They insisted on x-rays many health issues happened in the past four years to me (including MRIs and other types of x-rays) the surgeon and MD who did surgery on me in Sept 2024 said avoid x-rays until October 2025. I am over 70 and not in great health. However, I have never had a cavity in my Life. My previous doctor, Jack DUNN, is retiring, so I had to find a new dentist covered by Cigna Medicare. Dr. Dunn was wonderful. I saw him for eight years. He never did a single x-ray on me and my teeth have been excellent until chemo. Damaged my health in many ways. I have autism and severe medically induced PTSD (which I noted in my online form). The ptsd is due to doctors misdiagnosing people in my family. My sister died before age 40 because of misdiagnosis. My healthy cousin, a dancer, died before age 50 due to misdiagnosis. A doctor over prescribed seizure medicines for me; so my liver is permanently damaged So going to any doctor, including dentists, puts me into panic attacks I am happy my Cigna rep helped me find another dentist; and was extremely compassionate about my "fight" response to fear When the receptionist kept arguing that I MUST get x-rays, I went into "fight" mode (argued in person/on phone later). My mother is an RN and I grew up being told to ask questions because doctors often make mistake mistakes. After what happened to my cousin, sister and me, I will refuse a treatment that I feel is bad for my health. Healthcare workers need to understand that every patient is different

Dr. Burns and her assistant was great when I went in for my initial exam and when I went for my cleaning my dental hygienist (sorry, I forgot her name) was also wonderful. Ended up having to find a dentist open on a Saturday in order to get antibiotics and a time set for an extraction. Update...ended up having to get an emergency extraction and grafts because the infection was destroying my bone. Would have avoided a lot of grief if this dentist had just listened to my history and looked a little closer.

I have good teeth. Zero cavities. Never any gum disease. Have had cleanings every 6 months since age 20. All I need is a cleaning, which I told Sabina in contact form Needed appt. that fits with my husband's work schedule/days off. I do not drive due to health issues. Thus, I rely on him to drive me to/from appointments. Sabria suggested one date at 7 am on a Monday. That's my husband's day off & he likes to sleep late since he is elderly & still works fulltime. In that same email, she suggested another on a Th. at 11 am. My husband works Mon-Friday 8 am - 5pm. So can't do Th at 11 am I wrote back 7 am won't work due to husband wanting to sleep late on his days off. He is elderl & Exhausted from having to work. We are low income, surviving on soc security & his low wage job at Walmart. I suggested Any Mon/Tue after 11 & up to 7:00 pm. I also suggested any day of the week after 6:00 pm since husband works 8 am until 5:00 pm; home by 5:30 & eats dinner then; so free by 6:00 pm) Sabrina's curt reply was "Our office cannot meet your demands." These are not Demands, they are hours/days when I can set up an appt. Dr. Jack Dunn never had Any problems accomodating these hours/days.
