I failed the impression kit twice. I was not very good at this, and decided since I would be in CA, I would get it fitted there. After making an appointment and popping in on time, we did the impression in about 20 minutes. Got it in the mail ~5 days later, and it fits well, and I have tried it in sparring. It feels different than any boil and bite (all I have had to this point) when on the other side of a punch. Its also not bulky and protects completely as it seems. The 'jolt' of being hit is diminished. I honestly like everything about this mouthpiece. It snaps in and fits like nothing else. The bite is comfortable and I can breathe better. I can see why so many professional fighters use his services. His work is well done and he is excellent at his craft. Thanks, Jeff! read more

Man I've been coming to this place since 2018. Not only do you get the best mouthpiece but you get the best service. You also get more than your moneys worth. If you're a fighter there's no second guessing here ! Come protect your teeth ! read more

I have a VERY unique bite, due to an undescended canine that remains high in my gum line. This means that most mouth guards will not fit comfortably in my mouth. After creating my mold I was concerned that they would not be able to make a guard for me when they saw the errant tooth, but it was not a problem for Mouthpiece Guy. I received my custom guard and it was a complete game changer. This thing fits my mouth perfectly, seals up right, and doesn't move or come loose while I'm being punched in the face recreationally. I couldn't recommend this product higher. 6 stars, 11/10, will never purchase a guard for another vendor. read more

First time, trying to order custom mouth guard. Everything went fine. They had video on YouTube for me to follow for the molding process. Took about a few weeks to get everything back. Pretty happy with the mouth guard. Haven't used it yet. Definitely, doesn't feel cheap at all. read more

I was tired of using the cheap Amazon ones. I have a bad habit of playing with mine I'm constantly flicking it out of my teeth with my tongue and I knew one day I was gonna get caught and break my teeth. My coaches uses mouth piece guy. I went online designed it myself. Made the appointment to get my molding done at his office. Took about 20 mins. 3 weeks later I got it in the mail. It fits so damn good. Like a glove nice and snugged. I tried getting the mouthpiece off how I would with the other cheap one, no way in hell can it come off. I have to use my hands to get it off. I can talk better and more clearer with this thicker mouthpiece than the cheap thin Amazon kind. Teeth are expensive so if you're gonna get yourself a mouth piece might as well get one that will protect your teeth. I'll definitely be buying more. I was happy my teeth molding weren't ruined and was sent back to me so I can just take them in next time and get a new mouth piece. read more

I had the opportunity to buy a mouthpiece for Muay Thai training. I looked up on yelp and also YouTube to find out what was the best mouthpiece out there. Well it led me to the mouthpiece guy. The wed site was nice with lot of info. So much info that I needed to make and Appointment to go down and ask questions more about the size and also what was a good fitted for me. The place was not big a one on one appointment help me out with what I needing and in 1 week had my mouthpiece ready to go. Over all my experience was great and recommended you come in for any custom mouthpiece. read more

This was a really great experience through and through from start to finish. I have a chronic illness and get told "No" from my doctors a lot when I want to play a certain sport. With a mission to defying odds comes the responsibility of making sure I stay on top of my health, so I figured I'd get a mouth guard for my BJJ and Muay Thai training as well as make it into a Medical Alert ID. God forbid something happens, I figure the mouthpiece can be visible enough for people to see and acknowledge or it'd be the first thing the medics might take out to see the writing. I went to the lab for my fitting and, as this isn't something I enjoy so much , they helped me relax and breathe and stay calm. About a week later, my mouth piece arrived in the mail and the boiling water and molding my teeth weren't difficult at all. I absolutely love my mouth piece and it really does help me feel safer and more confident knowing that my teeth are protected, as well as that my Medical ID is on me read more

BEST mouth piece I've ever had! I'm so glad I got a custom fitted mouth piece here. If you're taking your dental impression at home, I recommend getting extra putty (just in case you mess up the first time like I did)! The instructions and how-to video are simple to use. Customer service was great! I got a response very quickly when I sent my impression photos for approval. When I messed up my first impression, I received good feedback on how to fix my mistake on the next one, and my second attempt was approved immediately. My mouthpiece fits Perfectly, is comfortable, and I don't have to worry about it falling out. I can't wait to spar now... and get a second mouth piece with a different color combo! read more

