in Massachusetts and he was very difficult to work with. I was not personally there to pick up my vehicle, my fiancee was, and the driver she communicated with was unreliable. She received a call two days ahead of the scheduled arrival time to let her know the car would be dropped off between 3PM - 6PM and that she'd receive another phone call when they were half an hour away from the destination. This portion of the communication was good. Instead of that happening, she checked in herself when she heard no follow up. She was told the car was arriving at 7PM, an hour later than the arrival window of time. She repeatedly tried to confirm that they'd give her a call letting her know when they'd arrive, but the driver didn't seem to understand her and spoke very little English. There was no call letting her know they were running behind. She told me she struggled to communicate with the driver because he did not speak much English at all. She received no call 30 minutes ahead of arrival - instead, 15 minutes after 7PM she received an angry phone call in broken English asking why she wasn't there yet. Given they never checked in and were late, she wasn't even sure when to show up, so not having any heads up was difficult for her. I think my biggest worry was that the driver who dropped off the vehicle never asked for her ID or any proof that she was the person I marked down to pick up my vehicle. Anyone could have claimed it was theirs. The driver quickly gave her the keys, had her sign paperwork (and told her not to date it), then quickly left. There was no finished inspection to make sure any extra dings / dents / cracks, etc showed up during the drive from CA to MA. read more

I read lots of horror stories about people who'd shipped their cars cross county, and courtesy a relo for work, I got to choose whether to drive from DC to CA or ship the car. I shipped the car. Throughout the process, everyone was incredibly friendly, proactive in their communication, and helpful with questions. The only hiccup: a broken down truck 2 hours from final delivery. But they called me during my original delivery window, let me know about the problem, and got my car (slightly dirty, but certainly no worse the wear and definitely not as filthy as others led me to expect) to me the next day. I'd have given them five stars had they kept a simple promise. When the truck broke down, they said they'd call within the hour to provide an update. I didn't get the call for almost eight hours. Otherwise, I'm so happy I chose to put the Bimmer on the truck and enjoy the comfort of economy plus cross-country. Six hours of travel far superior to six days. read more

Then I spoke to Patrick at all American trucking transport. He explained to me that once he commits a price he stays with that and he will make sure that my vehicle gets to the destination. He was absolutely correct. Not only did the drop off go seamlessly including a free lyft ride to the city, but instead of his commitment to have my car to me in 14 days it got to me in seven days flat. The truck driver was nice enough to meet me at the place of drop off in New Jersey so I wouldn't have to pay extra for storage and the truck driver was awesome. He is friendly and he took great care of my car. I thought my car was going to come back dirty and dented and a real mess but it was perfect when it came back just a little road dirt but not even much. My car is a white car and I would notice it immediately but I didn't even take my car To the car wash yet because it's that nice. Then after I am driving home with my car I get a call from dispatch to verify that I got my car OK. I've spoken to two or three people at all American and everybody has been just fantastic. This was my first and only experience with transporting a car. Finding a company to do it felt daunting because there were so many options. All the companies I requested quotes from required a phone number and email to submit, and then I learned that information was shared with other companies, so I got bombarded with texts, emails, and calls from companies I had never looked into in the first place. This encouraged me to specifically look for a local company instead. Lucky Star Auto Transport had good reviews, so I asked for a quote. Zoltan got back to me and said he wasn't available for my preferred timeframe, but referred me to All American Trucking. I requested a quote and was contacted by Patrick, who was aware of my referral from Zoltan. I was already pleased with this slight personal touch. The quote was comparable and actually a little lower than the other quotes I had received, so after a couple emails and a phone to answer my questions, Patrick got my appointment setup easily! Daniela was my contact during the transport itself, and kept me updated via email per my preference. My car arrived with no damage, so can't complain about that! The only thing keeping this from being a perfect experience was that it was a bit inconvenient to hold off on making plans while waiting for pickup and delivery. I do believe this is just nature of the business, and to be fair, All American Transport is transparent about the fact that the driver doesn't want to give notice too early in case something comes up, but it can still hard to manage if you don't have flexibility in your schedule. In my case, the pickup window was Wednesday - Friday in San Jose to shoot for a weekend delivery in Seattle. My car was picked up on Friday, and my dad said he was contacted by the driver an hour before pickup. The car ended up arriving Monday morning instead, and the driver Dave contacted me at 11 PM Sunday night to let me know. He was really responsive and easy to work with to confirm the details. I just wish I had known earlier that it was on track for Monday, since I ended up staying (close to) home over the weekend just in case it arrived. Patrick did mention they might be able to guarantee a more strict time window, but it would cost extra. I opted to just take my chances, but if your schedule is more inflexible it may be worth exploring this option.
