I wouldn't give it 4 stars in a more competitive area, but I've tried most things on the menu, they are consistently good, and they are the best choice I have found down here, by far. I hear the restaurant at Cass is good too, but I've not tried it yet. The best choices t Station 2 are their burgers and home style meals, They offer pizza, but I don't recommend it. I have had the pork chops and honey chicken dinner, and they will both remind you of good home cooking. The burgers are hand made patties, not frozen ones out of a box. The staff and owner, Buster, are all very friendly and great people. If you are driving through to or from Snowshoe, Greenbank Observatory, or any of the railroad attractions in the area, this is a great food stop.

This is a cool little restaurant in this very small town. Most of the storefronts are sadly empty,…read morebut this little gem is still here! After riding the Durbin Rocket we headed here for lunch! The restaurant is old and dated but it has history which is cool too, and the entrance was a little weird! You walked thru a beauty salon to reach the restaurant, but once inside the food made up for the strange entrance. I ordered the fiery double burger, and this thing was a monster for sure! At least a half a pound of burger with three pieces of bread. It reminded me of a super sized Bic Mac with a similar sauce like Big Mac. I do not like Big Mac sauce much, so next time I will order without sauce. The burger was cooked to order, and no pre done burgers laying around. The meal can with chips, and for $7.95 it was well worth it. Next we had dessert and everything was homemade. The pie serving was large and very fresh. Highly recommend trying the dessert! I recommend this place for sure and hope to return in the future

Foxfire Grill - Snowshoe, WV…read more Visited in August with family and our dog while in Snowshoe, WV. Foxfire has a dog-friendly outdoor patio, which was a big plus. The setting is lovely -- Snowshoe Plaza had a car show that day, and the surrounding area is worth exploring. In winter this is a ski hub, but in summer it's still a great spot to visit. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, and the food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs with baked beans and sweet potato fries (sharing with someone else). The good: The baked beans were fantastic, and the sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had. Most of the food tasted great overall. The bad: The ribs were completely blackened and burnt throughout -- not just a little char, but fully charred. I've attached a photo for reference. Burnt food not only ruins the flavor, but it's a sign of poor execution and attention to detail, and over time it can be unhealthy. Overall, the location is great, the service was decent, and most of the food was solid. Unfortunately, the ribs knocked this experience down for me -- enough to take off two stars. Hopefully next time the kitchen cleans up their act. Rating: (3/5) Last visited: August 2025

I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries, and it really hit the spot. Portions are generous and the flavors are satisfying, especially when you're craving something hearty and warm. It can get pretty busy, especially during peak times, so expect a bit of a wait and slower service. That said, the staff is usually friendly, and once you're seated. If you can grab a seat by the window, the village view at night is a nice bonus.

Sept, 2025. Yokum's has a Grill and adjacent General Store, at the intersection of routes 33, 28,…read moreand 55 in Seneca Rocks, WV. Seneca Rocks is in the mountains, and attracts a variety of outdoor enthusiasts, including hikers, rock climbers, fishermen, campers, motorcyclists, and more. And, Yokum's, in business since 1923, and with a family history in the area since the 1830s, is THE hot spot to feed and supply visitors to this beautiful area. It's a casual and reasonably-priced kind of place with historical charm; there's a constant flow of visitors. The General Store offers pretty much anything you would need for a trip to the mountains -- from coonskin hats, to firewood, ice, pantry items, drinks, snacks, and West Virginia souvenirs (including t-shirts, refrigerator magnets, jams and jellies, and so much more). The Grill offers breakfast items (breakfast burritos, bagels, muffins), as well as typical grill items -- burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, pizza, wraps, etc. Of particular note, they've been named as having the state's "2nd best West Virginia-style hot dogs" on the "50 best hot dog trail." The Grill offers both indoor and a few covered front porch tables. We had, however, visited Yokum's for two very specific reasons -- (1) we had just hiked the Seneca Rocks Trail, and wanted to reward ourselves with ice cream! On that note, we found a freezer with all sorts of ice cream treats in the General Store. My husband opted for a pint of Hershey's Cappuccino Crunch premium ice cream. (We had a freezer for the unconsumed portion!), while I chose a Dove ice cream bar. We later realized that, based on reviews on Yelp, the Grill *might* have offered hand-scooped cones but we hadn't checked. (2) we heard that Yokum's has Wi-Fi, a luxury that wasn't available in the National Recreation Area nor anywhere else for at least ten miles. We were able to sit at one of the indoor tables near the Grill, enjoying our ice creams while utilizing the free wi-fi to send a few texts and to plug in some maps for the next leg of our journey. Also worth noting is that Yokum's has an excellent view of the Seneca Rocks rock formation, is in close proximity to the entrances for the Seneca Rocks Visitors Center and the main hiking trail, has easy access off nearby roads and sufficient free parking, offers a clean restroom, and has some large outdoor signs describing local outdoor attractions. Staff were efficient and friendly enough. Yokum's also runs Yokum's Vacationland, offering a variety of accommodations including cabins, bunkhouses, teepees, a motel, and a campground., as well as Yokum's Stables. We didn't visit either.