Great product w/ easy and smooth transactions. I just want to say that when I ordered this product on Black Friday, I didn't know what to expect. I ordered a custom wrap mouth piece for MMA along with a dental impression kit for first time use at this company and also a 4 day rush order (I was anxious LOL). They sent it right away in a protected envelope and easy to use instructions to follow by. When completed and was confirmed good to send back it only took about a week to get to me without any problems what so ever. I'll remind you all that I live in Colorado and the company is based out in California. Upon receiving the mouth guard I was extremely blown away by the detail and how efficient the whole team was with answering my questions and also feedback on the product itself. I will be recommending this product and store to more athletes for sure. Don't be fooled by the imitators. Mouth Piece Guy is the real deal for quality professional mouth guards. Thank you again MPG team! read more

This review is long overdue but these mouth pieces are legit and worth every single dollar I spent. A couple of years ago I ordered a mouth piece from this place and ordering is hassle free. Once I got the actual kit it was simple to do, they also have youtube videos with a step-by-step guide on how to take a perfect impression. I sent it in the mail and once I got the actual mouth piece it was perfect. It had a good, tight and comfortable feel to it. It stayed in place! It never moved around or wiggled. I've used it for sparring and it did wonders, protected my teeth a lot better and it was so much easier to breathe. This mouth guard held up for years after I got it. Customer service is top notch. If I had a question they would get back to me within minutes. What I also love about this place is the owner Jeff takes pride in his work. Attention to detail is always there and in his videos he even shows why he is a step above his competitors. I recently had to get another one because I lost my original and again, ordering is hassle free and all my questions were answered quickly. Can't wait for my new piece to come in! read more

Words does not describe my gratitude for the owner Jeff. I could not get my mold correct for anything even after 2 attempts. The 2nd attempt was better than the first but he told me it would not be a good impression and he preferred not to use it. He then told me that he would be willing for me to set up a time to call him and would talk about my problem points of me taking a mold to correct for a better one. He stayed on the phone with me for like a hour answering all concerns & questions until I was confident enough to take my mold for the 3rd time. This last time came out perfect. Thanks again Jeff read more

I'm beyond impressed with the quality, the perfection, and the superb customer service from @mouthpieceguy. I was having issues with the impression and I reached out for assistance and the owner himself took time out of his day to facetime me personally to make sure I got it down. I know it was a frustrating hour for him because I was frustrating myself lol but not once did he try to rush me or talk down on me. I can't thank you enough. I'm a 48 year old masters division boxer in Arizona. I've been boxing for 8 years and recently decided that my store-bought, boil and wear mouthpiece was not cutting it. So I was referred to Mouthpiece Guy by my trainer at Irongloves Boxing Gym in Tempe, AZ. The cost was reasonable and the process was very good: I placed my order and within minutes received confirmation. Soon after that, within hours, I received a shipping confirmation. The molding process was very well explained and I was able to do it on the same day I received the package. Then it was shipped back for processing. I received my mouthpiece in about 10 days and couldn't be happier with it. It fits perfectly. It won't come out easily so you can breathe and talk with it in. I highly recommend Mouthpiece Guy. If you're a younger athlete it may be worth getting 2 so you have a backup. read more

I saw mouthpieceguys Instagram page and the cool designs and custom work caught my eye so I decided to order one. I can't believe the high level of customer service this man provided. I take my sport very seriously and this man takes his business and customers very seriously as well. I was home late after work one day and I needed help with the dental impression so I called and left a voicemail expecting to get a call back the following day. 10 minutes later it was mouthpiece guy! He coached me through my dental impression and answered all my questions-after hours! That's serious business and great customer service! Oh and the mouthpiece is perfect! We purchased a kit to make a pro mouthpiece, and let's just say... When he put the final product in his mouth.... he said "AMAZING! It even molds my gums." Thank you for the performance. Also if you're worried about the impression don't be, there are so many instructional videos online. read more

I came in for a jiu jitsu mouthguard after my failed attempts at the boil and bite mouthguard. I was helped by Jeff who explained to me the types of mouthguard to choose and he walked me through the fitting process to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this place for great service and excellent product! read more

If you are on here reading this because you are deciding whether or not to get one, just go ahead and order it. I have had two dental fit mouthguard's prior to the one I have now. When I picked it up I got in my car, I put it on and almost had a mini panic attack because it fit so well I thought it wouldn't come off. read more

