This is the very first and only item I'm trying return from many purchases I've made on Dick's online store. The store manager told me they can't accept the return because the shoes are creased, dirty and it looks like I've used them outdoor a bunch of times, after I told him I used it twice indoor. Basically he called me a liar. They asked me why is it creased. I told them you can have a brand new pair and take 10 steps in them, they will crease due to the design. I even offered to demonstrate with a new pair, then he immediately said "we don't sell those shoes here." He mentioned that he's been selling shoes for 18 years and my return is the 5th time someone trying to do the same thing that day. They keep asking me why didn't I try the shoes inside my home? Well, they're basketball shoes so I had to try it at an indoor run. What am I gonna do, play basketball inside my house? They also asked why I ordered it if I know it's half a size bigger, so I told them that it's recommended to order half a size bigger for Nike sports shoes. Honestly I don't know why I spent so much time arguing with them when they can just tell me that it's against policy and that's the end of it. I could have just left to do the return online (which I did, smoothly.) At least now I know why it's called DICK'S Sporting Goods, because they hire mostly dicks to work at this location.

Upon entering, I went straight to the middle of the store, where many Yeti and Stanley products are on display. It took me all of twenty seconds to find the perfect tumbler for my daughter. It was pink and glittery. I was a happy camper with the tumblar. The only negative for me was that I had a couple of questions regarding the tumblers and a few other items I was interested in purchasing; however, I was unable to locate an available employee to assist me, as the only two employees I observed were the two cashiers at the front of the store.

When I returned home, I visited this Big 5 location and spoke with a manager to return all three seats. There was an issue with the itemized items on my receipt, which caused the manager some difficulty, as the bar codes on the receipt did not match the codes on the merchandise. The manager resolved my issue within a few minutes, and I received my refund. The store manager was very helpful, friendly, and professional, and is to be commended for providing great customer service.

Christian was the gentleman that helped me out along side a trainee. I understand when training someone, things may take a while. And it did. Buuuuut, even though he was training someone while helping me out. It was still one of the fastest transactions I've experienced compared to other locations. Very knowledgeable in his line of work which is greatly needed especially dealing with legal transactions as these. Answered all my questions with understandable explanation with no hesitation. What I was most impressed about is how he was guiding his trainee. Never once belittled them when they would make a mistake or didn't understand a certain line on the paperwork. Instead would guide them on how to fix or correct it in a friendly and professional manner. Because I've seen managers do that before and it gets so awkward. When I realized the mistake, I politely asked if that item could be removed from the transaction. The cashier immediately responded, "I can't," and offered no explanation or attempt to help. A manager was called over and seemed visibly annoyed. We were told there were only two options: either void the entire transaction and wait approximately 20 minutes for the gift card funds to be restored, or pay the difference and then return the football cards afterward for store credit. Since there was no way I was spending an additional $63 on football cards, we chose to void the transaction and wait. We specifically discussed that it was Father's Day, that we needed to get to a family dinner, and that we would wait the required 20 minutes so my son could repurchase the correct items. The manager advised us to wait near the entrance or continue shopping. After the 20-minute wait, we spent another 15 minutes waiting for the same cashier to help us complete the purchase, only to discover that all of my son's items had been returned to the sales floor. We were then told, "You just left the items," despite the fact that we had clearly communicated our plan and followed the instructions we were given. What bothered me most was not the store policy itself, but the complete lack of customer service. There was no apology, no empathy, and no effort to make a frustrating situation easier--especially for a child trying to use birthday gift cards. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. The saddest part was that my son left the store in tears instead of excited about his birthday gifts. What should have been a fun experience became a frustrating and upsetting one due to poor communication and a lack of basic customer service.
