I have a VERY unique bite, due to an undescended canine that remains high in my gum line. This means that most mouth guards will not fit comfortably in my mouth. After creating my mold I was concerned that they would not be able to make a guard for me when they saw the errant tooth, but it was not a problem for Mouthpiece Guy. I received my custom guard and it was a complete game changer. This thing fits my mouth perfectly, seals up right, and doesn't move or come loose while I'm being punched in the face recreationally. I was tired of using the cheap Amazon ones. I have a bad habit of playing with mine I'm constantly flicking it out of my teeth with my tongue and I knew one day I was gonna get caught and break my teeth. My coaches uses mouth piece guy. I went online designed it myself. Made the appointment to get my molding done at his office. Took about 20 mins. 3 weeks later I got it in the mail. It fits so damn good. Like a glove nice and snugged. I tried getting the mouthpiece off how I would with the other cheap one, no way in hell can it come off. I have to use my hands to get it off. I can talk better and more clearer with this thicker mouthpiece than the cheap thin Amazon kind. Teeth are expensive so if you're gonna get yourself a mouth piece might as well get one that will protect your teeth. I'll definitely be buying more. I was happy my teeth molding weren't ruined and was sent back to me so I can just take them in next time and get a new mouth piece. read more

BEST mouth piece I've ever had! I'm so glad I got a custom fitted mouth piece here. If you're taking your dental impression at home, I recommend getting extra putty (just in case you mess up the first time like I did)! The instructions and how-to video are simple to use. Customer service was great! I got a response very quickly when I sent my impression photos for approval. This review is long overdue but these mouth pieces are legit and worth every single dollar I spent. A couple of years ago I ordered a mouth piece from this place and ordering is hassle free. Once I got the actual kit it was simple to do, they also have youtube videos with a step-by-step guide on how to take a perfect impression. I sent it in the mail and once I got the actual mouth piece it was perfect. It had a good, tight and comfortable feel to it. It stayed in place! It never moved around or wiggled. I failed the impression kit twice. I was not very good at this, and decided since I would be in CA, I would get it fitted there. After making an appointment and popping in on time, we did the impression in about 20 minutes. Got it in the mail ~5 days later, and it fits well, and I have tried it in sparring. It feels different than any boil and bite (all I have had to this point) when on the other side of a punch. Its also not bulky and protects completely as it seems. The 'jolt' of being hit is diminished. I honestly like everything about this mouthpiece. It snaps in and fits like nothing else. The bite is comfortable and I can breathe better. The Mouthpiece Guy is the real deal! I designed one mouthpiece using their website and purchased a stock design as well. Jeff made some suggestions about my design when I was at their location. As a graphic designer myself, I was impressed by his ability to communicate with me and adjust elements to work best with the mouthpiece shape. But as others have said, Jeff is just fantastic once he has you in the chair and he's guiding you through the mouthpiece fitting itself. I am 39 years old and decided to start Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. As a white belt, I am not technically skilled and my whilte belt opponents aren't either. What ends up happening is both of us wildly flail around and you get accidental fists and knees to the mouth. First, I tried a Venum Predator mouth guard. It was boil and bite and cheap. I got kneed in the mouth and my teeth felt a little loose for a few days but it did its job. The main problem I noticed was after every class my lips would get cut. It was too bulky and the surface facing my lips were not molded smoothly so anytime my lips got any type of pressure it would catch and cut my lips. Next I tried Gladiator Pros. They were mail order so I made the mold at home sent it back and they sent me a mouth guard. The pros were it was very comfortable and light. I wore it for a couple classes but just hitting the mouth guard lightly I could tell it would not protect me from an accidental knee to the mouth. It was too thin and I felt like it did not distribute the shock well. I emailed them and they said its not the thickness that protects your teeth and that it's fine. That answer left a bit skeptical so I searched for a new mouth piece. Finally, I found Jeff AKA the Mouthpiece Guy. He offers multiple thicknesses(7mm, 8mm, 9mm) and it is full coverage. He does mouth guards for professional boxers and MMA fighters so they are proven by the best. If you are local, he does the molds for you in his office at no additional charge and gives you discounts on additional mouth guards made with the same mold. The molds are very detailed compared to what I got from Gladiator and you can tell he has a lot of experience doing molds. I got both the 7mm and 8mm and it feels very secure and comfortable. Both feel comfortable and I can hardly tell the difference between the two thicknesses so I just alternate them. If I got it again, I would probably get 8mm for more protection since I cannot tell the difference. I just got plain ones but he can do logos and customization also. The turnaround time for me was one and a half weeks and he helped make the bottom impressions when I picked it up. If you value your teeth, I would highly recommend the mouth piece guy. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the work is top notch. read more

During Black Friday I order a mouthpiece for myself and my kid. Paid for both impression ($30 value) and the mouth guards (price separately). Upon receiving the kits, they don't have a size tray that fits a 9 year old, and only have enough putty for one try each. Both of ours were not good enough to be sent off so I message them. Not only did they not offer to send some putty so we have another try, they told us we will have to pay for a new impression kit (not only putty). Please understand that we've already have the trays, all we need is more putty, which I will pay for if needed; but they want us to buy a new set (which will send out more trays we will end up throwing a way (another $30) wasted. I have used other company before this and guess what? They offer $15 for the shipping and kits with 2 tries for the both of us! So they offer us a refund but not for the kits. Unbelievable.