Wow, what a difference a custom mouthpiece makes!!! I'd been using a regular mouthpiece that I bought from my gym and it left sores on the roof of my mouth. I had to constantly remove it because it hurt so badly to keep it in. A friend recommended The Mouthpiece Guy so I made an appointment and stopped by the shop to get more details. Jeff, the owner, was super professional and kind. He fitted me for a mold in a quick and easy process. A week later my mouthpiece was ready and it fit perfectly! It's a night and day difference between this one and the piece of crap that I bought from the gym. Do yourself a favor and get a custom mouthpiece from Jeff! I am 39 years old and decided to start Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. As a white belt, I am not technically skilled and my whilte belt opponents aren't either. What ends up happening is both of us wildly flail around and you get accidental fists and knees to the mouth. First, I tried a Venum Predator mouth guard. It was boil and bite and cheap. I got kneed in the mouth and my teeth felt a little loose for a few days but it did its job. The main problem I noticed was after every class my lips would get cut. It was too bulky and the surface facing my lips were not molded smoothly so anytime my lips got any type of pressure it would catch and cut my lips. Next I tried Gladiator Pros. They were mail order so I made the mold at home sent it back and they sent me a mouth guard. The pros were it was very comfortable and light. I wore it for a couple classes but just hitting the mouth guard lightly I could tell it would not protect me from an accidental knee to the mouth. It was too thin and I felt like it did not distribute the shock well. I emailed them and they said its not the thickness that protects your teeth and that it's fine. That answer left a bit skeptical so I searched for a new mouth piece. Finally, I found Jeff AKA the Mouthpiece Guy. He offers multiple thicknesses(7mm, 8mm, 9mm) and it is full coverage. He does mouth guards for professional boxers and MMA fighters so they are proven by the best. If you are local, he does the molds for you in his office at no additional charge and gives you discounts on additional mouth guards made with the same mold. The molds are very detailed compared to what I got from Gladiator and you can tell he has a lot of experience doing molds. I got both the 7mm and 8mm and it feels very secure and comfortable. Both feel comfortable and I can hardly tell the difference between the two thicknesses so I just alternate them. If I got it again, I would probably get 8mm for more protection since I cannot tell the difference. I just got plain ones but he can do logos and customization also. The turnaround time for me was one and a half weeks and he helped make the bottom impressions when I picked it up. If you value your teeth, I would highly recommend the mouth piece guy. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the work is top notch. read more

With 25 years of combined competing, training, and coaching experience, I have never had the opportunity to have a custom-made mouthpiece. I just received my first one in the mail, and immediately tried it on. I was absolutely blown away. The fit was absolutely perfect and super comfortable. Mouthpiece Guy has really changed the game. I just wish he was around when I was competing 15 years ago. Thank you, Mouthpiece Guy for your commitment to your product. It truly is the best! read more

The Mouthpiece Guy is the real deal! I designed one mouthpiece using their website and purchased a stock design as well. Jeff made some suggestions about my design when I was at their location. As a graphic designer myself, I was impressed by his ability to communicate with me and adjust elements to work best with the mouthpiece shape. But as others have said, Jeff is just fantastic once he has you in the chair and he's guiding you through the mouthpiece fitting itself. I'm sure that he's done hundreds (thousands?) of these and he knows just what to say as he prepares you for each step. Having that tray in your mouth isn't exactly a trip to Disneyland, but there's no one better to do it correctly than Jeff. I'm sure I'll add another star on this review when my mouthpieces arrive. Definitely recommended! read more

During Black Friday I order a mouthpiece for myself and my kid. Paid for both impression ($30 value) and the mouth guards (price separately). Upon receiving the kits, they don't have a size tray that fits a 9 year old, and only have enough putty for one try each. Both of ours were not good enough to be sent off so I message them. Not only did they not offer to send some putty so we have another try, they told us we will have to pay for a new impression kit (not only putty). Please understand that we've already have the trays, all we need is more putty, which I will pay for if needed; but they want us to buy a new set (which will send out more trays we will end up throwing a way (another $30) wasted. I have used other company before this and guess what? They offer $15 for the shipping and kits with 2 tries for the both of us! So they offer us a refund but not for the kits. Unbelievable.
