When I told him his verbal 5-figure quote for my move was "horrifying," I asked for the price of just a pack & load. I believe he was upset about a number of things, primarily the undocumented quote rejection combined with the reduced scope of work. I also noticed he didn't listen well about needed to coordinate with my driver. I said the 7th was the move date. Several times. When I call him late last week to firm up times, payment, (cash or credit card + 4%,) my first call to him lasted 1 minute, according to Verizon. I've attached a record of the call sequence. He was very abrupt during the first call. He was on vacation and he didn't need me calling him. He did offer to call me back. He did. The first call back was 2 minutes later. The last two calls were in such close proximity to one another we must have been disconnected. While I can't prove a thing, I've had plenty of experiences talking with folks who had been drinking for a while. Personally, I'd classify our last telephone conversation as a drunken rant. Not a full-blown, nighttime "where's all the scotch?" drunkenness. He seemed to have a lesser load on. He was just obnoxious and his attitude came across that I was lucky to him consider taking my money. Last communication from Mr. Vickers that he was busy on Aug. 8-10, and, he was unable to do my move on the 9th. We never discussed the 9th. 1. When a quote/proposal to provide services is provided, a professional will provide a detailed document showing where my money is being spent. That never happened. 2. I was appalled by his behavior when I said I couldn't afford his price and I changed the scope of work.

Alan sent his team out for a 2 hour lunch, I still got billed for those 2 hours. Alan wanted to train skilled employees while on the clock, and deliberately told his employees to close up truck number 1 and deliver it half empty because it was getting late (it was 5:30 in the evening)!!! The truck didn't arrive to my new house until 8pm!!! This was the opportunity Alan took to seize my valuables on truck number 2 and basically held my belongings for ransom!! Where I had to pay an additional $1500 to my $5000 bill, not to mention $1000 for boxes and packing material. My entire bill came out to over $8000 for a 3 bedroom townhouse!!! Alan also refused to compensate for damages made to my belongings! His team is fantastic, I wish I could say the same about Alan. DO NOT LET ALAN VICKERS INTO YOUR HOME, AROUND YOUR PETS AND DEFINITELY NOT NEAR YOUR CHILDREN! He's not pet or toddler friendly! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

This is the policy they always have per the rep that I spoke to. I have NO reason to lie about this. Every mover I talk to had availability but not the right price. I did NOT call too late to book movers. Also, I just saw this reply as the owner waited 3-4 months later to sneak a dishonest reply. I dodged a bullet not working with this company. -------------------------------------------------------------------- I just called for a quote. I felt that the quote was reasonable for 3 movers. Unfortunately, the company was simply inflexible about the move time. They refused to accommodate a 2 hour window. I live in an apartment and we have to reserve the freight elevator. We can only book it for 2 hours. 150 movers will do 8am-10am moves or 11-3p. They will not do 2 hour increments after 10am which obviously would not work for me. It is a shame because. Most people moving from apartments, need to book a freight elevator. The person that I spoke to was courteous and professional. I just wish the company was more collaborative. Ah well, there are other companies.

When they arrived, they got straight to work. We were surprised by how fast they were able to move everything! They each were professional, polite and efficient. We have a tight spiral staircase in our new house, which is a pain to get furniture up. They kindly moved a whole office up the stairs without hesitation or complaints! We appreciated this because we know how much of a hassle it is to move up those stairs. They also were very careful with our items, they wrapped all the items that needed wrapping and carefully loaded and unloaded our stuff. Nothing was broken or damaged during the move. They were able to move 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an office and a kitchen in 3 hours (including a 20min drive to our new house). We were impressed by how quickly they got this done! The pricing is extremely reasonable. I feel that the quality of service was worth even more than they charged! This was such a positive experience and I highly recommend this company to anyone needing moving services! We will definitely be using them again!

After receiving multiple quotes from other companies, A Better Tripp Moving came it on the lower-end (although, I do believe they were running a promo at the time), didn't inundate me with calls to get me to choose them like multiple other moving companies, and I had always heard raving reviews about this mover in the past. Melvin was fantastic. He was alway friendly, quick to return my phone calls and provided an accurate quote after the in-home estimate. Day of the move, the movers arrived closer to the middle or end of the time slot they provided for arrival but were some of the most efficient, hard-working movers I've ever worked with. I can't recall how long it took for them to move my items, but they did an excellent job. Once my items were loaded onto the truck, they were going to be loaded onto the semi the next day that was heading to ATL. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room on the semi so the shipping of my items was delayed by a few days. However, it wasn't a big deal since the items would be sitting in a storage unit in a different state, so it really made me no difference. Even though Melvin knew that I didn't have a strict date in which these items would need to be in ATL, he was completely empathetic when he told me the news. I received updates from the Better Tripp Moving team once my items were loaded and they provided an accurate ETA on when the semi would make it to ATL. This was important since I wasn't in ATL at the time and needed to coordinate everything with a friend. For as many logistics were involved in this move plus the added fun of moving during a pandemic, A Better Tripp Moving made this is a seamless process, communicated with me at every step of the way, and really helped calm any nerves or anxiety I might have. In terms of the state of my items, there was a broken vase (I packed everything myself) and a broken desk drawer. But, for as many times my items had to be loaded on/off the truck and by other movers (not just A Better Tripp's Houston-based team), it's really difficult to say who was at fault. It's also rare for a long distance move to have absolutely 0 damages and I still felt incredibly satisfied with the overall experience and service I received that they are still well deserving of a 5 star review. In the end, I was happy to go with Pinpoint Movers anyway because they are family owned. I opted for a 3 person team. They moved quickly and the gentlemen that came to move my things were so kind. I was impressed with how they communicated with me. They gave me a one hour timeframe of when to expect them but called me at the start of that timeframe to let me know how many minutes away they were which was helpful because I was able to run a quick errand since I knew when they were arriving. They moved fast and efficiently. Very impressive. It was hard work as I moved to a third story unit with no elevator. In the end I had a couple of small cosmetic nicks to an end table and a nick on my doorframe, but all in all, it was a successful move in my book. I felt the pricing was fair for the service I received. They required two hour minimum and had a service charge I felt was very fair. I would use them again.

To make matters worse, I discovered that several items were broken or damaged during the move. They provided me with a quote and I set my date just as I requested. They moved my belongings very efficiently and safely. My furniture, mattress, dressers all were perfectly wrapped so no damage would occur nothing was moving freely inside the truck it was all tied down as well. It was delivered safely and damage free, the movers were very professional and courteous. I expected the cost to be expensive it was very reasonable, if you are in the houston area this is the company to use. Even so female owned company. Love prissy movers!!!!! Thank you for all your help
