Enter Lafayette Dental Excellence. Dr. Leo, Jane, Mary, and Barb are everything I'd hoped to find, but never thought I would. Dr. Leo excels in the traits I value most in a dentist: patience, attention to detail, and outstanding knowledge of the most up-to-date advances in dentistry - in addition to foundational knowledge from experience, of course. Oh and, of equal import, compassion for my terror of anything remotely related to dental issues. Dr. Leo's assistant, Jane, could not be more kind and efficient. Mary, the office manager, is incredibly knowledgeable as well, so kind (must be a prerequisite for the office), and just fun to talk to - even in the midst of a painful dental emergency. Finally, Barb, my very first introduction to the office when I called, is warm and engaging. She sold me on giving the office a try, and I am so glad I did. Highly recommend this team.

Unlike so many other dentists, I never felt rushed or talked down to. We came to a mutual decision that I felt comfortable with, and I never doubted that Dr. Wood had my best interests at heart, even if it meant turning down business for him. The lady answering billing questions was not very helpful and at times pretty short. Insurance can be scary and uncertain, and as a patient I want to know (1) what the procedure is going to cost, and (2) if there's uncertainty around costs, what they are, and how they might be resolved. Having a patient and empathetic billing person would go a long way to helping this.

I've had both fillings and a crown done with Dr. Visger and all turned out very well and I am very pleased. I have a sensitivity to the numbing shot and Dr. Visger was understanding and educated on this subject. He listened to me about the troubles I've had in the past with the shot and worked to find a solution for me that worked and made the dental work as comfortable as possible. Dr. Visger has a very light hand with drilling. I've had no pain from the drilling, during or after treatment. I've never even had a headache after Dr. Visger's work. The front end staff is helpful and they are ethical with billing and insurance. Scheduling is easy. They kept me up to date on where I was at with my insurance and what it will pay. My dental work always followed the treatment plan I was given and I didn't encounter any surprises in regard to billing. Dr. Visger cares about having positive energy in his office which I really appreciate. He's a very kind doctor and he's always in a good and cheerful mood. The sweetest assistant, Emily, kept reassuring me that everything was okay. She was such a doll. She was also training another young lady. Emily was very professional with her training. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Burns and her assistant was great when I went in for my initial exam and when I went for my cleaning my dental hygienist (sorry, I forgot her name) was also wonderful. The place was very clean and they had up to date technology. I'm so happy I found my new dental place! Thank you everyone and I'll see you guys in 6 months for my next cleaning.
